Magic Fox

Good Morning crafty friends.  The mornings are getting cooler, the leaves are falling and some of them are even going pretty colours.  I love the colours of Autumn so I made a tag using Colourcraft Brusho's and Aztec paints.

I used Scarlett and Orange Brushos and Pink, Gold and Charcoal Aztec paint.  The fox is from Dylusions Heads and Tails stamp set and I used Stamplorations Magical word die, cut down a little bit, and Gummianpan's Old Tag die.

Love the shimmer on those Aztec Metallic Lustre paints!!  What does the fox say???

Hop over to the Colourcraft blog for more details and step by step photos.

Christmas Cheer

Hello crafty friends.  I was lucky enough to win the sweet Reverse Confetti Christmas Cheer stamp and die set from Di at the Snippet Playground and I decided it was time to play with it!!

This is a small card, 10x10cm, but I have fitted a lot of product on there!!  First I decided to make a scene for the cute little elf.  I started with a blue base card and stamped the little star cluster from the Christmas Cheer set with blue ink many times.  Then I took Tim Holtz Snowman Scene die set and cut the mountains and trees from scraps.  I inked the mountains with Watering Can archival. Then I used Stamplorations Stitched Spring Landscape die and cut the white card.  I only wanted the house so I cut off the trees that were on the same die.  I coloured the cabin with Promarkers and gel pens.  Nearly there!!  I stamped and cut the gnome and present sack and coloured with Promarkers and gel pens.  Then I stamped the sentiment, all from the Christmas Cheer set.   Merry merry everyone!!

Delicate Flower

Hello Nomad friends.  Pink is not a go to colour for me but I think I quite like this combo of pink and pink on pink.

I wanted a one layer card so I started by cutting my pink card base with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die.  Then I stamped Gummiapan's Grid with Picked Raspberry DOx.  I tried to leave some areas of the stamp un-inked to make it more arty LOL.  I used Clearly Besotted Brushed Butterfly stamps.  This is a layering stamp.  I've never used one before, and it isn't perfect, but it is pretty and fun.  I stamped the butterfly with Picked Raspberry DOx and distress and then finished by stamping the detail in black. I stamped the sentiment from the butterfly set with distress and also the flower, whiich is another Gummiapan stamp.

It's a Girl

Hello.  Welcome.  My niece went on holiday to Greece and came back with a baby!!!  Despite being very early everyone seems to be doing very well and are now home.  I wish them all the best.  Maybe I should have used more pink!!   Missed a trick there LOL.

I folded a patterned paper card base, cut it with the largest Tim Holtz Stacked Labels die and edged with Salty Ocean distress oxide.  I stamped Brutus Monroe Bunny Kisses and coloured with Promarkers.  So cute!!

School's Out For Summer

Hello Nomad friends.  I recently got this very cool Gone Fishin' stamp from Emerald Creek and decided to join their current Dare - Be True to your School.  This guy is obviously at Fishing School LOL.  Or maybe he's finished for the summer.  Or maybe he's taking a day away.  The scenarios are endless.........

I found this project life 4 x 6 grid paper journal card which had paperclips all around the edge.  Both school related items!!   Then I stamped the Gone Fishin' dude with black archival ink.

Using the black archival I stamped Carmen's Veranda Live In The Moment sentiment and then grunged up the edge of the journal card.  I decided to stick with the black and white for that masculine graphic effect.

Moo-ry Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  It's only 3 months til Christmas!!!  I am glad I have been playing along with some all-year Christmas challenges so my Christmas card pile is looking fairly respectable.  Always room for a few more though, especially quick makes.  I used Rubber Dance's Christmas Cow stamp set for this card.  Everything you need is one cute little package!!!

Scary Eyes

Hello.  Welcome.  Do you ever get a new stamp and you stamp it for the first time and go Wow!!!  Ok, maybe quite often LOL.  I just got this fab stamp from Carmen's Veranda called Boris Karloff, cos it is LOL.  I thought he would be great for the spooky season, and oh look, he is!!  Those are scary eyes bwahahaahahahaa.

I was putting this together yesterday, but despite kinda knowing how I wanted it to go, it just never quite got there.  Then this morning, Mr Mojo and I walked into the craft room, took another look at Boris, and Mr Mojo says 'he needs a wobble'.  !!!!!!   Well, of course he does!!!

I stamped Boris on a panel of white card using black archival ink.

I used a black Promarker to draw two lines from his ears to the edge of the card and filled those areas using Bright Green Promarker.  Then I used Mowed Lawn distress and Stamplorations Swirly Blooms stencil to add some pattern.  The panels at the top gave me some challenges.  After messing up some more stencilling, and disliking them black and white, and then just black, I cut them away!

So this morning I took a panel of black card, embossed it with Stamplorations Double Stitch Rectangle die and used a white gel pen in the groove to give me a frame.  Then I mounted it on a larger black card base and added the Boris with the green wings panel using an Action Wobble.

