5K

Hello Nomad friends.  2nd of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  Make a card, send a card.  Everyone gets a card, everyone is a winner!!   And look at us!!!!  This month we hit 5K!!!!!   The participants of the Card Chain Challenge have now exchanged OVER 5000 CARDS!!  How amazing is that??

My card this month is meandering it's way towards Greta in Oregon.  I went heavy into the scraps and hit the options of Embossing and a Shaped Card.  Friendship is always implied.

I used Daisy Mae dies for my arch shaped base and mats.  Lots of little orange/yellow bits from the scraps box and the lady moon stamp is by Rubber Dance.  The word sticker is Funky Fossil.

I hope you have enjoyed my card.  If you would like to see all the amazing card that winged their way around the planet for March check out the REVEAL POST

A Snowball to Stand On

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the first of the month and I am hoping for crafty awesomeness this month.  Have been wilting a bit in the warmth of June, but should be getting acclimatised by now Shirley.  Also dreaming of ice.  Ice cubes.  Iced long drinks.  Snow.  Snow!!!!   Well, it is July so time for the traditional time to start thinking about the 'C' word in a more determined way.   The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is having a month of Christmas in July and we do hope you have the time to join us in our endeavours to reduce the stress in December.

I think this Overalls Santa from Carmen's Veranda is going to be a new favourite!!   Isn't he adorbs!!!  I combined him with Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Circles, large circle Shadow Frame and Party Words to make a kinda clean and simple card.  Perfect for the crazy season.

I hope you get time to join the fun with the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Christmas in July Challenge if you are stamping up a Christmas snow storm.

Mermaid to Scrap

Hello Nomad friends.  I put this little scrappy number together yesterday and thought I'd share the happy vibes with you.

Everything came off the desk scrappy boxes, except the card base, which was plain blue but I dabbed it with Salty Ocean distress ink to give it extra texture.  The words are from Crafty Individuals Seaside printed papers.  I added some die cut bits and left overs.  The stars again were plain, but I hit em with the distress ink pad for the texture touch.  The mermaid is a Lost Coast Designs stamp on a scrap of white and fussy cut.

 Happy summer vibes everyone.  HUGZ

Tulips and Daffodils

Hello Nomad friends!!  Gail here today with a floral delight for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity's Fruit, Flower and Foliage Challenge.  I've used Lost Coast Designs Daffodil Background, Tulip GnomeDaisy Border and Misc. Words rubber stamps.

I've made it happy birthday, cos you can never have too many of those, and did some tone on tone stamping with the Daffodil Background on the base panel.  The Happy Birthday and Daisy Border were stamped on a scrap of white card that was on the desk.  I stamped the gnome on another scrap, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut him.  Isn't he just the sweetest!!!

You have all month to share your stamped anythings featuring fruit, flowers or any sort of foliage.  Easy!!  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  Remember we need at least 20 entries to award the prize so tell you friends.

Tales From the Sofa

Hello Nomad friends.  2nd of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  It's the culmination of much work by many artists and it is truly a thing of beauty.  Anyone have any ideas about why the Card Chain Challenge 'sidebar' has relocated itself as a 'footer'.  Jo, Head of Technical Services has been trying to work it out, but no joy.  My idea of 'maybe it will fix itself??' has been of little use bwahaahahaaaa.  Anyway, enough IT nonsense, lets get to the important things.....

Update.... Ooooh, see I knew Jo was a technical genius.  Fixed.  Well done Jo.  Hugz

I got a beautiful card from Mia in Greece and my card is winging it's way to Joanne in the UK, via two holes in the ground, a slow boat to China and a whole flock of confused pigeons.  I used the options of Postal and Friendship.

This evolved far from my original idea, but I hope Joanne likes the final result.  This glorious lion from Funky Fossil was actually supposed to be on another project, but once he dropped on the desk onto of that retro scrap with a couple of arrows pointed at his head it all seemed serendipitous.  The arrows and postage stamps are from an ephemera pack and the heart and sentiment are Lost Coast Designs stamps.  I coloured the lion with distress markers.

Oh June, Here Already

Hello Nomad friends.  It seems the summer months have arrived!!!!   Starting to think I am time hopping!!!  Anyway, new month, new challenges!!   Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity we want to see your stamped anythings featuring FRUIT, FLOWERS AND FOLIAGE.  That should be easy, shouldn't it??   I am keeping it CAS today with Lost Coast Designs gorgeous Shrubbery stamp and a profound sentiment from Carmen's Veranda........

I used Hero Arts green ink for the Shrubbery.   This is a beautiful stamp and looks great in any colour.  I stamped the Carmen's Veranda Questionable Life Choice sentiment on a scrap of the same white card and edged with the green ink and done!!!   I did originally think this would make a great sympathy card, maybe it still is bwahhahaaaahahaaa.

I hope you get time to hop over and see all the lovely inspiration from the team and if you are stamping anything with fruit, flowers or foliage then link it up.   We offer a real rubber stamp prize, but we do need at least 20 entries to draw a winner.

Getting Hitched

Hello Nomad friends.  A quick post for a wedding card I wanted to share.   I bought a lovely die from Honey Bee stamps called Radiant Heart which cuts the heart aperture and the radiating lines.  It's so pretty!!  Then I just added a Kort og Godt die cut bridal couple.

I thought the yellow dotty paper gave nice contrast to the red background.
