WoW Dragonfly

Hello.  Welcome.  CASology have Dragonfly as this weeks prompt and this idea seemed the obvious one to go for.

I cut Stamplorations Dragonfly Cover Plate die twice from white card, trimmed off the bits I didn't want and layered the die cuts into the corner of my white card base.  I cut Winnie and Walters thanks die from white card and added it.

Over the Fence

Hello Nomad friends.  Just a quick little card using MFT New Best Friend stamp set.

I stamped the little girl and her cat, coloured with Promarkers, and fussy cut.  I die cut the woodgrain paper for the fence look and added the little girl and cat.  Love the look on that cat's face. To finish I stamped the birthday sentiment.

Hello.  Welcome.  I've been dabbling with the Colourcraft Aztec Metallic Lustre paints again.  Gold and copper are just perfect autumn colours and along with a stamp, some dies and an embossing folder I made this cute tag.

I used Gold and Copper Aztec paints, Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags and Accents dies, Sizzix Leaf embossing folder and the squirrel from Heartfelt Creations Furry-Tailed Frolics stamp set.

Hop over to the Colourcraft Blog for all the details and techniques I used.

Hello Nomad friends.  I am in my craft room keeping cosy on this particularly wet and windy Sunday.  Yesterday I was looking through my patterned paper and my eye was caught by a piece of Teresa Collins xmas paper.  It put me in mind of the Scandinavian Holiday challenge at Christmas Kickstart so I dropped the tea cups and grabbed a reindeer instead.

The patterned paper has cream, red and newsprint snowflakes on it and also some tiny red seasonal words.  I cut a piece with Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle die and then embossed with Sizzix folder.   I die cut Sizzix Reindeer 2 from grey woodgrain paper and embossed it with it's matching folder.  Then I smeared the deer diecut with Carmation red archival ink.  Mounted everything on a red card base and declared it done!!

Stop The Bus

Hello.  Welcome.  Do you ever see a challenge post and Mr Mojo goes 'those colours, that die, that stamp and we got it chickie!'  This happened this morning with the new Time Out challenge after I spotted the picture of the poodle with a bow on the shelf at the back!!

What no poodle!!  Nope, just black and white repeating patterns and a girl with a big polka dot bow.  I've used Poppystamps Pickering Snowflake Background die with white card and mounted on a black card base,  I stamped Carabelle Studios Kiss (thanks Dot) on white card and partially fussy cut.  I added it to the panel and stamped a small curved Gratulerer (congratulations) from Kort og Godt, and doesn't it just fit perfectly there!!

Here's a close up of the Timeout moodboard that inspired me.

Cat with Flowers

Hello.  Welcome.  I've just added the card I sent to Tina to the Card Chain Challenge reveal.  I was a little bit late getting it in the post and it was a little slow traveling to Poland, but now it's there I can share it with you here.  The Card Chain Challenge is a monthly international card exchange.  You make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card, everyone wins!!  Here's the card I sent.

I used a purple card that had glitter in it for my base.  Then I cut 2 Marianne Design dies from silver mirror card.  I layered them with a circle of the same purple card and added the Marianne Designs fussy cut cat, stamped on floral paper.  The sentiment is from Crafty Individuals.

You can see the complete reveal of cards that whizzed around the planet in August HERE.
If you would like to join the fun the October Sign Up is open.

Hope you are having a crafty day.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Hello Hello Hello

Hello.  Welcome.  I've made a fun shaker card using Memory Box Underwater Scene.

I die cut Memory Box Underwater Scene from grey woodgrain card and gold mirror card.  I coloured the grey woodgrain die cut with Promarkers and added the gold frame over the top.  I used turquoise marble card base and added a layer of foam with a circle aperture.  I filled it with sequins, added an acrylic pane and a grey woodgrain panel.  Then I stuck the framed Underwater Scene on.  I die cut two fish from the underwater Scene set, foiled them with Colourcraft foil and added them on top of the acetate.  I used Poppystamp Hello Background die and cut the three hellos, which of course are much more fun than one!!

I Take Mine Black

Welcome Nomad friends.  The temperatures have cooled down this week, and the last few days have been wet and wild, so I have been hiding in my crafty space.  Tuesday we had an electrical inspection so the crafty space has finally been cleaned, decluttered and reorganised.  Previously I couldn't find things cos they were buried.  Now some idiot has moved stuff around and I still can't find things!!  But I expect I will get used to it, and it is really nice to not be moving a pile of stuff every time I want to do something.  Just gotta keep it tidy now!!  But first Christmas!!!

I've used with the Christmas Kickstart Challenge colours again.  I started by stamping Hero Arts Birds and Trees stamp on my blue card base using dark blue ink.  This stamp comes with a matching Sizzix embossing folder, but I didn't use that.  Then I cut Sizzix Twigs die from blue card, covered it with iridescent glitter glue and added it to the card front.  I love the result, great for colour co-ordinating if you don't have the right colour glitter paper.  Just remember to poke any extra glitter glue out of those little holes in the die cut before it dries.  Much easier I imagine bwhahhhaaaahaa.  I stamped The Greeting Farm Let It Snow bear on a scrap of white card, fussy cut and coloured with gel pens.  Found the sentiment already stamped on a scrap, cut it and backed with a scrap of glitter paper.  Then I thought I needed a tree line, so I stamped more of the trees from the Hero Arts stamp on more blue scraps, fussy cut them and added them across the card.  Well worth all that snipping.

Dance A Long A Dorothy

Hello Nomad friends.  Welcome to a new month and a new lot of challenges starting.  Gotta love a challenge LOL.  Over at Lost Coast Designs we are kicking off the month with a theme of Song and Dance so break out your dancer stamps or stamp a song and join the fun.

I think this little lady is dancing into OZ what with yellow floors and flying monkey skies!! I used Lost Coast Designs Robust Dancer, PMC Circle Frame and Carmen's Veranda Flying Monkey Background.

I stamped the dancer with black archival and masked her.

I stamped the circle frame stamp with Orange Blossom archival and masked that as well.

Then I stamped the Flying Monkey background with Sky Blue archival and unmasked everything.  I gave the circle floor a watercolour wash with yellow Brusho powder in water.  The dancer was coloured with distress inks and gel pens.

Grab your dancing shoes and join the fun for your chance to win Lost Coast Designs dollars!!  Plenty more inspiration today and the whole month over on the blog.  See you there.  Hugz

Hello.  Welcome.  In Christmas mode again.  Playing with this fun snowman stamp from Blank Page Muse.  The winner for me on this one was the bunnies.  You know me, can't pass up a cute bunny, and I admit to having quite a snowman collection as well, so win win!!

I stamped and fussy cut BPM Winter Snow Friends Bunnies and Snowman and coloured with Promarkers.  I used a white hammered card base, drew a simple pencil line and then did a watercolour wash of Chipped Sapphire distress ink above it.  I stamped the steampunk snowflake cluster with Stormy Sky distress ink and the sentiment with black archival.  Both of these are from BPM Penguins on Ice set.  A little bit of sparkle on the snowman and done.

Pick a Day

Hello.  Welcome.  I was sure yesterday was tomorrow, but now I've realised it's just today, so I'm winning aren't I???
Aren't I?????
Ah well, any day is a good day for Christmas!!

This card was inspired by the new Christmas Kickstart challenge which is to be inspired by their blog header.   Well, it is inspiring, and a little bit zany.  I went with the colours.  The patterned paper is from a Sizzix paper block and the parcel is a CratePaper chippy.  I just added a little glitter.

Keep the Drinks Coming

Hello Nomad friends.  We had rain and thunder and lightning but it is still hot.  The cat doesn't know what to do with herself!  She even put her legs on backwards this morning!!

What we need on a hot summer day is a pretty drink with a strawberry on it.

I stamped a panel of white card with Gummiapan Grid stamp and Sky Blue archival ink.  Then I stamped the Gummiapan cocktail glass with black archival and coloured with Promarkers.  I cut the grid panel with Stamplorations medium double stitch die and mounted on a pale blue base card.

Penguin Polka

Hello.  Welcome.  Was tidying up my desk and stumbled across some cute little pre-printed tags.  I thought the music one would be perfect for a backdrop to a couple of penguins.

I stamped the two penguins from Poppystamps Love Note set on white card, coloured and fussy cut them.  These cuties come with ice skates, but I cut those off and arranged them so they look like they are sprightly.  No idea what the tune is but it looks quite intense!!  I stamped the sentiment from Poppystamps Christmas Friends on a piece of ripped vellum and added that to the top of the tag.

A Hot Hello

Hello.  Welcome.  Hot here!  How about you??  We are having some hot summer days and there is an explosion of butterflies!!  Never seen so many butterflies.  Lots of plums on the ground after last weeks rain and winds and it seems the butterflies think they are delicious!  Especially the really smushy ones!!!  They swarm up from the ground and from the trees when you walk past.  It's wild!!  I have new appreciation for people who take lovely butterfly photo's cos I am not having much luck capturing them.

So we will have to just settle for a pretty tree card in hot colours.  I used Memory Box Tree of Wonder and Gentle Stitched Landscapes dies and Stamplorations double stitch rectangle die with red, yellow and orange card.  The hello was cut using Poppystamps Hello Background die.

Thanks for dropping by.  Stay cool.  Hugz
