I made an Artist Trading card using charcoal Bazzill cardstock.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Small Snowflakes and embossed with brass embossing powder.  I went round the edges of the card with Fossilised Amber Distress Oxide and used Antique Linen distress oxide add the bottom to make some ground.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Reindeer Gnome on white card, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue and fussy cut.  For added festive fun I made two more!!!!

Pop Up Flower

Hello Nomad friends.  I asked my mum what she would like on her birthday card, and she said flowers.  So I made her a card with a happy Gerbera.

I cut the smiling flower from a printed card.  I made a window card using circle dies and acetate.  The sentiment panel is a stamp from Crafty Individuals.  I made a decorated paperclip to keep the card shut cos..........

It's a pop up!!!

I attached the fussy cut Gerbera to a bitty ball I made from two shades of green Bazzill.

I still haven't perfected the magnetic closer for my pop up cards, so I decorated a silver speech bubble shaped paperclip with three different strands of fancy wool, two glass leaves and a fancy brad.

I used one of the dies that comes with the bitty ball set to cut the two leaves and I added another Crafty Individuals stamped sentiment panel.

Double Stars, Double Angels

Hello Nomad friends.  I haven't been able to stop thinking about stars.  And then this angel was looking at me, so I found another one, and made a double twofer.

I've used Gummiapan's connected Stars die.
A Christmas and a Birthday card.

I used a blue foil card base and added a black panel with Aztec paint splats.  I die cut Gummiapan connected stars from gold metallic paper and Stamplorations Angel die cut from silver metallic card.

For the second card I used a cream DL card base and added a panel of designer card with distressed and inked egdes.   I cut Gummiapan's connected Stars from red paper and just used the frame.  I added a metal charm from Korthobby.no and then Kort og Godt Angel, stamped, fussy cut and coloured with Promarkers and glitter glue.

Pompom Cover Up

Hello Nomad friends.  Moving briskly along....  This is more the thing!!!!  Did a little double check that I haven't done this before.  Seems I haven't.  Wonder why not???   A gingerbread house tag.

Loved Jenn's little gingerbread house tags so made one using Stamplorations large Gingerbread House stamp.  I added some Promarker, distress marker and gitter glue colour, fussy cut the house, punched a hole and added some brown bobbly wool.  Love this!

Don't Talk About the Pompoms

Hello Nomad friends.  Feeling a certain ammount of urgency today as it's the 24th of 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Only one day to go and I'm 10 days behind!  It also means it's only a week left in November and that means I really should be thinking about getting Chrimbo cards in the post!!   Thought I'd share that with you cos you know, a worried shared is a worry shared!!!  Anyway, back to the tags, and no comments about the pompoms please!

I thought Becky's bobble hat tags were so cute.  I grabbed a scrap of plaid card, die cut with an oval die and added a strip of card with Rubber Dance sentiment stamped on it.  Let's make two!!!  Pompoms!  Not a skill I have obviously.   Will be useful if you are lost in the woods with one of these tags and you need something to drop to make a trail.  Like breadcrumbs!  Only less edible!!!!   A bit of black baker twine and done!!!

Piggin Pink Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  Been a busy day in the scrap room today.  Just want to share a few things.  Starting with this fun pink Christmas card.

I embossed a stitch die cut panel of pink textured card with Do Crafts Candy Cane Pattern embossing folder.  Keeping everything flat I lightly rubber Spun Sugar distress ink over the pattern.  The pig is a Kort og Godt stamp, stamped, coloured with distress markers and glitter glue.  A bit of Norwegian Merry Christmas ribbon and glitter on his hat and around the card edge.

Don't forget there's still time to join the Christmas Kickstart Challenge and Let's Squash It! with the theme use Christmas embossing folder and stamps.

Robin Tag

Hello Nomad friends.   I've made a quick and fun tag for Christmas.  I've used a few different Rubber Dance stamps and combined them in a easy cute way.

My design was inspired by
inspired by Joyce's tagI've used a 15cm high manilla tag and stamped the Textured Bird with black archival ink.  I always think this one looks like a robin.   I masked and then stamped the Birdhouse using Tea Dye distress and a touch of black archival on the edges.  I coloured the bird with distress markers and added some white gel pen highlights here and there.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Tag set.  A bit of fancy wool to finish and done!

Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to check out the Rubber Dance webshop.  There is a selection of stamps on special offer so hop over and check out the sale.

Snowflakes In Her Hair

Hello Nomad friends.  This trend for slimline cards is great for those of us who like big stamps.  I've used this lovely Mary Dee Kimono stamp from PaperBabes and she makes a very striking feature on a DL card.

