Poppin In

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm poppin' in today with some inspiration for the current Let Us Entertain You challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  We want to see your stamped anythings with an entertainment theme, so think anything to do with entertainment.  Juggling dogs, trapeze artist cats, clowns, circus, movie stars, theatre, opera, dancers, TV films etc etc.  The team are posting their awesome makes all month so make sure you check out all the posts on the blog

I've used Lost Coast Designs Silhouette Lady with Umbrella, who makes me think of Mary Poppins, and what's more entertaining than a lady flying in on an umbrella.  She has obviously arrived and is standing within the Arches and Door Background stamped on some slightly inky blue paper.  Then I added the Thinking Of You from the Party Words set.

You have all month to share your stamped anythings with an entertainment theme. Please read the updated rules before entering. Real rubber or clear stamping and theme must be the focus of your project for a chance to win Lost Coast $$$$$'s.

Homage to Alfred

Hello Nomad friends.  The May challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is Let Us Entertain You.  We want to see your stamped anythings with an entertainment theme so think clowns, circus, movie stars, theatre, opera, dancers, TV etc etc.  I have used the wonderful Alfred Hitchcock and combined him with a tonic diecut.

I used Carmen's Veranda Alfred Hitchcock standing and clear sentiments and created texture on the die cut with Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background stamp, keeping it all black and white.

Looking For Lumberjacks

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm doing some emergency elfing out at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge after the scheduled elf got the covid!!!   Get well soon elfy.  The theme is Playing With Plaid and I could bearly contain myself.  I made a pop up easel Christmas scene.

I used DCWV plaid paper for the background panel and inside panels.  The curtains are MFT Take The Stage dies.  The bear and tree are from sizzix Forest Animals 2 die set.  I used a sizzix santa hat die to cut the tartan paper and improvised the slippers!!   The gifts are DO-crafts cardboard stickers and I used another sticker for the Merry Christmas.  Easel card, folds flat for sending.

Join the Playing With Plaid fun and don't forget to keep it Christmas!!!

Going Round

Hello Nomad friends.  It was National Scrappbooking Day on Saturday and I wanted to share a layout I made this weekend.  I have some round watercolour papers and I used brusho's on the background.

I used some ripped scraps and a filmstrip cut using Studio Light die.  The butterflies are Rubber Dance stamps.  I added an elongated offset frame that I was going to add a photo to, but then I spotted this square print which seemed the perfect focus.  The picture and the words were some items that came in a recent happy package from a crafty friend.  I finished by doodling some hearts.

Neverending Pirates

Hello Nomad friends.  I made a neverending card today.  Thought it was going to be a neverending project bwaahahahahahahahaa.  If you are doing this you will discover if your cutting is accurate or not and make you question the actual length of a cm or inch!!!   Those four base pieces need to be perfect or it all goes horribly wrong before it begins.  But once the base is together it was really fun cutting lots of little bits to cover all the panels.

And here we are back at the beginning.  Loads of patterned paper used here.  OK, maybe not loads.  Loads of bits of patterned paper LOL.  I've had these pirate papers for a while and bits have been chopped out of them over the years.  The card is 15cm x 15cm so I pieced the patterns into the panels.  The little twin pirates are Marianne Design dies.

Low Flying Panda

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the 2nd of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge reveal.  32 cards whizzed their way around the planet bringing joy and love in every envelope.  I'd like to thank all the amazing artists who take part in this exchange every month.  Your kind words, support and awesome art make this exchange a delight to administer.  A special hug to Jo, my wingwoman, muse, mojo booster and #1 helper.  It's amazing how this all comes together every month like a well oiled machine LOL.

My card went to Dagmara in Poland this month.  I was a bit slow off the blocks, but I hope it caught a fast pigeon and arrives soon.....

After a shaky start, when it looked like I might miss all the options bwahahhahahaaha, I finally settled on friendship and pop-up.  It's an easel card with Funky Fossil papers and the Up, Up And Away panda with balloons stamp.  I actually fussy cut the panda and his balloons, but he looks well integrated here.  The sentiment is from Crafty Individuals and is one I have used a lot during my many years of sending Card Chain Challenge cards.

Hop over and check out the whole awesome and amazing REVEAL
