Mini Me Three

Hello Nomad friends.  More snowmen!!  This is the mini version of Mr Frosty available in the TH Vault Winter Wishes die set!!  Also fun but a bit more fiddle.

So cute I had to cut three!!  Great for using small scraps, but not for using a lot of scraps LOL.  A small piece of white, black and red with a tiny tiny touch of orange.  This is a mini slimline size card, cut with spellbinders label die.  I used the largest die for the base and the next one down for the crossbar.  I embossed the base panel with Simon Says Stamp All Star Burst embossing folder and archival ink and the crossbar with Simon Says Stamp Splendid Snowflakes embossing folder.  I cut the snowflake from the vault die set from blue glitter and added a foiled sentiment.

Remember if you are using real stamping with your anything Christmas you can link up at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and if you include some circular things you can join the fun at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge

What a Weird Day

Hello Nomad friends. Happy Accension day.  Hope you have had a lovely day.  I've made a hello baby card using some Memory Box and Poppystamp dies.

I found some fancy handmade blue pearlescent paper and backed the die cut circle with some smooched aztec paint card.  I used Memory Box Baby Script and Precious Mobile cut from scraps of blue and yellow card respectively.  I used markers to colour the frame, hearts and stars.  Then I used some more scraps of the blue and Poppystamps Hello Background die for the hello!

Bluetiful

Hello Nomad friends.   Hello again!!   Another card for the Poppystamps Cute Critters challenge, this time using the gorgeous Grand Whittle Reindeer.  In blue!!!  Well, I do like blue and he does look rather magnificent whatever shade he is.

I went for a CAS look on a black base card.  I  used some white scraps for the snow cut with Memory Box Gentle Stitched Landscape dies and a spellbinders flower middle for the wacky stars.  The sentiment is a Kort og Godt stamp.

Catching UFO's

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy Sunday.  Hope you have had a wonderful day.  I haven't done so much, but I did get into the craft room and finish a couple of UFO's.  The first one has been waiting on me finding a particular die that had vanished.  Turns out I was looking for a thin die stack set and this one is actually a bigz die.  That made my idea a little bit more tricky but I sorted it out in the end........

This is my third entry for the Crafty Individuals black and white challenge.  I stamped the background stamp on white card and cut with the star die.  Then I backed the star panel with a black card panel cut slightly larger.  I stamped the Sea Turtle, fussy cut and added him to the card.

December Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Hello Nomad friends.  Don't Panic!!!!  Today is obviously not the 2nd of the month, but since my brain malfunctioned last month and I forgot to take a picture of my card, and since it seems said card has been partying somewhere between here and Texas, I am just really late with my reveal.  Anyhoo, here it is, finally with Patricia in Texas.  Thanks for sending the pic Patricia.

I used this wonderful Impression Obsession stamp, added a little colour, die cut with a fancy edge die and added some little foiled stars.  I've always thought this image is hilarious cos I assumed the little house is an outhouse.  I should think if you are flying around in an open sleigh in the middle of winter you would need to go before you go......    Off to add this one to the reveal.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Little Witch, Do Not Sleep, The Moon Peeks in Your Window and You Must Fly

Hello Nomad friends.  Ever been in a baby witch's bedroom.  This is what I imagine it would look like

I embossed a black panel with Memory Box Grand Galaxy embossing folder and smeared it with green neon ink.  Should have tapped!!  Looks like the stars are trying to run away a bit.  I cut Memory Box Precious Mobile from purple card, added some sharpie colours and a few of bats cut with Poppystamps Batty Triptych die.  Sleep safe little witch.

Fairy Princess

Hello Nomad friends.   I wanted to have a go at this card design I saw over at Kaartjes Inspiratie Challenges Blog.  It looks complex, but Renate has done a nice video and supplied the measurements.  I used a pack of princess papers I had which also had printed die cut ephemera.   OK, lots of pictures......

