Halloween Darling

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with another Halloween inspired make for the 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  Today I have made a slimline card using Carmen's Veranda sentiment and Staircase with Lost Coast Designs Dark Girl Dolly, Fourth Dimension and Bat Boy

I stamped part of Lost Coast Designs Fourth Dimension on the bottom of the card in black ink and added some pink distress colour.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Staircase with grey ink and gave it a old paper distress ink colour and fussy cut.  Dark Girl Dolly was stamped on white card, coloured with promarkers and fussy cut.  The bats were left over from my day 11 make.  For the sentiment I used Carmen's Veranda Hot and Sexy sentiment, which is usually birthday orientated.  I stamped the top part of the sentiment, added the words 'for Halloween' and then stamped the bottom part of the sentiment.  I arranged all the elements on the card base and done!!

Hop over and join the fun.  Link up your Halloween inspired projects, anything related to the season, spooky, fruity, fun, scary or cute.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted or fed to the giant pumpkin!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

Square Bats That Look Round

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today sharing some inspiration for the 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  The team are posting awesome Halloween related makes every day this month and we want to invite you to join us, so do hop over and check out the fun.

Today I made a forest scene using Lost Coast Designs Dracula, Tall Trees Background and Bat Boy

I made the background using the second alcohol ink background I made the other day.  I had already made one and was just stamping off the inks still on the felt pad, so this one is more subtle.  I used Midnight archival ink and stamped the Tall Trees and used Sunflower archival in a circle of felt for the moon.  Then I stamped Dracula and Bat Boy on white card and coloured with distress markers.  I fussy cut dracula and the heads of the bat boys and added them to the card.

Little Witch, Do Not Sleep, The Moon Peeks in Your Window and You Must Fly

Hello Nomad friends.  Ever been in a baby witch's bedroom.  This is what I imagine it would look like

I embossed a black panel with Memory Box Grand Galaxy embossing folder and smeared it with green neon ink.  Should have tapped!!  Looks like the stars are trying to run away a bit.  I cut Memory Box Precious Mobile from purple card, added some sharpie colours and a few of bats cut with Poppystamps Batty Triptych die.  Sleep safe little witch.

Party at the Spooky House

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy 1st of October.  I do enjoy October.  It's such a spooktacular month.  Kicking off with a die cut extravaganza.  The witches house is hopping.

Used a gel print background and some scraps to make the grass and driveway.  I used sizzix gothic gate, haunted house and witching dies.

Going Batty

Hello Nomad friends.  Isn't it great when guests descend and a fun time is had by all.  Even got a game of scrabble in, although scrabble in Norwegian is still a bit of a reach for me.  I still have trouble with those weird letter combos.   Will just have to play more often bwahahaahahahah.  Anyway, the guests have staggered off into the windy night and I am going for a little midnight crafting.  What better at midnight than bats!!!

I've used Poppystamps Batty Triptych die and a white textured base card which I smeared with black ink.  I added a purple layer embossed with a swirly folder and smeared with black ink.  I found a couple of scraps of card painted with Aztec purple pearlescent paint and cut them into squares big enough for the batty squares, which I cut from black scraps.  I layered the batty positive and negative cuts on the painty squares and then arranged them on my embossed panel.

Hope you are having a great weekend.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Shake Your Shrine

Hello Nomad friends.  It's Day 8 of the 31 Days of Halloween over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  I decided to make a shaker card!  It seemed a good idea at the time!!  I have a bit of a love hate relationship with shakers.  This one I love.  And no leaks!!!

I've used Lost Coast Designs Goth Shrine ATC size which fit ted perfectly with this Marianne Design ribbon weave die.  I stamped the Shrine with black ink, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  I used a circle die to cut out the middle bit.  Don't lose that!  I die cut the ribbon weave panel from black card, wove with orange polka dot organza (thanks CCC Carol), highlighted the pierced border with a white gel pen and added some orange enamel dots.   I cut a piece of black foam slightly smaller than the panel and die cut a hole in them both to line up with the hole in the shrine.  I glued the foam and the panel on my black base card and then glued the piece I cut out of the shrine in the middle of the hole.  I added my sparkly bits, glued on a piece of acetate and added the shrine on top.  Spooktacularly sparkly.  Say that three times fast bwahhahahaha.

