Hello Nomad friends.
I have a fun little artist trading card over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today for the Winged Things challenge.

I stamped Harvest Angel on white card with brown archival and coloured with distress markers and Promarkers.  Her basket is full of eggs.  I am grateful for the hens in my garden and the eggs I harvest everyday.

It Should've Been Grey

Hello Nomad friends.  I hope you are weathering these strange times.  Who'd have thought.  I am glad I have my crafting and my garden.  And you.  It's nice to know that normality is an option somewhere.  I got a card yesterday from my friend Cat for the March Card Chain Challenge card exchange.  The March exchange is in full swing and the April sign ups are ongoing, started before it all went pear shaped, and we are hoping it will all go to plan, but who can tell.   Anyway, Cat included some Crazy cats and dogs she stamped for me so I just had to include one on this card.  Thanks Cat.

I made this as a birthday card for my brother who loves dogs.  I stamped the sentiment from Rubber Dance Funny Birthday set and drew a box around it.  I masked it, inked a stencil with festive berries distress ink and stamped it on the card.  I coloured the dog and fussy cut him.  I added a wash of festive berries distress ink to the bottom of the card.

Thanks for dropping by.  Stay safe and keep well.  Hugz

Long Island Iced Tea

Hello Nomad friends.  Let's do tea!!   Ahoy, ship mates, land ho!!  Not sure this works but it was an idea.  My friends got married in Hawaii so I think this will be a suitable xmas card for them.  It's all Jo's fault cos over at the Christmas Kickstart challenge it all about Christmas Cheer, in particular alcoholic cheer......

So, my idea was Long Island Iced Tea.  There's a long island, courtesy of Gina K Island stamps.  And there's the crazy ocean going penguin filled tea cup!!!  I stamped The Cats Pyjamas Ship Happens tea cup stamp, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  I added glitter to the sail and spoon and also to the inside of the cup.  It is Iced Tea after all!!!  The sentiment is from the Cats Pajamas Polar Holiday set.   I used Stamplorations Snowy Stitched hill die and edged it with blue ink to look wave-ish and also inked the bottom of the card with the same blue ink to see like sea.

Birthday Breakfast

Hello Nomad friends.  April is the month for birthdays in my family and I still have a few cards to make.  I've used Ocean Heart Hobby's 003 beer drinking moose and sentiment from the same set for this fun card.

I started with a rust Bazzill dots base card and then cut some scraps of gold card using one of the dies from the Creative Circle and Waves set.  I stamped the moose and the sentiment on some empty weetabix box cardboard.  It is a really good quality card to stamp on and a favourite of mine.  I used Potting Soil archival and coloured the moose with Promarkers and gel pens.  I fussy cut the moose and sentiment and added them to the card.  The Norwegian sentment translates as Smile, it's your day today.  Cheers!!

Hello Nomad friends.  I love dahlias.  I love CAS.  Here's a card with both.

I started with a grey pearlised card base.  I cut a piece of raspberry card using Creative Plus wave die.  I stamped Gummiapan large dahlia stamp using Red Carnation archival ink, coloured with red Promarker and fussy cut.  I stamped Stamplorations Happy Birthday sentiment using Watering Can archival ink.

Everything Goes With Everything

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers who are celebrating today.  I spoke to my mum and dad on the phone.  We are socially distanced most of the year, but it's always lovely to have a chat.

I am feeling the need to use colours.  I have never been a student of colour theory but something tells me all these colours shouldn't look so good together.  But Mother Nature manages to scatter them around the place with random abundance and it always seem to work for her.

I used a gold card base (it's a current personal trend) a blackberry Bazzill layer cut with Gunniapan's Sq. Postage die and a circle die and backed with hot pink cut using the same dies.   I was feeling the need for spring flowers, which actually are in abundance in the garden at the moment, and used the balloon and flowersun cloud from Rubber Dance In The Air stamp set.  The flowery hill is from their Whimsical Summer set.  I stamped the Norwegian birthday greeting using a stamp from Ocean Heart Hobby 002 set.

Bunnies Like Coffee

Hello Nomad friends.  I hope you are all keeping well, keeping your distance, getting some fresh air etc. etc. etc.  I haven't been crafting much the last few days cos we have had sunshine so I have grabbed the chance to be out in the garden.  I have a few projects on the go and I decided to get this one finished.  Inspired by a few challenges, the current situation, suggestions to take walks away from people, get fresh air, and enjoy the little things that bring pleasure and hope.  Here's a bunny, drinking coffee, in the woods.  Like they do, when no one is there to see them.......

I started with a gold card base and die cut Impression Obsessions Owl Frame from some black and white flock paper.  This paper actually has a black rose pattern.  I sent a piece to Darnell a few years ago and she cut birch trees from it and it looked so cool that I thought I must try that.  So I have.  And look, it looks so cool.  As the name suggests this die cut comes with an owl and a little birdhouse which  have removed.

I cut Impression Obsessions Bunny die from scraps of blue card, a tiny bit of pink, and stamped the coffee cup from IO Smell the Coffee stamp set, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  The bunny comes with a carrot to cut, but I thought this little cup would fit perfectly, and it does.   The cardsticker from Papirdesigns translates as the small things make life great.  I hope you can take time and enjoy the small things today.

Here's a happy snowman to brighten your day.

I used a gold base card and cut Sizzix Twisted Twigs from Raspberry card.  I stamped the adorable Kort og Godt Snowman, coloured with Promarkers and gold glitter and fussy cut.  I stamped Unity sentiments on more raspberry card and added them to the card.  Come on!!  Let's get slushed!!!!!

