Merry Fishmas

Hello.  Welcome.  Today we saw some sun, and a big frost.  But a dry day isn't anything to sneeze at and the chicks had fun wobbling around the garden.

But soon christmas so I grabbed a couple of different birds and made this

The penguin dies were a freebie on a magazine I bought whilst on my travels and the sentiment and stitched dies are from Stamplorations.  I cut my card base with the stitched rectangle die and then embossed with the Joyeux Noel die.  I cut and paper pieced my penguins from a selection of scrap papers.  Little penguin looks like that fish is a top present.

Digging Ditches and Hailstorms

Hello.  Welcome.  Spent the afternoon digging out a drainage pipe that had given up the battle against all the rain we have had this year.  Maybe the 112mm that came down yesterday was it's death knell!!  We only had to endure a couple of hail showers and it was good exercise.  Ho ho ho.

Over at Paperartsy Anneke made a beautiful winter wonderland scene stamping and embossing white patterns on white papers and using them to make trees so I thought I case Tracey's cute xmas tree tag using Anneke's technique.  I used various white papers and white powders.  The little tree at the front is WOW white puff powder, the middle one is Stampendous fine white and the back one is Anita's white, which has a distinctively cream look.  I used small stamps from Paperartsy HPXM02 and a Sizzix tree die.  The tag and sentiment are both Stamplorations dies.  I added a white lace tie.

Welcome Home

Hello.  Welcome.  I'm back!!!  It's nice to be home.
Tags are great for using up the scraps, which is good because I did bring home a couple of new items to add to the stash LOL.  All the paper and card I used in this tag came from the scraps box.  Even used a bit of a pizza box to back the pretty base paper.  Just remember to stick your paper on the side with the picture of the pizza LOL or you will have cheese and pineapple where you want to write.  How do I know this??  ROFL

I was inspired by Lynne's blingy christmas tree tags.  I used Marianne Designs Wooden Christmas Tree die and cut it three times, twice from green card and once from some patterned card to which I added a little silver ink.  I layered the die cuts and then decorated with some star and dot stickers from Craft Creations.  I used some green holographic stickers on the trunk.  I cut my tag using Stamplorations medium Luggage Tag die and a scrap of PaperArtsy paper.  Thanks Lynne for inspiring me to reach for the eyelets.  I have quite a few of those, rarely used.  I added a metal snowflake charm and ball chain both from Korthobby.no

The Way We Were

Hello.  Welcome.  There's a new challenge over at Rubber Dance and we want to see your movie inspired stamped creations.  I have gone a little vintage with my depiction of the 1973 romantic drama
The Way We Were

I cut my pink Bazzill card base using Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle die and then smooched some Worn Lipstick distress ink on.  I stamped the Nostalgic Couple on the same card using brown archival ink, cut around the image and and then wetted and distressed the edges.  I stamped the key with hearts using Worn Lipstick , fussy cut and popped it up on some foam pads.  The sentiment was stamped with purple chalk ink, die cut and also adhered with foam pads.  Both these Rubber Dance stamps are retired.

Thanks for dropping by.  Do visit the blog to check out the inspiration from the team.  I think this is such a fun challenge theme and the team has come up with some great movies and amazing projects.

In case you missed it there were some fantastic new stamps released yesterday and they are on sale until the 21st so do hop over and check out all the fabulous fun makes and grab yours now.

She is Autumn

Hello.  Welcome.  I made this card for my sister.  As soon as I saw this sweet image from Gummiapan I thought it would make the perfect card for her.  And this sentiment is just too cool.  So I went all shades of autumn and really love how this turned out.

I cut my card panel using a stitched rectangle die and Gummiapan's Stitched Squares dies for the aperture.  I stamped and fussy cut Gummiapan's Liten Yoga and coloured her with Promarkers and distress ink.  I was going to use some foliage, but decided it was too busy, so I kept it simple and just backed the aperture with vellum to mute the card base orange a little.  I stamped the Gummiapan Eat a Cake sentiment with Spiced Marmalade distress ink.

Hello.  Welcome.  Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity we are celebrating Day of the Dead and it's my turn today to offer a little inspiration.  I found this quite a challenge, because it's not an event we celebrate, but after having much fun with colour and flowers and skele-bits I am really quite in the mood.

Full details on how I made this are over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with more detailed photo's as well.  Do hop over and check out all the lovely projects from the team.  We will be posting every day this week and there is also a Day of the Dead challenge where you can link up your projects for a chance to win some Lost Coast dollars.

Merry Christmoose

Hello.  Welcome.  It's time for the 25 Tags of Christmas over at Tracey McNeely's blog and I am starting by being inspired by Tracey Day 2 tag.

All the card I used came out of my scraps box.  I used Die-namites Deer Birch Background for the trees and Frantic Stampers Moose die.  I cut my tag using a Sizzix die from a scrap that has been inked and embossed with a Rubber Dance feather stamp.  I figured it would be disguised behind the die cuts, and I think it adds nice texture.  Sentiment from MFP and snowball wool from the stash.  Didn't have a tiny snowflake die so I added a litte star instead.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

A Tweet Pair

Hello.  Welcome.  Ain't it just great to make cards??  Send cards??  Get cards??  That's what we do for the Card Chain Challenge, and here's the card I made and sent to Bibi in Norway this month.

I used a stamp from Unity 7/17 KOM.  They are just so cute!!  I coloured with distress inks, using my refillable water brush, and gel pens and added some stitch detail with Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch die, and the sentiment, which is also a Unity stamp.

If you like to get happy mail and send happy mail then hop over and check out the Card Chain Challenge.  The November sign up is open until 6th November, and it's the last exchange of 2017 so, if you want to give it a try, now's your chance.

Rejoice in the Moment

Hello.  Welcome.  Gosh, November!!!   How scary is that?  Bwahahahaahaa.  Speaking of scary, I hope you had a bootastic Halloween.  Now it's just everything turning towards Christmas!!!  But, then again, maybe not quite yet LOL.  I love the bright autumnal colours that are the new colour challenge at Rubber Dance.

I made a mini card, cut using a Sizzix die, but it could also double as a tag.  I stamped the flower from Rubber Dance Textured Flowers set in the center, then using masks I made a whole flower bed.  I coloured with Spiced Marmalade distress, red Promarker and green neon gel pen.  The sky is a blend of blue distress inks.  I stamped the cloud and bird from Rubber Dance Whimsical Summer and fussy cut them.  The bird was coloured with Promarkers with green neon gel pen highlights.

I stamped the sentiment from Rubber Dance Think Again set on shrink plastic, die cut with a Sizzix circle die, coloured and shrunk it.   It fitted perfectly in the flower.

Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to hop over to the blog and check out all the gorgeous inspiration from the team and link up your colour inspired project.  And don't forget if you are shopping at Rubber Dance you can get free worldwide shipping with the code GTFreeShip when you spend over €15.  Hugz