Poor man's video of Boris in action!!!

This is going straight into my Halloween decorations!!  Love it.  Very spooky with the eyes there Boris.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Hello Monday Morning

Hello.  Welcome.  This card had the same genesis as one I shared the other day.  This card base actually came first but someone managed to put a gluey finger on the edge of it and attempts to remove it did more harm than good!  So I put it to one side for 'later'.  Then I looked at it today and decided later had arrived!   I stamped Gummiapan Happy Birthday in blue ink and Paperbabes Geisha stamp on white paper in blue ink, fussy cut her and another blue Asian style card is born.

May need to make a set.  I really like the colours and that pretty Poppystamp die cut border.

Bling My Scarf

Hello.  Welcome.  Just wanted to sneek in another Scandi themed Christmas card with this adorable bear from The Greeting Farm's Let It Snow stamp set.

Keeping it red and white with bling supplied by my favourite iridecent glitter glue and a red foiled base card.  Used another Sizzix embossing folder for the white panel, sans reindeer this time.  I also used Stamplorations medium crazy double stitch rectangle  die on the panel and a piece of recycled satin xmas ribbon.  I stamped the bear on a scrap coloured, fussy cut and blinged his scarf.  God Jul, as they say around here.

Asian Blue

Hello.  Welcome.  Just wanted to share this blue die cut card with a bit of an oriental theme.

Dark blue base card.  I cut the medium blue panel edges with one of the dies from Poppystamps Pierced Border set.  The birds are also Poppystamps dies, Birds In Flight, and the Asian Scene is by Amy Design.

Many Sheep

Hello Nomad Friends!!   I can Baaaaaaaarely contain myself!!  There are some new stamps in the Lost Coast Designs shop.  I got my hands on Many Sheep and made a funny card.  Not so difficult when you are starting with a multitude of funny to start with!!!
I paired it with Carmen's Veranda Dare to Be Different sentiment and, even in black and white, I am sure they will brighten your day.

I did some fussy cutting, so the sheeps are looking suitable sheepishly over the top of the sentiment, and also standing sheepishly in front of it.

Hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity to check out all the hillarious makes from the team, and also link up your stamped funny for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars!!

WoW Dragonfly

Hello.  Welcome.  CASology have Dragonfly as this weeks prompt and this idea seemed the obvious one to go for.

I cut Stamplorations Dragonfly Cover Plate die twice from white card, trimmed off the bits I didn't want and layered the die cuts into the corner of my white card base.  I cut Winnie and Walters thanks die from white card and added it.

Over the Fence

Hello Nomad friends.  Just a quick little card using MFT New Best Friend stamp set.

I stamped the little girl and her cat, coloured with Promarkers, and fussy cut.  I die cut the woodgrain paper for the fence look and added the little girl and cat.  Love the look on that cat's face. To finish I stamped the birthday sentiment.

Nuts??

Hello.  Welcome.  I've been dabbling with the Colourcraft Aztec Metallic Lustre paints again.  Gold and copper are just perfect autumn colours and along with a stamp, some dies and an embossing folder I made this cute tag.

I used Gold and Copper Aztec paints, Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags and Accents dies, Sizzix Leaf embossing folder and the squirrel from Heartfelt Creations Furry-Tailed Frolics stamp set.

Hygge

Hello Nomad friends.  I am in my craft room keeping cosy on this particularly wet and windy Sunday.  Yesterday I was looking through my patterned paper and my eye was caught by a piece of Teresa Collins xmas paper.  It put me in mind of the Scandinavian Holiday challenge at Christmas Kickstart so I dropped the tea cups and grabbed a reindeer instead.

The patterned paper has cream, red and newsprint snowflakes on it and also some tiny red seasonal words.  I cut a piece with Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle die and then embossed with Sizzix folder.   I die cut Sizzix Reindeer 2 from grey woodgrain paper and embossed it with it's matching folder.  Then I smeared the deer diecut with Carmation red archival ink.  Mounted everything on a red card base and declared it done!!

Stop The Bus

Hello.  Welcome.  Do you ever see a challenge post and Mr Mojo goes 'those colours, that die, that stamp and we got it chickie!'  This happened this morning with the new Time Out challenge after I spotted the picture of the poodle with a bow on the shelf at the back!!

What no poodle!!  Nope, just black and white repeating patterns and a girl with a big polka dot bow.  I've used Poppystamps Pickering Snowflake Background die with white card and mounted on a black card base,  I stamped Carabelle Studios Kiss (thanks Dot) on white card and partially fussy cut.  I added it to the panel and stamped a small curved Gratulerer (congratulations) from Kort og Godt, and doesn't it just fit perfectly there!!

Here's a close up of the Timeout moodboard that inspired me.
