Hearty Tree

Hello.  Welcome.  It's Rudolf Days!!!  Love Rudolf Days!  So here's a little Christmas Tree covered with love.

I used a piece of patterned paper for the card base and stamped Crafty Individuals Noel Border with black archival ink.  I cut and embossed Memory Box Frosted Christmas Tree from green card, added red glitter glue over the embossed areas and added lots of tiny little pale green heart shaped buttons.  A larger red star button and done!!

Simple Birthday Wishes

Hello Nomad Friends.  Here we are, bathed in sunshine.  Keep your cool on and don't forget to get a drink with an umbrella in it LOL.  I have made a CAS birthday card using the cute Wolf stamp from PaperDolls Riding Hood set and a repurposed chipboard bauble.

So, I'm looking at this CratePaper Christmas chipboard set and wondering why there were a load of balloons in it.  Wolf said 'don't look a gift balloon in the mouth' so we didn't.  Shortly thereafter my overheated brain realised that these 'balloons' were baubles!!!   Ah well, Wolf loves it.

I used Stamplorations Bubble Dance stencil and Salty Ocean distress oxide ink in the card corner.  I stamped and embossed the Happy Birthday, also Stamplorations, on the chipboard balloon.  I stamped the PaperDoll's Wolf with black archival ink, fussy cut and coloured with Dusky Rose and Cornflower Promarkers.

Right, I'm off to enjoy the sunshine.  Have a wonderful day and thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

The Other Side of a Kiss

Hello Nomad friends.  I made another card using the lovely Geisha and Bamboo stamps from Lost Coast Designs.

I stamped and masked the Geisha and then stamped the Bamboo with distress oxide ink.  Simple, but a great thinking of you, or maybe even a sympathy card.

It's Just Tea

Hello.  Welcome.  Happy Solstice.  We've had a day full of all sorts of weather.  Keeps you on your toes when you aren't sure if it's raining, hailing, blowing or shining from one moment to the next.

I cut white card with Stamplorations Zen coffee2 cover plate die.  I gave it a rough watercolour wash with blue Brusho.  I stencilled a piece of dark blue card with Salty Ocean distress oxide through Stamplorations Dots and Dashes stencil.  I glued the die cut over the stencilled card and cut with an arch tag die from Sizzix.  I stamped a sentiment from Stamplorations New Beginnings stamp set on vellum using Fossilised Amber DOx, cut it with the die and added it to the cup.  A bit of wool and done.

Smart Fox

Hello.  Welcome.  I was hunting through a box of pre-stamped images and came across this cute little fox that I had stamped on a scrap of patterned paper.  In the interests of trying to use up some UFO I searched a little further and found a sentiment I had stamped on a scrap of shrink plastic, but never skrunk!!  Well, they seemed made for each other....

I found a white ATC base and smooched Ripe Persimmon and Mowed Lawn distress ink on it.  I fussy cut the Unity fox and skrunk the sentiment and put it all together.

We should all take some time each day to be overwhelmed by the sheer amazingness of it all.

Hello.  Welcome.  Today I am sharing a quick but beautiful card using the faux stained glass technique.

I cut a white card base with Sizzix Double Stitch Rectangle die.  I stamped Blank Page Muse Woman with Rose on acetate with black Staz-on.  Colour on the backside with Promarkers.  Fussy cut and use double sided tape to adhere it to the card base.  Quick, easy and beautiful!

Mistletoe and Roses

Hello Nomad friends.  Another warm day here in Norway so I decided to chill and go all Christmas and bling.  The challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for the rest of this month is Face On.  Use a human face on your stamped makes.  I decided to use Lost Coast Designs gorgeous Mistletoe Goth, with supporting action from Sketchy Rose and Peace Dictionary Words.

I kinda cased my own design that I used Mistletoe Goth for last month, keeping her slightly off the right hand side, but I got a bit more arty on the left hand side, masking and stamping the Peace dictionary words and, with the help of a bit more masking, stamping and embossing the Sketchy Rose with white tinsel embossing powder.  I used Promarkers on the main image and lots of blingy iridescent glitter glue.

Do hop over to the Portal for all the details, more photos, lots of inspiration from the team and to link up your Face On stamped makes for your chance to win Lost Coast dollars$$$$!!

Antique Silver

Hello.  Welcome.    I've made an anniversary card.  It's a bit elaborate, but then 25 years of marriage is something to celebrate.

