Christmas Mona

Hello Nomad friends.  I have some final inspiration for the Christmas in July challenge over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  I have a tendency to steal Lost Coast Designs Santa Mona's hat and add it to other images, cos it's just so lovely and fluffy, but tonight Mona is keeping her hat on.

I used Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background, Santa Mona, Grunge Border 2" and the Merry Christmas from the Party Words set

You have until the end of the month to join the Christmas in July fun so grab your stamps and get stamping!!
Check the rules to make sure your makes are eligible for the prize draw.

Happy Birthday from Mona

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy 4th July!  If you are celebrating than have a good one.  Today I have some inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Celebrate It! challenge.  I've gone for a birthday celebration.

For this card I used Lost Coast Designs Mona Flying, ATC Doodle Flowers, large rectangle Shadow Frame and Party Words.   The design was inspired by the current Lift Challenge where they want you to mask an area, blend inks, over stamp and then add a black and white image.  I had an idea to use the large rectangle Shadow Frame, ink it with distress inks, spritz a bit with water and stamp it on my page.  Nice!  But then thinking about masking off to stamp into the inked area I didn't fancy fussy cutting that frilly edge....  So I decided to try stamping the flowers onto the shadow frame stamp and then stamping the shadow frame onto the inked page.

Ooh, pretty!!   Having a stamp platform or stamping tool is really helpful with this technique so you can perfectly over stamp LOL.    I used Spiced Marigold, Worn Lipstick  and Mustard Seed distress inks for the background and Rusty Hinge to stamp the Flowers.

I stamped Mona Flying on white card and fussy cut her and added her to the card.  To finish I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on my inky stamped panel.

Join the Celebrate It! challenge with your stamped anything featuring any celebration.  You can submit your entries in the linky party below until 23.59 PST on the 14th and don't forget to follow us so you don't miss anything!  The team will be posting more inspiration throughout the month so do check back.

You tell em Mona!  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Flowers Background on white card with Wilted Violet and a touch of Worn Lipstick distress inks.  I stamped Victorian Mona, coloured with distress inks and fussy cut her.  I stamped the Carmen's Veranda Giveashitometer sentiment on a scrap of white card and squiffy cut the panels, edged em with black ink and added them to the card.

Merry Mona

Hello Nomad friends.  We are going Face On this fortnight at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with makes that feature a human face.  You can join the fun until 31st August 23.59 PST so grab your people stamps and link up.  Here's Mona, all ready for her Merry Christmas!

Using black archival ink I stamped Lost Coast Designs Santa Mona, masked her and stamped Lost Coast Designs Bubbles Background.  Inspired by the photo challenge at Christmas Kickstart I decided to leave lots of white and add some pops of colour.  I used red, green and yellow Promarkers to randomly colour clusters of bubbles and Mona's hat and dress.  Then I added glitter glue to the hat rim and pom pom.   To finish I stamped Lost Coast Designs Merry Christmas with green ink, edged the sentiment strip with green ink and added a couple of yellow enamel dots.

Grab you stamps and join the fun
Include a human face or two for a chance to win.
See you there!!!!