This Old House Is Falling Down

Hello Nomad friends.  My first Halloween card of the year.  I've used Taylored Expressions stamps and dies and did a bit of partial die cutting.  I thought I was going up a dead end but it found it's wings in the end.  Bwahahhaahahahhaahaaaaa.

I started with a mottled blue card base, positioned a TE stacklets tag die in the center and partially cut both side of the tag.  I scored from the uncut lines to the edge of the card on both sides.  A couple more score lines and I had a flat w sort of shape.  I partially cut TE 13 Dead End Drive die so I had the house and fussy cut from the bottom of the house to put it on a fat hill.  I used some tiny yellow scraps left over from yesterday's duck cutting for the moon and window lights.  I also found a scrap of blue glitter card close to hand and used the 13DED die to cut the roadway, stretching it slightly so it ran off the bottom of the tag panel in an ascetically pleasing manner.  A couple of checked small panel scraps and then I hunted for white scraps just big enough for the small scallop die from TE Color Block Cutting Plate set.  6 of those thank you, stamped with small stamps from TE Moca Tabitha.

Folds flat for mailing LOL

Cat Treat Box

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm a little slow getting my boo on this month.  But I'm kicking off with a cute little cats and bats treat not tricks box.

I used sizzix Wrap Favour Box dies to cut the box from two shades of brown card.   The cat on the top is from sizzix Hip Haunts die set and the cats and bats I used on the four sides of the box are also sizzix dies, all cut from scraps.

I gave the cat tag googly eyes.  What's more fun than googly eyes??  Different sized googly eyes bwaahahhaaahaaaa.  I used some beige twine with gold thread and split the twine and gold thread after I tied it at the top of the box.

Hello Nomad friends.  Halloween.  Weird and wonderful.  Here's some artist trading cards using Gummiapan's Lennart die.....

I used leaf embossed handmade paper for the bases.  I cut Gummiapan's Linked Ciircles die from neon green paper and added the positives and negatives to the ATC bases.  I cut Lennart from black and gold card and spliced him together.  A few stamped bats and some black grungy edging and bootastic!!

Bats, Cats and Splatts

Hello Nomad friends.  There's a fun challenge in a brand new ATC group by Gummiapan and they want us to show them our cellars, so I put together a creepy mouldy background and added some cellar denizens on some Artist Trading Coins.

I started by cutting some ATCoins from pale blue card using a 2.5" diameter circle die.  Then I randomly stamped them with Gummiapan Distressed Grid and Splat stamps using Memento London Fog ink.

I decided my cellar needed more mould so I used the Splat stamp again with Bluebird and Prickley Pear archival inks.  I grunged the edges with Cracked Sapphire and Stormy Sky distress ink.

To finish I stamped Gummiapan's Tiny Bats and the Silhouette Cat, the bats with black archival, the cats are a combo of black and blue.  I liked that the ink pad gave some texture on the solid cat stamp so I decided to use it as a fun feature.

31 Days of Halloween Day 31 - Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Nomad friends.  The last day of October so grab your tricks and your treats and lets party until the cat comes home.

I stamped Curious Cat with black archival and masked.  Then I used various distress ink colours and brushes to make a simple night sky background.  I stamped one of the large Night and Day moon stamps and added some gel pen colour.  I stamped the Trick or Treat sentiment and filled in the letters with a white gel pen.  A little colour on the cat and a few sequin bats and done!

31 Days of Halloween Day 30 - Into the Between

Hello spooktastic friends.  Looks like it's gonna be a full moon Halloween.  Bootastic!!!!

I made three artist trading coins (2.5" diameter) using stamps from Lost Coast Designs.  I stamped the sunflower using Dandelion archival and then stamped with brown archival and one of the Pieces of Calligraphy stamps.  I stamped Happy Cat in three different archival inks on white card, fussy cut them and added them to the coins.  I edged them with archival ink and added a few die cut bats.

31 Days of Halloween Day 29 - Smart Bats

Hello bootastic friends.  It's fun walking under lamp posts on these dark evening and watching the bat acrobatics.  I wonder if it is only because they concentrate their evening flights under the lights where the night flyers congregate that they are so visible at this time.  Maybe that is why they are associated with autumn.  I am quite certain they have been diligently working all summer.

I folded a DL card base from Craft Creations red plaid card which felt very autumnal.  I used Memory Box Underwater Scene die to cut the pierced circle frame and added a solid circle of the same yellow card.  Then I cut Memory Box Tree of Wonder from black card.  Three tiny bat sequins and done!
