Batty Boo - 31 Days of Halloween Day 20

Merry met midnight friends.

I used a piece of MME Something Wicked paper.  It is grungy cream with Something Wicked This Way Comes in a nice gothic black script all over and some black glitter stars and bats.  I folded it into a pillow box and inked all the edges with brown Archival ink.  I used a Sizzix die to cut some extra black glitter bats.  Then I made the tag!!  I used a scrap of brown card, cut with a small Taylored Expressions tag die and stenciled some bats using Tando Haunted House stencil and brown chalk ink.  I stamped Tim Holtz bat on the same brown card using the brown archival ink.  I added him to the tag.

I folded his wings over and when you open then up there's a little boo surprize!!  So cute.

Whoo Waits For Dinner - 31 Days Of Halloween Day 4

Merry met crafty friends.  Beware the eyes in the night.  Some are waiting to dine and some are destined to be dined upon.  Whoo Whoo.

I'm not sure this picture does the owl justice.  He is absolutely stunning in the real!!!

I cut a tag using large Sizzix Tag 2 from red card and embossed it with Sheena Douglas Tangled Vine embossing folder.  Then I used Black Soot distress ink to highlight the texture.  It was very nice, but a bit too dark for the owl so I spritzed with water and removed some  of the ink.

The owl is Tim Holtz Ornate Owl die.  I cut it once from a piece of scrap card and once from a scrap of stamped card I found in my scraps box.  Then I used Emerald Creek Deep Sea and Gold Sparkle embossing powders.  That gold is amazing!!!   It's like the real thing!!!!   I used some brown card and cut the tree, and paper pieced his feet, beak and facial details.  I finished with a couple of red rhinestones for his eyes.

I popped him up on some thick pop dot waste (we don't throw nuffink away here kids!!) and added some recycled sari?!! ribbon and an Emerald Creek very cool brad.

Thanks for dropping by.  Back soon for world card making day.  See you there!!!  Hugz

Christmas Cheer

Hello crafty friends.  I was lucky enough to win the sweet Reverse Confetti Christmas Cheer stamp and die set from Di at the Snippet Playground and I decided it was time to play with it!!

This is a small card, 10x10cm, but I have fitted a lot of product on there!!  First I decided to make a scene for the cute little elf.  I started with a blue base card and stamped the little star cluster from the Christmas Cheer set with blue ink many times.  Then I took Tim Holtz Snowman Scene die set and cut the mountains and trees from scraps.  I inked the mountains with Watering Can archival. Then I used Stamplorations Stitched Spring Landscape die and cut the white card.  I only wanted the house so I cut off the trees that were on the same die.  I coloured the cabin with Promarkers and gel pens.  Nearly there!!  I stamped and cut the gnome and present sack and coloured with Promarkers and gel pens.  Then I stamped the sentiment, all from the Christmas Cheer set.   Merry merry everyone!!

Deer Santa

Hello.  Welcome.  Finally got around to inking up Dylusions Heads and Tails deer stamp and made a christmas tag.

I started with a kraft tag and stamped the deer with black archival and masked.  Then I used Memory Box Modern Sprinkles stencil and Salty Ocean DOx above the deer and Picked Raspberry DOx at the bottom of the tag.  I cut a hat using Sizzix Crazy Things accessories dies from red and white card and added iridescent glitter glue.  I also added it to the pink area.  In the right light it looks like this.......

Bling!!!!!  I used some lovely cream lace for the tag tie and added a wooden button.

I stamped the Rubber Dance sentiment on a piece of patterned tape and embossed with black powder.  That was a fun way to add a sentiment.  I used some white gel pen and Promarkers to add a bit of detail to the deer.

And Suddenly The Shopkeeper Appeared

Hello.  Welcome.  I have been having trouble with party hats.  They just were not looking like hats.  And I was getting complaints about having to 'put a triangle on my head'.  But then she took over the whole wood and suddenly there were hats everywhere so I really don't understand what she was complaining about..........

I used a piece of patterned card from Craft Creations for my card base.  I coloured a Signatures die cut, Woodland Window, with distress inks and backed it with a green brusho background.  I wanted a bit more interest so I used Stamplorations Weathered Wood stencil and Espresso distress ink.  Hmmmmm.........

Oops, there she is.  Lost Coast's Whimsical Flora with a Tim Holtz party hat.  Had to add the label so she knew which one to put on her head and which ones to hang from the trees.  Parteee.  Everyone welcome.

Birthday Boos and a Discount for You

Hello.  Welcome.  As I hope you know, I am very fortunate to be on the Rubber Dance Stamps Scandinavian design team.  So for you, as a little reward for following my blog and being such wonderful supporters of my crafty endeavors, I have been given an exclusive code that you can use on any order this year.  You will get a whopping 15% off your order at Rubber Dance by using gail2015.  Easy peasy, go get you some bargain rubber.  I have a link to the shop in my sidebar and I've added the code underneath so it's easy for you to find.  Just don't forget to use the code and remember, Bibi offers very reasonable flat rate shipping worldwide.  Are you still here??   Oh yes, the boos.........

I saw this card over at DRS and today, whilst hunting for black card, I saw these holographic scratch sheets and remembered I have that embossing folder.  So I ran it through the bigshot and this is the result before I removed more of the black coating.  It looks pretty cool already.  Like Julie says the Sizzix folders do give a really deep emboss.  In fact, I don't use any tabs going through the bigshot and there's less chance of splitting your card.

Just wanted to share my base card cos you don't get to see much of it in the final picture.  I used an orange card and I stamped with the barbed wire stamp I made yesterday by cutting craft foam with Cheery Lynn's Barbed Wire die.  I've also smudged my edges and beyond with black archival.  Love this.

So, once I'd cleaned a bit more of the black off my embossed letters I added that panel to the base card.  I used Cheery Lynn's Barbed Wire die again to cut well, barbed wire!!  The skeleton is from TH Retro Halloween, stamped, embossed and fussy cut.  I meant to give him a humerous speech bubble but wasn't sure he had a funny bone in his body.   Bwahahahahahahaha.  Sorry about that.