This is what it looks like closed

First flaps open

Second flaps open

Center flaps open

Then you have the tags in the hidden pockets.  I used some of the ephemera for these, added some of the fairies and backed then with plain card cut to shape.  I also added extra glitter.

This is the back of the card.

Thanks for dropping by.  I'm joining the Papirglede scrapathon this weekend so I'll be back real soon......Hugz

Always Nice to Find a New Reason to Celebrate

Hello Nomad friends.  Last of the month and trying to sneak in under the wire at a few challenges.  I have been enjoying playing along at the Lunar New Year challenge, especially since I love dragons!  This year being Year of the Dragon, dragon birthday cards are one of the allowed themes.  I must admit, my dragon stash has grown!!  Ah well, like I said, I do love dragons.  Then this month there was an option to make cards for the Mid-Autumn Festival.  Totally new one on me, but always like a good celebration, and this one appears to involve the moon and rabbits, so yeah!!

I found this starry paper which I had embossed with sizzix Rays embossing folder.  I used the moon stamp from Hero Arts Autumn Moon set, which possibly was made for the Mid-Autumn Festival with oriental elements and tiny little bunny silhouettes.   I stamped the standing bunny on some green card, fussy cut the top of the bunny and used a Stamplorations stitched hill die to cut the hill.  The bunny faded into the starry sky so I added a vellum fog bank to make him stand out.  We have had plenty fog here recently.

Be Still My Glittery Hart

Hello Nomad friends.  It all looks so pretty in the real, except for the fact that the 'no shed' was not entirely accurate!  Glitter and mirror card are a challenge to photograph aren't they, and now everything and me looks like a glitter explosion.  Bling!!!!!!

I used blue archival to stamp the Crafty Individuals Seeing Stars Background on the background panel and then added some strips of silver glitter tape.  I cut a bauble from silver glitter using a circle die and cut the bauble hanger from silver mirror card.  The deer is Crafty Individuals Highland stag stamped with blue archival on white card and fussy cut.

Bearly Caffienated

Hello Nomad friends.  It's Christmas!!!
Only joking......  Blame it on the coffee

The red star panel was a left over I found and thought I'd make something with it.  I embossed a piece of white with the Let It Snow embossing folder and put it behind the red panel.  Then I decided the red panel needed some texture too so I lined it all up in the folder again!!!   I know, making it difficult.  I cut the snowy hills from white scraps and stamped the Greeting Farm bear on another bit of white, coloured with promarkers and fussy cut.

Do Fish Sing In The Night

Hello Nomad friends.  The sun is trying to come out but I've been feeling inspired and creative with a little mini journal page.  Well, maybe not so mini.

Dragon Fire

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh, me again LOL, here with some inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Red, White and Blue Challenge.  The design team makes are looking so striking and we can't wait for you to help us fill up the linky for a glorious display of red, white and blue.

Today I've used Lost Coast Designs Shooting Star Background.

Such a gorgeous stamp and one of my favourites from Lost Coast Designs.   This is a very simple make, letting the stamp do all the work.
I stamped Shooting Star Background with Midnight blue archival ink and then used red and blue Promarkers to add colour.  Then I matted it onto the dark blue base card and added the Happy Birthday sentiment as a fishtail banner.

Link up your stamped projects predominantly featuring the colours Red, White and Blue
for your chance to win Lost Coast Dollars.

I hope you like my card.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Goldie, Myrry and Franck

Hello Nomad friends.  Here I am!!!

A while ago I was lucky enough to win these cool wise men stamps from Emerald Creek.  I have wanted these for ages.  Love Emerald Creek embossing powders, but they also have some very cool stamps, it's a pity they don't seem to be stocked by anyone outside of Canada.  Anyway, say hi to Goldie, Myrry and Franck!

I used Taylored Expressions Starry Sky stamp and embossed with gold powder.  I die cut some palm trees from black card.  The kings were stamped, coloured with Promarkers and I did a partial fussy cut giving the rest of the white panel a watercolour wash.  I added a die cut moon.  I know, everyone goes for a big star, but they can't follow something that is behind them can they??  That means you must be the star!!

