Happy Halloween

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh, the last of October.  The most spooktacular day of the year.  Happy Halloween everyone.

I stamped Crafty Individuals Poison and Danger onto white card with plum ink.  I cut the panel with Waffle Flower Postage Collage die.   I edged the card and did a few smears and streaks with burgundy ink.  I stamps the upper part of Crafty Individuals Gothic Crow, added a little colour and fussy cut.

Moonlight Flit

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity again today and have made another quarter circle card.

Such a fun card shape.  I used yellow card for my base and did some off block stamping with Lost Coast Designs Zombie Chicken and dandelion archival ink to add some texture.  I stamped part of Carmen's Veranda Flying Monkeys Background and the Witches Go Riding sentiment directly onto the card base.  Gnome Witch on Broom and Z-Sassy cat were stamped on white card, coloured and fussy cut before being arranged on the card.

The linky is open until 23.59 PST on the 31st so submit your stamped anythings with a Halloween theme if you are making a stamped project for the season.  Black cats, night scenes and all things pumpkins qualify LOL.  Just add a bat and call it good.  Don't forget we need to see real rubber or clear stamping for a chance at the prize.

TaDa Gets His Wings

Hello Nomad friends.  I have another project for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  The team is sharing bootiful projects every day this month and we hope you will join the fun and link up your stamped anythings with a halloween theme.   It doesn't have to be spooky or scary, anything that fits the season is good as long as you have used real rubber or clear stamps.

Today I have used Lost Coast Designs TaDa Mouse and Large Tigger Shrine.

After I stamped the shrine I smudged around with purple and black distress inks and gave the shrine a watercolour wash with pumice stone distress ink.  I stamped TaDa on white card and fussy cut him stamped part of Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding sentiment on the top of the shrine.  If you want to see what he's hiding you need to hop over to the Portal.....

We would love to see some more entries in the linky if you are making a stamped project for the season.  Black cats, night scenes and all things pumpkins qualify LOL.  Just add a bat and call it good.  Don't forget we need to see real rubber or clear stamping for a chance at the prize.

The Curious Case of Floating Frank

Hello Nomad friends. I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some bootastic inspiration for the 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  If you are a regular visitor here you are possibly aware of my love for Frank and his famous friends by Carmen's Veranda.

I've used a card shape called a Floating Centre Panel Gatefold, which I found the instruction for over at Papercrafting with Paul.  I adjusted the dimensions to accommodate the stamped images I used, so this is a slimline version.  I used Lost Coast Designs Fourth Dimension for the background and floating band, Carmen's Veranda Hourglass on the two gatefold end panels and the lovely Carmen's Veranda Frank as the centre piece.  This is how it looks, flat for sending.

And here he is, popping out to woo you with his handsomeness.

Black Cats Get a Bad Rap

Hello Nomad friends.  I am flying in with some more inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity 31 Days of Halloween challenge.  I've made a scene featuring Lost Coast Designs Witch 2 and Yoga Cat 10

I stamped the background with Lost Coast Designs Pieces of Calligraphy and Window and Large Circle Shadow Frame with yellow and orange distress ink for the 'moon'.  I gave the background a watercolour wash with blue distress inks.  I stamped Witch 2, Yoga Cat 10 and Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding sentiment on white card, fussy cut, added some colour to the witch and added them to the panel.  Yoga cat lost of legs was intentional LOL.

Rat Puppeteer

Hello Nomad friends.  My first creation for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  The team are posting every day this month and so far it's looking spooktacular.  October is also breast cancer month so I've gone pink with my make.   I have upgraded Lost Coast Designs TaDa Mouse to rat status and he's running through the pink ethereal forest brandishing clown hand puppets!!  Coulrophobes beware.........

I stamped a panel of white card with Lost Coast Designs Trees Background using Cactus pink ink and gave it a pink watercolour wash.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs TaDa Mouse on white card, added some promarker colour and fussy cut.  I cut straight through his hands to extend his arms a bit and added the two shrink plastic puppets and a few die cut bats.

I stamped Carmen's Veranda Kukla and Ollie on white shrink plastic to give the cute little handpuppets.  I added some red promarker colours, fussy cut them and shrank them.  Here you can see the size difference between the unshrunk and the shrunken versions.

