Follow That Star!!!!

Hello Nomad friends.  The last day of November and I am looking forward to December, hoping it brings inspiration and the arrival of my jingle.  So to finish off the month I want to share this card I made using Penny Black stamps and dies.

I used a black card base and cut it with Penny Black Starry die and smeared salty ocean distress oxide across the die cut area.  I backed the cut stars with a piece of card smeared with fossilised amber distress oxide.  Then I stamped Penny Black We Three Kings on white card with blue ink, fussy cut them and added them to the card.

I'd also like to wish my mum a very happy 80th birthday.  There was cake........

Thanks for dropping by.  See you in December.  Hugz

Hello Nomad friend.  A little ATC with Poppystamps dies.

I used snippet of orange corrugated card for my ATC base and embossed it with Poppystamps Leafy Background die.  I smeared the texture and edged with brown ink.   I cut Poppystamps Peek a Boo Fox from a scrap of card, coloured him with sharpies and backed him with leaves cut with Poppystamps Orchard Leaves die from a scrap coloured with Infusion powder.

Queen For The Day

Hello Nomad friends.  Yee haw, I got voted queen at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers so I'm doing a little GDT spot for them today for the start of their new challenge - Q is for Queen!!!  Well, of course, that's me!!!!!!  I hunted for queeny things and found this gorgeous quirky doodle doll from Lost Coast Designs

So I stamped the doodle doll and the Carmen's Veranda sentiment and used gel pens to colour my flying queen.  Then I masked her and when a little crazy with Dylusions spray mists.  A little heavy on the after midnight maybe........

Christmas Tree Squash

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm here with some inspiration for the Let's Squash It! Let's Make a Christmas Card challenge.

Yep, Christmas is coming so grab those embossing folders and make some easy cards with squashy WOW!  Here's mine and I've gone navy and white with lovely scandi texture....

I simply stamped Crafty Individuals Noel Border stamp with navy ink onto a white card panel.  Then I embossed with Sizzix Scandi Borders embossing folder and mounted the panel on a white card base.

You have until the end of the month to share your Christmas cards that include the use of at least one embossing folder.  There are some lovely makes in the linky already so hop over and take a look and leave a little love.  We all need a little love and you never know you could make someone's day so much better.

Harts and Stars

Hello Nomad friends.  I was over at the Crafty Individuals fb group this afternoon watching a lovely little live session by Jean and I decided to take a look through my CI stamps and see if I could actually make something.  Mr Mojo has been hibernating.......   Anyway, miracles happen and I made a card and a tag!!!

I started with the tag and I love the result.  I am doing quite a lot of 'inspired by things on my desk' crafting at the moment.  There are so many things on my desk, and the number just seems to grow and grow.  Now I added lots of CI stamps!!!  But at least I have a result or two LOL.  I bought these lovely Daisy Mae nested arches torn edge dies because of the largest sizes that would allow me to cut nice shaped cards and I love those torn edges!  I used one of the medium size dies to cut a navy tag.  Then I stamped a piece of grey card with Crafty Individuals Inky Script Background and cut with the torn edge die.  I stamped Crafty Individuals Highland Stag with brown archival, fussy cut and added him to the tag.  A metal heart charm and some wool to finish.

Then I switched to stars for my card, mostly cos stars offer easy fussy cutting opportunities.......   See, Mr Mojo is thinking about hibernating again!!!   I cut the navy card base with one of the bigger arch dies.  I stamped Crafty Individuals Seeing Stars Background on grey card and cut it with a large and a smaller torn edge arch dies to give me some faux layer effects.  Then I stamped Crafty Individuals Zentangle Star on yellow card with burgundy ink, fussy cut, layered on a navy mat and added it to the card.

Coffee Parteee

Hello Nomad friends.   I have been wanting to join the mega Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and decided I'd better get my kettle on or I'll miss the frog!!!  So here I am with my first, hopefully not last, entry to the coffee lovers hop.

I based my card on a sketch I found at a new to me challenge.  The fun thing about this challenge, and there are two sister challenges too, is that they are concentrating on ephemera.  Well, if my translation from Dutch is as I understand it.........  Dutch is tricky sometimes LOL.  They want the focus to be pictures or printed images and the such.  This got Mr Mojo's attention cos I have some very pretty little pictures and die cut printed images and this gives me that nudge to get em used.  The base card is Kort og Godt brown with snowflakes designer card.  I used patterned paper and the pretty printed image and sentiment from Hunkydory Festive Treats printed die cut sheets. A little plain red paper and glitter tape and three enamel dots from Papirdesigns to finish.

