Tweet Christmas Wishes

Hello Nomad friends.  It's CHRISTMAS!!!!!!   Well, Christmas in July at least.  I have decided to hark back to the past when things took time and people bothered to roast chestnuts over open fires!!  A bird in a top hat in vintage style seem to fit the bill......

The base panel is some cool designer paper.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Megan's Christmas Bird and coloured with red, green and purple Promarkers, white and glittery gold gel pens and distress markers.

Hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for all the details and masses of Christmas fun and inspiration.  Link up your stamped Christmas projects for a chance to win!!

Christmas Bird

Hello Nomad Friends.  Here's a cute little Christmas Bird in a clean and simple style.  Actually he's not little, this is a 13x13cm card!!  Sometimes we need to keep it simple at this time of year, and when the stamp does all the work it doesn't need anything more.

I stamped Lost Coast Designs Megan's Christmas Bird on a white card with black archival.  I coloured with Promarkers and gel pens and added a bit of glitter to the snowflakes.  The sentiment is on a panel cos I flubbed it.  Three times!!!   Ahh well, grip the positive....it made giving it that nice border easier LOL.  Hop over to the Lost Coast Designs blog to check out more inspiration from the team and link up your own makes.

Just Bearly

Hello.  Welcome.  Needed a graduation card so decided to use this fun bear from Sparkle and Sprinkle.

I liked Vicki's card where she used a bright patterned center panel and plain surround so I decided to stamp my bright red stitch die cut panel with the light bulb image from the Sprinkle and Sparkle Final Role Call set.  The bear is from the same set, stamped on patterned paper and fussy cut.  I used a gold mirror layer and a gold card base.  The 'mat' the bear is sitting on is the center piece from Poppystamps Button Oval Contour die cut from the same card as the base card.  I stamped the sentiment and inside I added another one that reads 'The Future is Bright'.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Hello.  Welcome.  Happy Easter to all who partake thereof, and a Happy Day to everyone.  Hope the Easter Bunny has been good to you and your basket overfloweth with eggs of many sizes.  Especially chocolate ones.  Big, chocolate ones.  Hugz

Decided to have another play with the retiform technique.  Really quite intrigued with the result and, for someone who doesn't really like fiddle, the masking and inking and masking and stamping is really quite relaxing and enjoyable.   I decided to go blue.  I like blue.  Also I keep coming across the autism awareness blog hop and they like blue as well.

So I masked off my sections and used Salty Ocean distress.  Remembered to do the edges this time as well LOL.  I liked the shape of the center section and still thinking Autism blog hop I wondered if I had any light bulb images.

Yes!!  Stampers Anonymous Industrial Blueprints.  Actually, I thought these were perfect for what I understand Autism to be.  The lightbulb, the cogs, the lock and the key.   This is a fun technique and makes an interesting one layer card.

Thanks for dropping by.  Go gentle with those eggs now.  Hugz