Black Cats

Hello Nomad friends.  It's Day 19 of the 31 Days of Halloween at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and I'm keeping it simply spooky with Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding sentiment and Lost Coast Designs Cheshire Cat.  Cheshire Cat is also available now in a cute, tummy tickling ATC size.

Well, when you are this adorable what more do you need.  Except maybe diamond studded teeth!  I stamped Cheshire Cat and Witches Go Riding sentiment on white card using Hero Arts black ink.  I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, edged it with black ink, added another white layer and mounted on a black card base.  He's so happy to be out of his basket!!

Frank and Mummy Play Tic Tac Toe

Hello Nomad friends.  I love games, and Halloween, and Lost Coast Design stamps!  So I put em all together today for day 17 of the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  I've made a game!!!!!  And learnt that canary yellow is maybe not good staging for photographs.  Ah well....... here's my Mummy and Frank themed tic tac toe

Now I could repeat it all here but there's a step by step over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity so if you want to know it all hop over and check it out.

I started with an MDF tic tac toe kit and used Lost Coast Designs Frank and Mummy on white shrink plastic for the little shrunken dudes.  I also stamped masses of different stamps from Lost Coast Designs directly onto the base board using midnight blue archival ink and masks.  Any gaps I filled in afterwards with sky blue archival ink and all the stamps from Pieces of Calligraphy and also stamped the X's and O's.  I added a few Flying Monkeys from Carmen's Veranda at the top and I used Lost Coast Designs Gargoyle, Witch Cat, Goth Shrine, MRaven1, MRaven2, Dancing Skeletons, Sugar Skull with Flower and White Nose Sugar Skull.  Then I glued the edge and divider pieces in place and glued the shrunken Mummy's and Franks in place.

This is my stamped base plate

This is what it looks like when all the edges and divider pieces are glued in place.

Frank Says Trick or Treat

Hello Nomad friends.  Today I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some sweet Halloween inspiration.  I'm sharing a treat holder I made using the awesome Frank by Carmen's Veranda for the 31 Days of Halloween event.

Just enough room for a fleet of raspberry Ferraris!!!  I used black card for my treat holder and stamped Frank twice so he's on both sides.
I prettied up the sides with Lost Coast Designs Yourba Adire background stamped on a couple of orange scraps and added some orange and brown wool handles.  Add your chosen candy and ready to go!

Shake Your Shrine

Hello Nomad friends.  It's Day 8 of the 31 Days of Halloween over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  I decided to make a shaker card!  It seemed a good idea at the time!!  I have a bit of a love hate relationship with shakers.  This one I love.  And no leaks!!!

I've used Lost Coast Designs Goth Shrine ATC size which fit ted perfectly with this Marianne Design ribbon weave die.  I stamped the Shrine with black ink, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  I used a circle die to cut out the middle bit.  Don't lose that!  I die cut the ribbon weave panel from black card, wove with orange polka dot organza (thanks CCC Carol), highlighted the pierced border with a white gel pen and added some orange enamel dots.   I cut a piece of black foam slightly smaller than the panel and die cut a hole in them both to line up with the hole in the shrine.  I glued the foam and the panel on my black base card and then glued the piece I cut out of the shrine in the middle of the hole.  I added my sparkly bits, glued on a piece of acetate and added the shrine on top.  Spooktacularly sparkly.  Say that three times fast bwahhahahaha.

I stamped Yourba Adire with aubergine archival ink and coloured the stripes alternately with orange and green distress markers.  I stamped Gargoyle with blue archival ink and watercoloured with grey distress inks and fussy cut him.  I stamped two lines of the Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding on scraps of orange card and added them to the card.

Flying Monkey Trouble

Hello Nomad friends.  I wasn't expecting to be posting again today but it seems the flying monkeys have escaped and run off with one of my designers.  I hear they dropped her in Finland and it's gonna be a few days before she will be able to get home.  So if you are in Finland keep your eyes open for the gals with the Lost Coast Designs stamps and say hi to them.

Don't you just love October!!  Pretty colours in the trees, bright moonlit nights, flying monkeys......

Oooh, monkey photo bomb!!!!!    Love Carmen's Veranda Monkey Face and there're all his Flying Monkey buddies in the background.  I used a foam circle and dandelion archival ink to stamp the moon and then watercoloured Monkey Face and the sky with distress inks.

Link up your Halloween inspired projects.  Anything related to the season, spooky, fruity, fun, scary or cute.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars$$$$.
