Presently Santa

Hello Nomad friends.  It's Christmas time!!!   OK, take a breath!  I am trying for at least two xmas cards a month and here's my first March offering.  

I made a round card with lots of Do-craft cardboard sticker presents and a MFP stamped, embossed, coloured and fussy cut santa.  I cut the background layers of Nille patterned paper with Kort og Godt wavy circle dies.

and then turned it into an easel card.

Pushing Back The Blue

Hello Nomad friends.  Nature seems to think spring is here.  Bit chilly tonight though, and all my crocus disappeared into the deer!!!   Seems she doesn't like snowdrops though, so they are looking magnificent!!  Anyway, here's some encouragement using those crazy bunnies from sizzix.

I handcut the egg aperture from prima patterned paper and added another piece behind.  I cut sizzix bunny hop hares from various patterned scraps.  The ground is sizzix scribbles and the letters from the wood slices set.  The words of encouragement are from a patterned sheet.

Gnomey Dilemma

Hello Nomad friends.  It was a bit overcast today but quite warm and I spent some time in the garden planting some veg seed in pots.  Starting with good intentions LOL.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some inspiration for the Make It Funny Challenge.  Do hop over and check out all the funny makes from the team.   Today I'm keeping it simple...

I stamped Flowers Gnome on a die cut panel and coloured with distress markers and gel pens.  Then I stamped the sentiment, mounted on a yellow base card and done!

Going Green

Hello Nomad friends.  Top of the morning to you.  Happy St Patricks Day.  May all your leprechauns be lucky.  In celebration of my irish friends, of which I have one, I rolled out this fine fellow from Pink and Main.  He's my paddy's day go to......

I went with yellow base card and panel, embossing the panel with Pink and Main Garden Gate embossing folder and smearing with twisted citron distress ink.  I stamped Pink and Main Lucky Charm on white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  The sentiment is from the P&M Good Vibes set and I used a spellbinders die for the fancy panel.  

Enjoy your day.  We will be eating traditional St Patricks Day fare, lasagne.

A Meaningful Lie Detector

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some seriously funny inspiration for the Make It Funny Challenge.  

I used Lost Coast Designs Leaves Background with prickly pear distress ink.  The jury is out on whether the stamp or the ink pad is slightly contaminated with lingering autumn shades LOL.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs Face With Feathers and the Carmen's Veranda sentiment with black archival ink.  I tried colouring directly onto the panel with my gel pens, but it wasn't working, so I stamped the face on white card, coloured, fussy cut the bits and glued them in place.

The Notorious Hamster

Hello Nomad friends.  Are you feeling the green??  Spring is my favourite time for greens, with all the shades appearing as flora awakens.  And then there's St Patrick’s Day.  I think this mouse is practising....

I've used a myriad of green patterned papers and House Mouse Cheers stamp coloured with distress markers.  The wine sentiment is by Funky Fossil and the cute little curls are cut with Spellbinders dies, one of which got hijacked by gremlins literally under my nose!!!   I do hope it reappears soon.   The gremlins have been very troublesome recently.  I think it's something to do with lunar eclipses and galloping retrogrades.
