Travel Bottleneck

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm back!!!  OK, so this has been taking up a significant piece of my crafty time the last day or so.  It should have been quicker, but I did it my way............slow......   I made a tag album inspired by Megan Quinlan's tutorial on day 8 of the 2023 Fodder Challenge.  You will only be able to access that link if you signed up, which was free.  Not sure if you still can, but worth a try.

Megan made an awesomely quick and easy album using tags.  I used Studio Light papers and ephemera for this one.  Get ready for lots of pictures......

Front cover

Page 1 - Made a pocket behind the pic and added a little tag so you know it's there.
Page 2 - photo frame.
There is a pocket between each page.  That's the tag in the pocket on the RHS

Page 3 and 4 both have a pocket.  The two hot air balloons are removable, and another tag sticking out the RHS of the hidden pocket

Page 5, just a picture LOL.   Page 6 another pocket with a tag and that one on the RHS again!!

Page 7 a picture.  Check out da wabbit!!  Page 8 a photo frame.

The end!!

This took time.  I love it.  I want to make more.

Let's Travel

Hello Nomad friends.  I made a mini album.  I have been thinking about 'getting into' album making for a while.  I have bought a few cool dies.  I have looked at them.  Lots.  Yesterday I decided to give it a spin.  Total novice.  Mistakes were made.  Solutions were found, or will be found.  Here it is.  Lots of pictures.  I love it.

Here it is closed.  I used a studio light die to cut the cover from two pieces of patterned paper and a piece of greyboard I layered together.  The cover is 'substantial'.

Here it is, opened up.

And inside.......

Ways To Fly

Hello Nomad friends.  I have a little inspiration today for the current challenge at Let's Squash It! where we want you to Keep It CAS.  Any embossing folder and a Clean and Simple creation.  I am a big fan of clean and simple and embossing folders can add a real wow to a simple design.  I decided to combine nature and technology and used part of Cuttlebug's Bird Call embossing folder in a slimline format.

I've used a cream DL card base and cut a white panel with Mama Elephant Scallop Stitch Slimline die.  US slimline and A4 sizes are different from european ones, but this die is easy to line up and shorten the panel to make it fit my base.   I stamped Stamplorations plane and sentiment from the Born to Roam set with black archival.  Then I embossed the top part of the Bird Call folder.   Remember, it's easier to stamp first and then emboss......

I hope you get a chance to join our Keep It Simple challenge.

Seagull Adventure

Hello.  Welcome.  I've made a travel themed card using Crafty Individual stamps.

I started with a slightly ombre card base and stamped the seagull and suitcases from CI Seagull Adventure stamp with black archival.   This was one of the first CI stamps I bought and still one of my favourites.  I think the seagull perched on the suitcases adds a bit of an unexpected element.   He also seems to be keeping an eye on those other birds in the background.  I masked and stamped CI Full Steam Ahead with brown archival ink.  Love this grungy collage background stamp.  I added some orange gel pen colour to Seagull's beak and legs and a bit of weathered wood distress ink to his body.  Then I stamped the sentiment, which is part of CI Bicycle Embrace stamp, with black archival on white card and cut it out.  I says Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Have Wings, Will Fly

Hello.  Welcome.  A travel themed ATC

I started colouring my ATC with Black Cherry chalk ink.   I stamped Crafty Individuals Seagull Adventure on the right hand side with black archival.  I stamped and embossed with white powder Rubber Dance Vintage Script on blue paper.  I ripped it and used walnut stain distress on the edge.  The plane is from Stamplorations Born to Roam set, stamped and fussy cut.  The sentiment is a Rubber Dance stamp.
