Embrace Your Inner Witch

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm in a bit or a time warp today so a good time to polish your broomstick and check your twigs.  Here's my offering for Day 25 of the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity 31 Days of Halloween extravaganza.  I hope you have had time to check out all the amazing makes from the team and also link up something for a chance to win Lost Coast $$$$$'s.

I made a distress ink blended background and stamped Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background with black archival ink.  I stamped Witch 2 on a scrap of white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut her.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda When Witches Go Riding sentiment on another scrap of white card, grunged it up a bit and set it on an offset snippet of black.

Have You Hugged Your Mummy Today

Hello Nomad friends.  Isn't the whole time zone whatnot a wonderful thing.  Because of meridians of longitude I can post here and on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and here it's today, but there it's yesterday!!   Gotta love it!!    Anyway, here's a little tag for Day 24 of the 31 Days of Hallloweeen celebration featuring Lost Coast Designs Door and Mummy.

 

I used a fun cross stitch tag die from Daisy Mae, stamped the Door and coloured with distress markers.  I stamped Mummy on white card, added some touched of colour, fussy cut and sat him down outside the door.  Adorbs!!!!

Autumn Wedding

Hello Nomad friends.  I was asked for an autumn wedding card and here's what I came up with.

I used a Unity stamp coloured with distress markers.  I added more yellow ink to the background printed card.  I used some lovely chunky brown lace around the edges and a bit of gold glitter paper for added bling.

Flying By

Hello Nomad friends.  It already Day 19 of our 31 Days of the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Halloween extravaganza.  I hope you are enjoying all the spooktacular makes from the team and find time to get you boo on.  Today Lost Coast Designs Gnome Witch on Broom is flying in with some moon and flying monkey support.

Isn't she fun!!  I simplified the sketch I used yesterday with purple designer card and stamped Carmen's Veranda Flying Monkey Background on the smaller paler strip.  I coloured the Moon and Witch using distress markers.

It's Your Day

Hello Nomad friends.   I have been meaning to join the De Egel sketch and use gnomes challenge and finally today is the day!!!   For gnomes I always reach for Lost Coast Designs stamps, cos they have so many designs and da gnomes are so cute!!!!!   Today it's one of my favourites Looking Up.

 Isn't he adorable!!  I used a base card then a panel of patterned card.  I added a snippet of pearlescent embossed card and the kraft circle I embossed with a sizzix folder used to be part of a wine box.  I stamped the gnome on a scrap of white card, coloured with distress markers and added him to the card.  The silver doily cut behind the kraft circle is a marianne designs die.  I used snippets and spellbinders dies for the triangles and flowers and the sentiment is papirdesigns die and more snippets and says It's Your Day.

Gothic Window

Hello Nomad friends.  Making a start on a few October Christmas cards.  Well, 'be prepared' is a good motto.  The Christmas Kickstart Challenge has a Goth theme this month.  What fun!!  I haven't gone all dark and gloomy, but hope my gothic window and goth style text fits the bill.

The window is a Lost Coast Designs stamp, stamped and coloured with distress markers.  Then I gave the background a watercolour wash with Pumice distress ink and stamped the tiny brickwork details randomly, to make it look like a church wall??  Vaguely maybe??  I recently acquired this goth text merry christmas second hand.  I don't know who makes it, but Scrapmagasinet have ones in a similar style.  Anyway, it's big and beautiful.  I cut it from pink holographic card and twice from black and layered them.  

For those of you going 'that's not pink'.  I decided pink wasn't very goth so used an dark purple promarker to colour the holographic card.   It is still very blingy in the real but a nice shade of purple now.  The alcohol marker takes quite a time to dry on the glossy card, but was worth the wait.  Also check before going ahead that the alcohol marker is not going to destroy your mirror finish.  This holographic card has a plastic cover that is OK with excess alcohol, but some mirror finishes don't like it at all, so a spot test is worth doing.

Hello Sugar

Hello Nomad friends.  It's Day 14 of the 31 Days of Halloween extravaganza over at The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  Today I've made a simple slimline card using Lost Coast Designs Three Sugar Skulls

I used a white card base and a black panel that I cut with Lawn Fawn double stitch circle die.  I stamped the skulls on white card, fussy cut and added them to the card.
