Little Boxes

Hello Nomad friends.  I am returned from my travels.  Busy, busy, busy now because the silly season is just around the corner.  Today I decorated some matchboxes to add to some candle gift packs I intend to make.   Always nice to have a little gift on hand.  I've used Lexi Design Loft Christmas papers and some flat bottle caps that say Merry Christmas in Norwegian.

I cut the papers to take best advantage of the pretty designs and wrapped them around three sides to resemble small books whilst leaving a striker side open.  A bit of twine and a copper handle to finish.

Quarter Of A Circle

Hello Nomad friends.  The Lift Challenge popped up in my blog feed today so I hopped over to see what they had dreamed up for the new challenge.  They always have interesting themes and this time they want to see a quarter circle card.  A cute idea, and I had a eureka moment because I have some round scrapbook papers I had kinda given up on.  So I grabbed a red and green one and went Christmas.

I folded the paper in half and cut it in half.  They are quite lightweight so I decided to draw around the edge on a card base and fussy cut the base to match the paper edge.  I pieced sizzix Retro Santa from scraps and added a flat beer bottle top which is printed with Merry Christmas (luckily it's much shorter in Norwegian LOL).  Adorbs!!!

Here's the Making Memories round sheet I started with.

Stag Tag Card

Hello Nomad friend.  I've made a couple of tag cards featuring deer for the 52 Weeks to Christmas challenge.  The first one I used Gummiapan large old tag die with some burnt orange pearlescent card and a scrap of snowflake paper.  The deer is cut from gold card using a sizzix die.

I cut the yellow card base to match the tag shape and added a bit of ribbon and a Merry Christmas flattened bottle cap.

Little Boxes

Hello Nomad friends.  I hope you are warm and cosy.  It's chilly here in Norwayland and we had another inch of snow last night.  We don't usually have much snow here, but it seems to be having a moment.  Me and the hens are hoping that the ground will resume it usual colour soon.  Plan A today is to finish up with christmas card writing so I can get them posted tomorrow.  But first a little self closing box.........

I really like this style of box.  No difficult lid to make and once you have the trick you can knock them out any size.  I used red bazzill for the box base and then some brown scraps that I stamped with baking themed stamps from Poppystamps Cupcake Party set.  I cut Poppystamps Heart Swoosh from a scrap of red and then Poppystamps little boy and girl gingerbread dies from some of the brown scrap leftovers.  A bit of red and gold twine and a Merry Christmas bottle cap and it's ready to be filled with fresh baked cookies.

Meercat in the Snow

Hello Nomad friends.  Winter is here, at least in our part of the world.  Very chilly and a little bit sparkly outside tonight.  I suppose it snows everywhere at some time, even hot places, so here's a meercat in the snow.

Hobby Art Meercat and Santa hat stamped on scraps and fussy cut.  I used white gel pen and sharpies to add some colour to the hat.  The background is Hunkydory patterned card and I used some twine and a Merry Christmas flattened crown cap for the sentiment embellishment.