Men Tags

Hello Nomad friends.  There is a new challenge starting at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today and the theme is Tags.   I decided to recruit some of the lovely blokes from Carmen's Veranda and make some awesomely handsome tags.  Frankly my friends, I wonder why I hadn't thought of this earlier 's bwahhhaaaaaaaa.......

I decided to save ink by stamping Carmen's Veranda Alfred Hitchcock Standing, Charlie Chaplin and Frankenstein onto pink card using archival black ink.  I used sharpies to add a little colour to Frank and Charlie's eyes and to Alfreds suit.  I also did a bit of white gel pen on Alfred's clapperboard.  Fussy cut, make a hole, add a little wool and fun tags ready to go!!!!

Charlie was restless and I got a bit of a shadow, but I going with it cos perfection is overrated and I quite like the extra facial details!

The gorgeous Frank!!

I thought it would be disrespectful to make a hole in Alfred's head so we went for the off the shoulder look for his tag tie.

Join the Tag You're It! Challenge for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.  Please remember we need to see real rubber or clear stamping as the focus of your tag for it to qualify for the prize.

Lefty in the Flowers

Hello Nomad friends.  I've got a little inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Spooktacular Florals challenge.  I  used Lost Coast Designs Day of the Dead Lefty with ATC Doodle Flowers and the wonderful Carmen's Veranda sentiment.

A simple one layer card with a bit of masking, lots of stamping and a bit of distress ink watercolouring.

Link up your stamped Day of the Dead makes or anything featuring flowers with a spooky or sombre twist.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project for your chance to win some Lost Coast Dollars.

Merry Christmas Tree

Hello Nomad friends.  We are starting a new challenge at Let's Squash It! today and the theme is Christmas Cards which include the use of embossing folders.  Easy peasy challenge!  I used Hobby Solutions Merry Christmas folder which is this lovely tree shape and gold textured card from Do-crafts.

I added a bright gold border and mounted it on a square linen texture cream card.  I thought the embossed panel looked a little bare so I die cut some stars from the same textured gold card and scattered them in an ascetically pleasing manner.

I hope you have time to join the Let's Squash It fun.  Hop over to the blog and check out the lovely inspiration from Jo and our fabulous guest.

Textured Christmas Tree Tags

Hello Nomad friends.  My thoughts are firmly on Christmas crafting.  I usually stick with cards until December, but there are a few challenges looking for tags, so tags it is!!  I've made a trio using the lovely Rubber Dance Textured Christmas Trees stamps and bows from Rubber Dance Cosy Christmas.

I used a Gummiapan Old Tag die to cut three tags from grungy card.  I stamped the trees, masked and stamped the hearts and stars which are also included in the Textured Christmas Trees set.  The bows are from Cosy Christmas, simply stamped on red card and fussy cut.   I love this set for all the lovely christmas accessories.   A great one if you are making some Christmas ephemera.  I coloured the trees with distress markers.   Textured Christmas Trees are available as red rubber or as an A5 clear set which includes some extra stamps and today is the last chance to order your Rubber Dance Christmas stamps with 10% off!

Remember, if you are creating anything with Rubber Dance stamps this month, whatever your inspiration, please post a new project in our Facebook  group or over on Instagram. You must have used at least one of our stamps on your project to join. If you are posting on Instagram use the hashtag #rubberdancemoodboard and tag us @rubberdance in your post! cos someone is going to win €10 to spend in the Rubber Dance store!

Running Through The Flowers

Hello Nomad friends.  I have some Spooktacular Florals inspiration over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today.    We want to see your Day of the Dead makes or anything featuring flowers with a spooky or sombre twist.   I've made a tag with the awesome Day Of The Dead Man by Lost Coast Designs and one of my most favourite sentiments from Carmen's Veranda.

Be afraid?  Very afraid??  I die cut the tag and stamped with Lost Coast Designs Flowers Background with pink ink and Carmen's Veranda Free Bad Advice using black archival ink.  I stamped Day Of The Dead Man on some white card, coloured with distress markers, fussy cut him and added it him to the tag.  A little fancy wool and done!

Happy Mail Day

Hello Nomad friends.   It's the 2nd of the month so time for the October Card Chain Challenge reveal.  32 gorgeous handmade cards went whizzing around the multiverse last month.  Some whizzed faster than others LOL, but even the Greek post office have stepped up and out performed themselves this month!!   Sorry, internal joke, cos our Greek friends often seem to wait a long time for delivery of their cards.    Anyway, I sent this card to Joanne in the UK.  This one had a life of it's own and started going in one direction and then changed it's mind!!!

I used a shaving foam background and added a spiderweb embossed frame.  Penny Black Treats dog and Crafty Individuals sentiment.

Do hop over and check out all the amazing cards in this month's reveal.
If you would like to join the fun you can SIGN UP for November until the 6th.
