Snowbunnies

Hello.  Welcome.  In Christmas mode again.  Playing with this fun snowman stamp from Blank Page Muse.  The winner for me on this one was the bunnies.  You know me, can't pass up a cute bunny, and I admit to having quite a snowman collection as well, so win win!!

I stamped and fussy cut BPM Winter Snow Friends Bunnies and Snowman and coloured with Promarkers.  I used a white hammered card base, drew a simple pencil line and then did a watercolour wash of Chipped Sapphire distress ink above it.  I stamped the steampunk snowflake cluster with Stormy Sky distress ink and the sentiment with black archival.  Both of these are from BPM Penguins on Ice set.  A little bit of sparkle on the snowman and done.

Pick a Day

Hello.  Welcome.  I was sure yesterday was tomorrow, but now I've realised it's just today, so I'm winning aren't I???
Aren't I?????
Ah well, any day is a good day for Christmas!!

This card was inspired by the new Christmas Kickstart challenge which is to be inspired by their blog header.   Well, it is inspiring, and a little bit zany.  I went with the colours.  The patterned paper is from a Sizzix paper block and the parcel is a CratePaper chippy.  I just added a little glitter.

Keep the Drinks Coming

Hello Nomad friends.  We had rain and thunder and lightning but it is still hot.  The cat doesn't know what to do with herself!  She even put her legs on backwards this morning!!

What we need on a hot summer day is a pretty drink with a strawberry on it.

I stamped a panel of white card with Gummiapan Grid stamp and Sky Blue archival ink.  Then I stamped the Gummiapan cocktail glass with black archival and coloured with Promarkers.  I cut the grid panel with Stamplorations medium double stitch die and mounted on a pale blue base card.

Penguin Polka

Hello.  Welcome.  Was tidying up my desk and stumbled across some cute little pre-printed tags.  I thought the music one would be perfect for a backdrop to a couple of penguins.

I stamped the two penguins from Poppystamps Love Note set on white card, coloured and fussy cut them.  These cuties come with ice skates, but I cut those off and arranged them so they look like they are sprightly.  No idea what the tune is but it looks quite intense!!  I stamped the sentiment from Poppystamps Christmas Friends on a piece of ripped vellum and added that to the top of the tag.

A Hot Hello

Hello.  Welcome.  Hot here!  How about you??  We are having some hot summer days and there is an explosion of butterflies!!  Never seen so many butterflies.  Lots of plums on the ground after last weeks rain and winds and it seems the butterflies think they are delicious!  Especially the really smushy ones!!!  They swarm up from the ground and from the trees when you walk past.  It's wild!!  I have new appreciation for people who take lovely butterfly photo's cos I am not having much luck capturing them.

So we will have to just settle for a pretty tree card in hot colours.  I used Memory Box Tree of Wonder and Gentle Stitched Landscapes dies and Stamplorations double stitch rectangle die with red, yellow and orange card.  The hello was cut using Poppystamps Hello Background die.

Thanks for dropping by.  Stay cool.  Hugz

Tea Cup Pocket

Hello.  Welcome.  I made a cute pocket card using this lovely tea cup and saucer die from Marianne Designs.

I cut the frame and tea cup from silver mirror card.  Then I used two Marianne Design patterned papers for the mat and inside the frame.  The flower was cut from silver mirror card and blue patterned paper and layered.  I added a silver sticker in the flower center and the sentiment is a silver sticker.

I only glued the cup and saucer where it touched the frame so I could add a teabag.
Choco tea of course!!

Scraps

Hello.  Welcome.  Scrap mountain is an ever expanding thing so it's nice to make a project totally from the scraps bin.

I made a tag using Poppystamps large Sugarplum Fairy die and a Sizzix TH Paris themed embossing folder.

I rattled through the scraps box and found this leftover heart stamped sheet.  I remember I stamped Rubber Dance heart stamp using grey ink and then watercoloured with pink.  It has a nice shimmer so I am sure Windsor and Newton Iridescent Watercolour Medium was involved. It's quite lightweight card so I dug out a scrap of card with dried glue on it and stuck it to the back.  Then I cut it into a tag shape.

I also found a long thin scrap of gold card which I cut the Sugarplum Fairy from.  She comes with wings, but I haven't used them this time.  I embossed the tag and the fairy with the TH Texture Fades Eiffel Tower embossing folder.
Ballet, hearts and Paris!  A perfect mix.

No Dachshund, Just Standing Around

Hello.  Welcome.  The lovely Dotty Jo has a very punny Christmas challenge with Dachshund Through the Snow!!  Very good Jo.   So here's a little Christmas cheer featuring a Hund.  He's the one with the antlers.

Finally!!  I've used these stickers from Craft Creations that I have had a long time.

I stuck the boy with dog sticker on a scrap of grey woodgrain paper and coloured with Promarkers.  Then I fussy cut them.

