Owl Be Thinking Of You

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some inspiration for the Birds challenge.  Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda have so many lovely bird themed stamps.  Today I am using Lost Coast Designs Tall Trees background and medium Owl stamps.

I stamped Tall Trees background with various colours of archival ink trying for an autumnal feel.  Then I turned it on it's side and watercoloured a moon.  I stamped the Owl in brown and then coloured some of the details with bright gel pens.  Finally I stamped the Thinking of You with brown ink.

The team will be posting more inspiration throughout the month so check back often and join the fun with your bird themed stamped anythings.

What Does The Fox Say

Hello Nomad friends.  The new scraps control system seems to be functioning brilliantly.  Just need to extend it a little bit to cover all colour options and work my way through a bit more of the desk.  Ho Ho Ho.

Playing with Gummiapan stamps and dies today to make some ATC's.  Raided the orange scraps for the foxes.

He's wickedly cute!!   He comes with an overalls die but today he is out in the forest au naturall.  Check out the sentiment!!    I dropped the Dear Santa bit but couldn't resist 'just leave the credit card under the tree'.......   Bwahahaahhahaahahahaaaaa.

Power of Six

Hello Nomad friends.  I have been trying to sort out my scraps.  Tiny die cuts make me reluctant to throw away tiny scraps, but there's a limit, isn't there??  Anyway, I stumbled across this piece of white glitter card that I had cut a memory box snowflake out of it previously.  There was just enough around the edge to almost cut a hexagon.  Jingle Belles have a lovely sketch, and this fitted perfectly.

I used a pearlescent grey card base and cut a little bit of a wonky border from red holographic card.  I backed the glitter card with a hexagon of the same red holographic card and cut a tiny star from another scrap of the glitter card for the center of the snowflake.  I used a different snowflake, a scrap of grey card and another scrap of the red holo. with a couple of circle dies to make the little round.  It is perfectly positioned to cover the fact that my hexagonal snowflake panel isn't perfect.  A couple more scraps to make the sentiment panel and done!!!

This Old House Is Falling Down

Hello Nomad friends.  My first Halloween card of the year.  I've used Taylored Expressions stamps and dies and did a bit of partial die cutting.  I thought I was going up a dead end but it found it's wings in the end.  Bwahahhaahahahhaahaaaaa.

I started with a mottled blue card base, positioned a TE stacklets tag die in the center and partially cut both side of the tag.  I scored from the uncut lines to the edge of the card on both sides.  A couple more score lines and I had a flat w sort of shape.  I partially cut TE 13 Dead End Drive die so I had the house and fussy cut from the bottom of the house to put it on a fat hill.  I used some tiny yellow scraps left over from yesterday's duck cutting for the moon and window lights.  I also found a scrap of blue glitter card close to hand and used the 13DED die to cut the roadway, stretching it slightly so it ran off the bottom of the tag panel in an ascetically pleasing manner.  A couple of checked small panel scraps and then I hunted for white scraps just big enough for the small scallop die from TE Color Block Cutting Plate set.  6 of those thank you, stamped with small stamps from TE Moca Tabitha.

Folds flat for mailing LOL

Midnight Cowboy

Hello Nomad friends.  I have some more inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Bling It Up Challenge.  Christmas is the season of bling so I rolled out Carmen's Veranda Snow Cowboy.

I used a piece of dark glitter paper for the background.  The Lost Coast Designs Moon and Carmen's Veranda Snow Cowboy were stamped and embossed on silver glitter card.  I used the same glitter card to emboss the sentiment and cut it with a stitched landscape die.  It's one of those non-shed plastic and if you overheat it can become less glittery.  I overheated around the sentiment for a faux panel.  After embossing the moon and cowboy I coloured with Promarkers.  I think it's best to use a dabbing technique on glitter to protect the nibs.  Then I fussy cut them and added them to my midnight scene.

You have until 23.59 PST on the 14th to link up your stamped projects with bling
for your chance to win Lost Coast Dollars.

Deer Tag Card

Hello Nomad friends.  Me again with another tag card, this one featuring this beautiful Gemini deer die cut.  I cut the deer in dark blue and layered it on some pale blue semi-translucent paper.  I cut in a tag shape and mounted on a white card base that I trimmed to match the card shape.

I used a preprinted foiled sentiment with a couple of tiny sparkly brads and cut a stitched fishtail banner which I folded over the top of the card and added a blue star brad.

Love this.  Pretty but the die makes it a quick make.