Hope Flies on the Wings of a Mermaid

Hello Nomad friends.  How's it going????   Have they told you to stay home???   Think of all that extra crafting time!!  I am putting it to good use.  Never bored when I have stamps in my hand.  There is a new challenge over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and it's Winged Things.  I bet you have lots of rubber and clear stamps of things with wings so get them out and join the fun.  I used Lost Coast Designs Wing Mermaid emerging from a green sea of Bubble Background.   In these challenging times Art does give my soul wings to fly...........

I was originally going to have the Mermaid totally on the Bubble Background, but after I stamped, coloured and fussy cut her she wasn't 'popping' enough.  So I moved things around and now she is emerging triumphantly from her Prickly Pear and Library Green archival ink Bubble Bath.  Say that three times fast!!  Bawahahahahaaa.  Did you wash your wings today????   Starting to think the current crisis situation is going to be represented very strangely in my art.........

One Day It Will Be A Movie

Hello.  Welcome.  Gosh, what interesting times we are living in.  I hope you have plenty of craft supplies to see you through the chaos.  We had a little sunshine today so I was pottering around in the garden a bit.  Then a little trip to the craft room to stamp some winter flowers.

I used Crafters Companion BeBunny Poinsettia stamp, masked and stamped Stamplorations Poinsettia Row.  I coloured with Promarkers.  I stamped the round sentiment from the bunny set on black card and embossed with gold powder.  I cut a couple of the poinsettia points so I could tuck it behind them and mounted on a red card base.

How Merry Is Your Moose?

Hello Welcome.  I have been working on this one for a few days cos it just would not come together.  Then this morning Mr Mojo says, tweek that, add this, perfect!!!!   The challenge was set by Jo at Christmas Kickstart and the theme was Christmas Cheer aka Alcohol.  You had me stumped for a bit Jo, but we got there in the end!!!!

I stamped the cocktail glass from Gummiapan and coloured it to resemble a Snowball.  It should be a bit more cloudy, but we are going to go with it.  The Moose and Merry Christmoose sentiment from Taylored Expressions Look Who's Talking set fitted perfectly!!!!  Then, just to clarify and bring it all together, I added this perfect little rider.  So come on!  Let's make Snowballs!!!!!

Advocat, Sparkling Lemonade, Crushed Ice, Lime and a Cherry!
I used distress markers to colour and a little neon green gel pen on the lime slice and glitter glue to help indicate crushed ice.  The glitter isn't showing so much, but it looks pretty sparkly in the real.

Thanks for visiting.   Hic!!  Hugz

Hello Bird Dog

Hello Nomad Friends.  Weather wise the day started surprisingly well, and has ended predictably wet!!!  Changeable is what they call it.  I got a flower bed in the garden tidied this morning and then adjorned to the craft room for some stamp/cut therapy.

I used the Santa from the Paper Smooches Santa Paws set the other day, but there are other stamps in this set where xmas is optional.  I decided to stamp this cute long dog and use the Fused Frame die for a CAS card.  I stamped the dog and then the bird, using Bluebird archival ink on a piece of card that matched my card base, fussy cut round the dog's nose, and then did a tricky cut with the Fused Frame die.  Then I cut the frame again from the darker blue card and added them to the card base in an ascetically pleasing manner.  I added a bit of ground using Weathered Wood distress marker.  The hello is a Stamplorations Skinny Sentiment die, cut from the same card as the base and frame.

Hockey Pro

Hello.  Welcome.  A little sporting dude from Panduro's Boys stamp set.

I stamped the boy on a piece of white card and masked.  I ripped a piece of paper and blended Mowed Lawn distress ink for the grass.  I masked it, then masked off a strip and blended Pine Needle distress ink.  I coloured the little dude and stamped the good luck.  I cut the panel with Sizzix Postage Rectange die and added it to a green base card.  Good luck little dude.

Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful.

Hello.  Welcome.  Happy International Women's Day.  Celebrating all thing woman.  Thought I'd make a card with a Lost Coast Designs stamp of Frida Kahlo.  A strong and inspirational woman.

I used some concentric circle patterned paper mounted on a black card base.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Frida Woodcut on white card with Carnation archival.  I cut around Frida, there's more background on the stamped image, and added her to the corner of the card.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Broken, Look Beautiful sentiment using black archival.  I find this one particularly uplifting and quite applicable to Frida and my sister.

"She made Broken look beautiful and strong look invincible.......
She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like wings'

How Now Black and White Cow

Hello Nomad friends.  Made a black and white happy birthday card with this really cool cow from Ocean Heart Hobby.

I stamped Ocean Heart Hobby 002 Cow on white card and cut it with Gummiapan's Circle die.  Then I cut the same die from black card and added it and the cow to a white card base.  I stamped the #Gratulerermeddagen from the Cow set on white card, added some black and white layers and stuck it on the card.

Santa's Pillow

Hello.  Again!!   Well Mr Mojo sure has got himself fired up today.  He decided box making was fun, and the cold wind gets you thinking of winter, so sticking with the christmas theme we made a cute little pillow box with santa tag.

Still in The Works Christmas papers.  These are a lovely weight for card bases and boxes.

I've used a 6x6" piece for this box so 4 out of one sheet!!  Now that's a dealy!!   This one has these fun dotty trees on it.

The snowflake is a Sizzix die cut from glitter paper and that fun santa is from Paper Smooches Santa Paws set.  I punched a hole in his head (!!!!!!) an added a bit of gold twine.

Thanks for dropping by.  We'll be back soon cos we are in da groove.  Hugz