Everything silver, of course.  I cut the ornate shapes using three Marianne Design dies from silver mirror card then covered the cuts with black pigment ink, had a cup of tea and wiped the ink gently off.  This gave a more antique look.  The black and silver pieces are all die cut embossed paper embellishments.  Maker unknown.  The key is a metal charm from Korthobby.  I mounted it all on a piece of Marianne Designs patterned paper and added a silver mirror card diecut 2 and 5.  Happy, happy.

Summer Flowers

Hello.  Welcome.  It's warm and wonderful in Norway today and the garden is blooming.  I made a card using Rubber Dance stamps and the lovely summery challenge colours and went all floral background.

I used Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron distress ink and stamped the beautiful chrysanthemum stamps from the Bold and Beautiful set all over the background.  The beautiful Violinist is stamped directly on the background and the Happy Birthday sentiment added using some cute little tags and a flower brad.

Hop over to the blog for all the details and a step by step how to do.

Bamboo Kisses

Hello Nomad friends.  15th of the month and a new challenge starting at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  This fortnight we have the theme Face On and want to see a human face on your stamped creations.  Any type of project, any occassion, but remember to use real stamping and a haman face.  Here's my card.

This was really easy but I love the result.

I started by stamping and masking the geisha from Lost Coast Designs Asian Set.  I inked up the large rectangle Shadow Frame with Picked Raspberry distress oxide and then pressed the Bamboo stamp, also from the Asian set, into the wet ink.  This technique is known as kissing.  Then when you stamp the shadow frame you get a faint bamboo shaped gap!  Pretty!!

I finished by stamping Carmen's Veranda Quiet Chaos Madness sentiment, although I think this background would suit many different occasions.

Faux Stained Glass Wedding Card

Hello.  Welcome.  I am over on the Colourcraft blog today with a wedding card I made using Aztec paints.  Love the metallic shimmer and the beautiful look when the painted card is cut and embossed.

I used three Marianne Design dies with card I painted with Colourcraft Gold Aztec paint.  I also painted the outside of the Korthobby sunflower metal charm.  I used green Aztec paint for the center panel for a faux stained glass effect.  It looks a bit gothic window me thinks.

Hop over to the Colourcraft blog for all the tips and techniques.

He, He, Hee

Hello.  Welcome.  I would like to extend my eternal thanks to all the Christmas challenge blogs out there who are helping me keep on track to replenish my Xmas card stash.  It was seriously depleted to zero last year and I am enjoying the challenge of building it up again, one card at a time, cos that's how I roll........

Here's an Elf for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge.  That theme actually threw me a bit cos I remember I was elf challenged a few months ago.  I can't for the life of me remember if I solved that challenge, but luckily today I remembered I had this Paperartsy set that contains a number of little, slender xmas characters, including this elf, who I think looks a bit like a stick of dynamite!!

I was the lucky winner at Hazel's Christmas challenge two Saturdays ago and a lovely pack of christmas papers have found their way to me.  Thanks Hazel.  I decided to do a partial fussy/die cut on this one using a craft knife to cut around the three envelopes and then die cut with Stamplorations Snowy Stitched Hills die.

Really love how that stitched border seems to tuck behind the little envelopes.  I edged the patterned paper panel with turquoise chalk and stamped the elf on a scrap on white card.  I coloured him with Promarkers and fussy cut.  Doesn't he look mischevious?!  A perfect card for a young man me thinks.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Hello Hen

Hello.  Welcome.  I sent this card to Marga in Spain as a part of the Card Chain Challenge international card exchange.  I am just about to add it to the May reveal as it was a few days late.  Maybe it caught a slow pigeon.  Maybe Bird Brain walked there??  She certainly looks like she is on summer holiday.....  Feet up, empty egg box, summer colours.

I used a cream textured base card and added a scrap of patterned paper that looked a bit Moroccan Tiles.  Then I added a piece of chicken printed ribbon that I have had in my stash forever!!!!!   I stamped Art Impressions Bird Brain, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  I used Poppystamps Hello cutting plate on a scrap of the same patterned paper that I used at the base of the card.

If you would like to see the full reveal of all the cards that whizzed around the planet in May then hop over to the Card Chain Challenge blog.

If you would like to join the fun the July sign up is open now.  Make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card, everyone's a winner!!