I stamped her straight onto a subtly coloured card base and then got smudgy with my dark blue ink around the edges.  I coloured with distress markers and added glitter glue to the flowers and the bottom pattern of her kimono.  The sentiment is a Crafty Individuals stamp.  I thought it looked a bit bare so I used a Crafty Individuals Snowflake stamp and second generation stamping to keep it subtle.

Perfect Day to Craft

Hello Nomad friends.  The animals are fed, it raining Cat's, Dogs and everything else, so a perfect day to sit in and make stuff.  Here's a tag to start proceedings.

I was inspired by Elyse's tag.  I used a Sizzix Embosslit die to cut/emboss the wreath from pale green card and highlighted the texture with Cracked Pistachio distress.  I added Cherry enamel accents. I cut the tag using Stamplorations Stitch tag die from red snowflake designer paper.  I initially stamped the Papirdesign God Jul (Merry Christmas) in black, but didn't like it, so I went over with an embossing pen and white embossed.  Pine and lime bakers twine to finish.

Thanks for dropping by.  Off to get coffee and I'll be back.  Hugz

Blue Xmas

Hello Nomad friends.  Making some Christmas joy in my favourite colours.

I used a pale blue DL base card and added a panel of Papirdesigns Jakt og Fiske Fiskestenger designer paper.  I die cut three circles of the same pale blue paper using a stitch circle die and embossed them with Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder.  Then I added a Papirdesign glitter chipboard snowflake to each circle and arranged them on the card.  The sentiment is Papirdesign Trefigurer, God Jul.  Merry Christmas.

Little Stars Are Easier To Handle

Hello Nomad friends.  Darnell's Twofer challenge is in full swing and the theme is Stars.  I must admit I often have good intentions to join this challenge, and I love looking at all the fabulous makes in the gallery, but I haven't been so good at joining in.  Sorry Darnell.  6 out of 10, must try harder.  Anyway, saw a reminder post from Darnell and she said this was the final challenge this year so I decided I had to sit down and join the fun.  So  did.  Here's my twofer..

I used Sizzix Primitive Star die, which has a matching embossing folder.  An encouragement and a get well card.

I painted a panel of card with gold Aztec paint and die cut the star and embossed it with the matching folder.  I used the same gold paint to splatt my black base card and also edged the deckle edge.  I used a Stamploration die to cut the sentiment from a scrap of the painted card.  I did think this was going to be a Christmas card, but Get Well are pretty useful at the moment too!

Since I had that nice panel of gold painted card with the star cut out of it I decided to use it!  I embossed the gold panel with Leane Createif Star embossing folder, and I embossed the blue card base with the Primitive Star embossing folder.  I used a scrap of Maya Designs star patterned paper and sentiment strip from the same paper.  The fox is a Papirdesigns stamp, stamped, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.

Christmas Angel

Hello Nomad friends.  I have these pretty angel stamps which hold a banner saying Gratulerer (congratulations).  A little bit of fussy cutting and a strategically placed banner and Lo!! and Behold!!  Christmas angel!!!!

Inspired by Carol's blue oval tag I cut blue cardstock using an oval stitch die and added some blue 'snowball' wool.  The angel is a Kort og Godt stamp, stamped, fussy cut and arranged around the Unity ripped sentiment banner.  A little Promarker colour and glitter glue on her wings and done!

Polar Bear Snack Shack

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the 17th of the month and time for a little inspiration for the current Let's Squash It! challenge

Use a Christmas Embossing Folder AND Stamps.

Please note we are asking specifically for a Christmas Themed embossing folder to be used on your project along with stamps.  If anyone want to make a non-christmas card then that's fine, as long as the folder you use is Christmas themed LOL.  I did seriously consider converting my igloo to a sandstone hut, or a grassy knoll, but in the end the white on white of virgin snow kept me honest.

I used two embossing folders and a stamp for this card.  All three were magazine freebies!  Hop over to the Let's Squash It! blog for all the details and the challenge linky.  This is perfect for a male friend of mine who just came back from Svalbard.

If you do make a Christmas card you can also link up at Jo's Christmas Kickstart challenge where the theme is Use a Christmas Themed embossing folder and stamps!  Sounds kinda familiar.........

Golden Hind

Hello Nomad friends.  Haven't worked out how to add from one post more than once to the linky so each tag gets it's own post.  Feel free to just read the pictures.  Ooh look, a tag!  Inspired by Lindsey.  I went stag, rather than llama, although I do have a soft spot for llamas!!

I used a kraft tag and a spellbinders label 20 die to return a bit of a fancy top which I covered in gold glitter glue for some extra Christmas bling.  I dry brushed some gold Aztec paint on some glossy paper, stamped and embossed Unity deer and fussy cut.  I used some round stickers along the bottom which I cut in half and some blue/white bakers twine for the tie.