I folded a card base from patterned paper and added some Versamark and WOW White Puff Powder for them to stand on.  I added the fussy cut boy and dog and then cut the sentiment from a scrap of dark blue glitter paper using a Stamplorations die.  A bit of glitter glue on the boys fluffy bits and done

Hedgehog Pie

Hello.  Welcome.  I had an idea involving hedgehogs.  Maybe I should call it cake rather than pie.  Pie has that baked in feel!!   But this is more your Mississippi Mud type of pie.  Much more sloppy.

I spent way too long looking for stamps or dies to make my 'cake'.  In the end I drew it with Promarkers.  See, that's why I stamp!!!  Anyway.....  I added some sprinkles glitter glue to the frosting cos a good dose of glitter glue makes it all look better!!  I stamped the Gummianpan happy birthday background with Bluebird archival.  The PaperBabes Hedgehogs were stamped with brown and black archival on brown woodgrain paper and fussy cut.  The candles, which actually inspired this whole thing, were die cut and coloured with Promarkers.   I'd stamped the happy birthday background a bit squwiffy so when I cut the panel with the Stamplorations stitch die I straightened up the writing, which made the cake look even more wobbly!   But some days girls just gotta have fun!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope your cake is tasty.  Hugz

It Moose Be Dawn

Hello Nomad friends.  15th of the month and a new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  The theme is Wood.  Link up your stamped makes on wood substrates, featuring things made of wood, trees, add some wood embellishments, just don't forget real stamping must be the focus of your project for a chance to win the coveted Lost Coast Design dollars!!!   I've paired Lost Coast Designs Trees Background with Carri's Menagerie large Moose to make this fun scene.

This moose just cracks me up!!  He looks so anxious.  Maybe he afraid of the spooky woods.  Maybe it's been a bad night.  But don't worry Moosey, dawn is breaking!!

I made my sunrise by roughly finger painting with Mustard, Persimmon and Festive Berries distress ink onto some grey wood grain card.  Then I stamped the Trees Background using Watering Can distress ink to give a paler shade of black.  I stamped the large Moose with black archival, used a white gel pen on his white bits, edged the panel and smudged a bit more black under his feet, then added a red mat and a black card base.  Actually quite in love with this.  Could be a great hello card, or sorry, or sympathy, or thinking of you.  He's definitely thinking hard about something.  Maybe a good masculine make too, for those woodsmen among us.

Fairy Good

Hello Nomad Fans.  Gosh, where did that week go??  It's been a while since I have been absent for so long.  Glad to be back and creating again.  I decided to use this lovely die and made an anyday card.

I cut the Celtic Dreams Fleur die from dark grey Bazzill Dots paper and mounted it on a circle of patterned paper and added a bit of glitter to her wings.  I used a hammered card base and rubbed a green ink pad over it to highlight the texture.  Then cos I had the circle thing going on I decided to round the corner with a pair of fancy scissors.

Catz Rool

Hello Crafty friends.  The sun is shining and it's a lovely day to be out in the garden.  But first.........  The cat says Catz Rool.  I think the cat needs to go back to school!!!  I made a stenciled canvas using Colourcraft Acrylic and Aztec Lustre paints.  Love the black Eco acrylic.  Beautiful black and dries to a lovely matt finish which perfectly complimented the antique gold Aztec paint I used.  If you haven't tried them I can recommend them.  Very reasonable price and made in the UK.  'Non-toxic, wheat and gluten free. VOC, oil and solvent free.'  Anyway, here's my canvas.

I love the That's Crafty stencil effect which makes me think animal print.  The cat is Oliver from Repeat Impressions and I used green Aztec paint to really make his eyes glow!!  I used gold Aztec paint on a scrap of card and die cut with Sizzix Alpha dies to get the letters.  Hop over to the Colourcraft blog from all the details.  Also, in case you haven't seen Colourcraft now have a fb Fan Group Create With Colourcraft.  You can share all your makes using Colourcraft Brusho's, Aztec paints, Acrylic paints, dyes, mediums etc etc.  The team will be sharing projects and tips and we want to see what you are doing too.  Hop over and join the fun.

Infinitely Weird

Hello Nomad friends.  I am slowly moving into August.  The warm weather continues and my brain cell is struggling to cope.  Today it went all weird and created Reinduck!!  The theme at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is Anything Goes with real stamping as the focus of your Anything.  Here's mine.

Ahhhhh, well, yes indeed.  Stay Weird good people, Stay Weird!!  I used Carmen's Veranda Duck, Reindeer Doll and Stay Weird sentiment.  Lost Coast Designs Fourth Dimension stamp and Sizzix Splat die.  A perfectly weird pond if ever I saw one.

Hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for all the details and the linky for the linking of your Anythings.  Don't forget to stamp!!  Hugz
