Travelling Boris

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some inspiration for the For The Men Challenge.

I've used Carmen's Veranda Boris.  Isn't he wonderful!!   I do love these big people faces stamps.

I decided to go black and white for this card.   I stamped Lost Coast Designs Mini Phrenology Collage twice on a white card panel with black archival ink.  Then I stamped Boris on white card, fussy cut him and added him.  To finish I stamped a couple of stamps from Lost Coast Designs Travel Quotes set.

You have all month to join the fun with your stamped makes featuring men or masculine things.
We need at least 20 entries to award the prize.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Santa Boris

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some more Christmas in July inspiration.  I decided to dress Boris in red and make him rock, which also fits with the 100th Christmas Kickstart Challenge where I am elfing out this month and the theme is Merry Go Round.

I stamped Carmen's Veranda Boris Karloff on white card and cut with a circle die.  I coloured Boris with red sharpies and water coloured with distress inks.  I stamped the star from Carmen's Veranda Elf with Star using salty ocean distress oxide on the still wet salty ocean water coloured background to give that nice smudged effect.  I cut a slightly larger circle with a stitched circle die from blue card and used the star with the distress oxide to stamp all around the edge for a bit of texture.  I cut a base card with the same stitched circle die.  Boris rocks!!

Arresting

Hello Nomad friends.  Here's a little more inspiration for the Love and Hearts challenge over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.   I thought Boris and this sentiment just seemed made for each other.

I stamped Carmen's Veranda Boris Karloff on grungy grey card and Carmen's Veranda You're Staggering on a panel of the same card.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs Hearts and Curls Border twice with pale blue archival ink on white card, added my fussy cut Boris and mounted on the sentiment panel.
Boris, you are such a bad boy!!!!

Hat Trick

Hello Nomad friends.  I am playing with hats and my favourite Carmen's Veranda boys today!

Oooh, they are so handsome, and the promise of 8 million dollars and chocolate sounds like a great idea!  I've used brown archival inks and masked Charlie and Frank before I stamped Boris.  The sentiment underwent extensive surgery to change it from 8 lines square to 3 lines long.  That's why it has a little wiggle LOL, but I like wiggles......  I edged the card with brown Promarker and also drew a line under the boys.  Then I used a caramel Promarker to fill in the background around them.  Finally I stamped Charlie's hat on a scrap of the same card using the brown archival ink, fussy cut and stuck it on Franks head.  Very ummm, yes, well...........  Maybe that's why Frank never got a hat in the movie!!!!

Grab your stamps and join the hatty fun for a chance to win.

I stamped the blokes with black archival and then used different archival colours for the backgrounds

Quick Boris - 31 Days of Halloween Day 16

Hello spooktacular friends.  I have been teaching a class this evening so it's a quick make from me tonight.  I am loving this amazing Boris Karloff stamp from Carmen's Veranda.  I used it with an action wobble last month and I've gone with green again cos he looks very cool with green.  I still think those are scary eyes!!

So I stamped Boris on white card, coloured the background with green Promarker, adding a bit extra around him as a shadow, and mounted it in a lime green trifold aperture card.  Bwahhhaahahahahahaa.  Scary eyes!!!!

Scary Eyes

Hello.  Welcome.  Do you ever get a new stamp and you stamp it for the first time and go Wow!!!  Ok, maybe quite often LOL.  I just got this fab stamp from Carmen's Veranda called Boris Karloff, cos it is LOL.  I thought he would be great for the spooky season, and oh look, he is!!  Those are scary eyes bwahahaahahahaa.

I was putting this together yesterday, but despite kinda knowing how I wanted it to go, it just never quite got there.  Then this morning, Mr Mojo and I walked into the craft room, took another look at Boris, and Mr Mojo says 'he needs a wobble'.  !!!!!!   Well, of course he does!!!

I stamped Boris on a panel of white card using black archival ink.

I used a black Promarker to draw two lines from his ears to the edge of the card and filled those areas using Bright Green Promarker.  Then I used Mowed Lawn distress and Stamplorations Swirly Blooms stencil to add some pattern.  The panels at the top gave me some challenges.  After messing up some more stencilling, and disliking them black and white, and then just black, I cut them away!

So this morning I took a panel of black card, embossed it with Stamplorations Double Stitch Rectangle die and used a white gel pen in the groove to give me a frame.  Then I mounted it on a larger black card base and added the Boris with the green wings panel using an Action Wobble.

Poor man's video of Boris in action!!!

This is going straight into my Halloween decorations!!  Love it.  Very spooky with the eyes there Boris.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz
