Parisian Wedding

Hello Nomad friends.  The weather has been lovely here in southern Norway so I have been out in the garden much.  Maybe yesterday was a bit too much sun so I decided to catch up on a little crafting this afternoon and go out in the garden again this evening.  The light evenings are so lovely.  This weekend there is another online meeting.  These have been wondrous and the Norwegian groups and shops have been fantastic keeping us entertained.

Here's my card.

Used that lovely Quarto Fold from Mrs A again for a wedding in Paris.....

I used Prima En Francais papers for the tag, tickets and folded pocket.  The Dear Bridal Couple die is from Kort og Godt.

Inside I used a couple more tickets from the Prima pad and I've added some fancy heart staple brad thingies that I've had forever and a day.......

A half folded card base and a little more of the Prima paper to finish the back.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a wonderful Sunday.  HUGZ

Red White and Blue Girl

Hello Nomad friends.  Still working on some cards for Confirmants, or failing that, young adults.   I've gone all red white and blue and die cuts.

I die cut a blue panel with Stamplorations Circles All Over Texture Cover Plate and mounted it on a white card base.  You can see some of the white dots showing in the background.  Then I added a white die cut flower panel sent to me by Arlene.  Thanks Arlene.

I added two sentiment strips that were on the edge of a Kort og Godt patterned card sheet and die cut the Kort og Godt girl from blue card.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Pentangle Delight

Hello Nomad friends.  I had a desire to do some fancy folding today so I popped over to Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge Blog.   Mrs A is on her second journey through the alphabet, with a different card fold for each letter.  It's actually an awesome resource, and many of the card fold have more than one version, all carefully explained with measurements and pictures.  Thanks so much for this Valery Anne.  I decided to try version III of the Quarto Fold card.

Isn't that a cool shape!!!

I started with a 20x20cm piece of Imaginise double sided paper and the final card will fit in a 15cm square envelope.  I cut blue paper with a Kort og Godt boy die.  The paper wasn't quite the colour or the weight I wanted so I cut the boy three times, glued them together and then used a Indigo Promarker to colour the top boy.  You can see the coloured and the uncoloured versions here.

I glued the boy, some wooden stars and a sentiment panel onto the folded pocket.  I also made a tag for the pocket.

I cut the tag from the same paper using Stamploration die and stamped a Kort og Godt with an encouraging message for the confirmant.

I folded a piece of Kort og Godt patterned card and added it to the back of the pocket.  The inside card has just a little blue tree branch detail on it and I stamped the sentiment, good luck for today and the future.

And here's the back of the card.  I used the same green lined paper to cover the top of the pentagon.   The blue is the back of the folded piece and I stamped the fabulous made by me stamp that Jo sent me for my birthday.  Thanks Jo.  It's so cool!!!!!

most of Carmen's Veranda Live In The Sunshine sentiment.  Hop over to the blog for all the details and more piccies.

Very Very Pink

Hello Nomad friends.  Comfirmation season is looming.  Will it happen?  Who knows.  But just in case......

There's also the added plus of using up some scraps that were on the desk.

I started with a piece of double sided Kort of Godt patterned card 16cm x 20cm.  I scored it in the middle and 2.5cm from the bottom.  I folded and inked the edges and removed a little triangle from the middle of the two small panels.

I used the plain side of the card for the outside and the Konfirmant printed side for the inside.  I glued the small panels on each side to make pockets.  I die cut Papirdesign Sjekk Vipps die from various pink scraps and tucked it in one of the pockets.  Vipps is a mobile app payment system that is very easy to use and popular here in Norway.

I cut another panel of the same patterned card and added it to the card base, word side out.  I found the die cut heart, glitter circle and wiggly hot pink scraps on my desk and decided they looked perfect together!!   The girl is from a pack of Panduro die cuts I won in a weekend challenge on fb. A few tiny pink flower rhinestones and done.

Simply Coffee

Hello Nomad friends.   Birthdays abound.  Here's a card for a coffee lover.

I used a gold card base, cut Stamplorations Coffee Cup Silhouette die twice from black card and layered them on a yellow rectangle.  I stamped the small Gratulerer Med Dagen (Happy Birthday) on a scrap of the same yellow card, edged it with black marker and added it to the card.

Simply Blingy

Hello Nomad friends.  It's time for a little more inspiration for the May Let's Squash It! challenge, leave some space and bling it up!

I've kept it simple and blinged it up with Nellie Snellen Ball Flower embossing folder.

I used an offwhite wood effect panel, smeared the flat side of my folder with Tumbled Glass distress ink and embossed.  No water added and I got this lovely swirl effect with the ink.  Gorgeous!!!  I think it goes well with the subtle woodgrain texture.  I blinged up my flowers with rhinestones and stamped the Norwegian Happy Birthday sentiment.   A blue card base and done!!

I hope you get some time to grab your folders and bling and join the fun.  Jo did a fabulous technique time post so check that out for ideas and inspiration.

Unicorn Snacks

Hello Nomad friends.   What do unicorns eat???
Seems they are partial to chocolate, coffee and cake...

I used a die to cut my artist trading coins (2.5" diameter) from slightly grungy designer card.  I stamped Gummiapan Unicorn using black archival and masked.  I stamped various parts of three Gummiapan sentiments relating to food and drink.  Then I stamped Gummiapan small chevron numerous times with Dandelion archival ink.  I used bright distress ink markers and scribbled in the background colour.

Squash It Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  The 10th of the month so Jo and I and our wonderful guest are Squashing it out of the park!!!!!!  Yes, it's time for the new challenge at Let's Squash It! and this month we are all about space and bling!!!!

For full details, roolz and inspiration hop over to the blog.   If you need help with this one Jo did an awesome and amazingly inspiring Technique Time post so don't forget to check it out and leave her a little love.  Here's my squashed offering.......

It's CHRISTMMMAAAAAAASSSSSSSSS!  Ah well....  And blue, my favourite colour.   I actually though I would be making a sympathy card, but I spotted this lovely Crafts Too Christmas Tree Frame folder and couldn't resist.  I embossed a turquoise panel and smeared with bluebird archival ink.  I decided to cut out the open area in the middle giving me an actual frame to add to a pale blue base card.  I blinged it out with rhinestones and added a die cut God Jul (Merry Christmas) in the middle.  Love that frame!!!!

Hop on over to Let's Squash It!, check out the inspiration and ideas and join the fun.

Birthday Flowers

Hello Nomad friends.  I have had lots of happy hours in the garden this week, but rain today and tomorrow means crafty time!!!  Starting with a scrappy happy birthday card.

I used Marianne Designs papers, dies and acrylic stars.  The happy birthday is a goldline sticker.  A bit outside the comfort zone, but a great way to use some scraps.

Bats, Cats and Splatts

Hello Nomad friends.  There's a fun challenge in a brand new ATC group by Gummiapan and they want us to show them our cellars, so I put together a creepy mouldy background and added some cellar denizens on some Artist Trading Coins.

I started by cutting some ATCoins from pale blue card using a 2.5" diameter circle die.  Then I randomly stamped them with Gummiapan Distressed Grid and Splat stamps using Memento London Fog ink.

I decided my cellar needed more mould so I used the Splat stamp again with Bluebird and Prickley Pear archival inks.  I grunged the edges with Cracked Sapphire and Stormy Sky distress ink.

To finish I stamped Gummiapan's Tiny Bats and the Silhouette Cat, the bats with black archival, the cats are a combo of black and blue.  I liked that the ink pad gave some texture on the solid cat stamp so I decided to use it as a fun feature.
