One Man and His Truck

Hello Nomad friends.  The new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is For the Men.  Did I hear you groan???!!!!  Where's your spirit of adventure??  Your get up and go??  I know, it got up and went bwahahahahaaa.  But do not despair!   The team and I are going to inspire your socks off and masculine will be our new favourite topic, at least for this month LOL.

I started by digging out some game stamps, Carmen's Veranda Dice Background  and Lost Coast Designs Domino Border.  I stamped the dice background with midnight blue archival on pale blue card.  Then I stamped the domino border a few times on white card, fussy cut and added it as a frame around my background.  I stamped and Carmen's Veranda Old Truck with black archival ink on some UHK mottled blue patterned card and fussy cut.  Then I cut out the windows with a craft knife and backed them with a piece of the same UHK card.  WHY???!!   Why did I do that??  Answers on a postcard to me..........   Of course, it looks so much better because I did use a piece of the patterned card that was 2 tones lighter bwahaahhaaaaaaaa.

Anyway, hop over and check out all the wonderful man makes.  The team has so many amazing ideas, and we even give a real red rubber prize when we get more than 20 entries in the linky.   New ideas will be added all month so grab you coffee and box of after eights and join us.

Howdy Friend

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the 2nd of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  Make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card, everyone is a winner!!  The participants of the Card Chain Challenge have now exchanged OVER 5000 CARDS!!  How amazing is that??

This month there were 26 participants and my card winged it's way to Brenda in the UK.  Brenda is a longtime online friend, and I know she loves dogs, so I used this cute Pokey Dog stamp by Lost Coast Designs.  Pets was one of the options for July.

I used a Marianne Design die for the stitch detail round the aperture and the panel is a piece of filter paper splashed with Brusho powder and water.  I stamped Pokey Dog on the card to get the extra details I didn't want to cut out.  Then I stamped him on some slightly brown card, added some distress marker colour and fussy cut.  The gold letters are stickers.

If you would like to see all the amazing card that winged their way around the planet for March check out the REVEAL POST

Sleigh Full of Presents

Hello Nomad friends.   Christmas in July continuing at my little corner of blogland.   I was working on this one yesterday but the final details didn't seem to be working.  Then today I had a eureka moment involving some presents.

Seems I'm having a pink glittery period......  I've used Memory Box Timberland Collage cut into a pink glitter panel and backed with a piece of bubbly Kort og Godt patterned paper.  I cut the Memory Box Sleigh from red card and added a little red glitter detail to the seat panel.  The Merry Christmas is also Memory Box die, cut from the deep pink glitter card I used yesterday.  Then I cut some printed presents and arranged them in an ascetically pleasing manner.

Flutter By Flowers

Hello Nomad friends.   Despite promises of rain the dry warm spell is continuing.  Those that have not been watered are looking decidedly crispy.  I've made a summery card with lots of scraps and yellow!!

I cut some scraps of patterned paper circle using Poppystamps Simple Rings die, cut the circles in half and arranged them on the card base.  Poppystamps Intricate Butterflies were cut from some UHK patterned scraps.  Then I found some more yellow snippets for the Poppystamp Daisy Trio flowers.

Gimme The Box

Hello Nomad friends!   Today I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some inspiration for the Christmas in July challenge.  I was thinking about christmas boxes, which led me to cats, cos everyone knows cats love boxes.   So here's Lost Coast Designs Fat Cat in a box!!

I've made a bottle tag and I hand-drew the box and cut it out.  I thought it would be easy to build a little box and just flatten it, but then you get a 2D flat box don't you!!!   You can see why I use stamps LOL.  I die cut the bottle tag and smeared it with tumbled glass distress ink and stamped one of Lost Coast Designs Small Snowflakes randomly with dark blue ink.  I stamped Fat Cat and Santa Mona's hat, fussy cut them and added some distress marker colour.  I finished with some Misc. Words.

The linky is open all month for your stamped festive anythings.
We need at least 20 entries to award the prize so grab you stamps and tell your friends about our challenge.  The team is sharing inspiration all month so do visit us often.