Thanks for dropping by.  I'll be back soon, so don't go away far, far away....   Hugz

The Flying Club

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with a final bit of inspiration for the Let's Fly challenge.  I decided to work in my long neglected art journal with a plethora of stamps.

I started with Lost Coast Designs Flying Pig as an ATC and Carmen's Veranda Art Wings To Fly sentiment.  The pig was stamped, coloured and fussy cut and I glittered the wings.  One ATC seemed lonely so I stamped Lost Coast Designs Gnome Witch On A Broom on a piece of white card, watercoloured with distress inks and cut with an ATC die.  Lost Coast Designs Dictionary Words on cork, embossed with black embossing powder and I found some more cork embellishments to finish the page. I used Carmen's Veranda Bullseye on a piece of offwhite card and ripped the edges.  Then I fingerpainted with Worn Lipstick distress ink to add some patches of colour. I stamped Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background on a scrap of patterned card and stamped Whimsical Flora directly on top and selectively coloured for a stained glass look.  For the journal page I used bubble wrap to stamp the colour with a few different distress ink.  Then I stamped a border with Lost Coast Designs Dominos Border.

I hope you like my art journal page.

Soaring Feline

Hello Nomad friends.  We have a cat.  She loves high places.  She has got herself in trouble in high places!   Luckily there is the whole 9 lives thing.  I am sure she is missing a few of her 9!   I was wondering today if cats like to jump trying to catch birds just for the hunt, or is there something with that whole weightless, almost flying feeling.

Soar
with your heart full of
moonlight
and your soul full of
stars

I've used Funky Fossil Deco Luxe designer paper for the panel layered on gold glitter card.  I stamped the cat from Feline Magic on another one of the Deco Luxe papers, using the gold and grey marbling of the paper to highlight the cat image, then added some metallic sharpie colour before fussy cutting.  I stamped the sentiment from the Midnight Feather stamp set and added some MFT die cut gold mirror card stars.

Hope you are feeling creative today.  I am, and that's not been common recently, so maybe I'll be back again soon.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Happy New Year 2024

Hello Nomad friends.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  Gosh, 2024, how did that happen!  We celebrated the arrival of the new year with a few friends last night and I couldn't help but think it didn't seem so long since last year.  I hope you had a lovely evening, however and with whomever you chose to spend it.

Well, it's the first of the month, nay even the first of the year, and we are kicking off the fun over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with an Anything Goes challenge.  There are a few changes to the challenge as well.  We are going monthly, so you will have more time to think, create and join the fun.  We have also updated our rules so do be sure to read them to make sure your entry qualifies for the prize.  I've made a Happy New Year card featuring the awesome Alfred Hitchcock stamp from Carmen's Veranda.

Isn't he grand!!
I definitely need to use him more often!!!

I stamped the Carmen's Veranda Staircase and masked it.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs Grunge Border 2", Dream Dictionary Word and Happy New Year with various archival inks to make the background.  I stamped Alfred, added a little promarker colour, fussy cut and added him to the staircase.  I left the white border at the top because it's not something I would usually do and I thought it looked kinda cool.

The Anything Goes challenge is running all month over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and I hope you feel like grabbing some stamps and join the fun.  The team is posting awesome inspiration throughout the month, so do hop over and check out their projects.

Bauble Town

Hello Nomad friends.  Have you got your jingle on yet??   It's all about winter all month over on the Lost Coast Portal To Creativity.  I hope you will join us with your stamped anythings featuring wintery things.  I grabbed a classic combo for me, Carmen's Veranda Snow Cowboy and Southwest Town.  I love putting these two together.

I was going for a bauble effect...... but Snow Cowboy had other ideas and hopped out of the frame for a nice dimensional look.  If you pop over to the blog you can get the step by step photos and tips.

I hope you have time to join the In The Deep Midwinter Challenge.  The linky is open all month and don't forget to follow us so you don't miss anything!  The team will be posting more inspiration throughout the month so check back and join the fun.
