Last Of September

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh, so that was September.  I am looking forward to the most spooktacular month of the year, but first.......

Used a pretty poinsettia stained glass style die for this card and a god jul from papirdesigns.  That's Merry Christmas for my English speaking friends.

People Like This

Hello Nomad friends.

I cut a stencil using Gummiapan's Linked Circles die and used it with Salty Ocean oxide ink on the artist trading card bases.  Then I used various Gummiapan people stamps, stamped, fussy cut and added little pops of colour.  I fussy cut santa's body and added some tiny gold sticker leftovers.  Some glitter glue has been used in the making of this project.

Girl Talk

Hello Nomad friends.  Me again with another tag.  Still playing with my Gummiapan stamps and I am sure you ladies can associate with this sentiment.

Another 6 x 12cm tag, but I was inspired by another tag I saw to clip three corners round.  Cute shape.  I stamped the girl, masked her and the ground with a ripped piece of paper, stamped the trees and sentiment and blended distress inks in the background.  Then I removed the masks and coloured the girl with distress markers.

Virtual Scrap - Day 3

Hello Nomad friends.  The final few hours of the virtual scrap are upon me and I am really pleased with the projects I have made.  The challenges have been fun and inspiring and, despite hoping to join in with them all, I have not compromised quality for quantity.   But as I say, still a few hours to go so maybe........   I'm back to Christmas again.......

We made some of these cute little tea/giftcard holders yesterday as part of a quick challenge.  They are really quick and easy and fun.  I made two yesterday and thought I'd make another one today with a winter theme.  The paper is very old Imaginisce and the snowman is Marianne Designs.  He's just sitting in there.  You can pull him out and play with him, or write on him.  I thought he made a cute tag!

I didn't have any cocoa sachets, so for illustration purposes I added a tea bag.  You can add some more on the inside and I added a extra little decorative bar with printed circles from another piece of Imaginisce designer paper.  Think this will bring joy, and the one at the far end is a cocoa filled cup.

And last but by no means least, this cute Kort og Godt dog, this time the Christmas with antlers version.  Awesomely cute!!  I stamped the dog with black archival, masked and then stamped the snowflakes and sentiment with blue archival.  I added a little distress marker colour to the dog and done.  Next years Christmas card?????   Maybe.....

Virtual Scrap - Day 2 Continued

Hello Nomad friends.  I signed up for a virtual scrap and me and Mr Mojo are having a blast!!  I played with a few things this evening and hopefully they will become finished things tomorrow.  I did get this fun and cool coffee cup shaped card finished.

I've used very old Making Memories Poinsettia Flocked Mistletoe paper.  The flowers are furry!!!!   I used the dimensions given on the challenge post and cut a irregular quadrilateral card base, covered it with the poinsettia paper and then cut some white pieces for the 'lid'.  I added a piece of gold glitter paper and a piece of red to the middle of the card.  I used Kort og Godt stamps for the two sentiments.

Poinsettia

Hello Nomad friends.  It's been chilly here today, but clear and sunny.  Feels like winter is coming.  Better get the chrimbo cards sorted.  Here's a simple card using a beautiful Poinsettia die I won a while ago over at Di's Snippet's Playground.  Thanks Di.  Hugz

I paper pieced Creative Expressions Poinsettia Flower Square and added it to a white card base.  I stamped the sentiment from Kort of Godt, added a red mat and added it to the card.

Peace Love Coffee!!!!

Hello Nomad friends.  Too much fun stuff happening in blogland at the moment.  Luckily the rain gods are out playing so it's a good time to be in the craft room.  Here's a tag for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags and also for the 2020 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop that started yesterday, inspired by Jane's Bauble Tag.

I liked Jane's layout but decided to use coffee cups and kettle instead of baubles, and went with red green gold white.  I cut Stamplorations large Stitched Tag die from poinsettia green paper and also vellum so I could mute the background.  I cut Stamplorations Tag O'Coffee cups and kettle from poinsettia white paper and edged with red ink.  The sentiment is two Stamploration phrase dies cut from gold mirror card, adjusted with scissors and spliced together.  I used twine with sequins to 'suspend' the cups and kettle and gold/red bakers twine for the tie.

Thanks for dropping by.  Gotta tidy a bit on the desk before I continue, but hoping some UFO's will become FO's before the day is through.  Back soon.  Hugz

Candy Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the last of the month and my blog is super busy today.  Suddenly remembered I hadn't linked up to the Rudolf Days challenge so here's a sweet hot pink offering with a fun sentiment that I am sure we would all appreciate.

I embossed a hot pink card base with Do-Crafts Candy Cane embossing folder and highlighted the embossing with Picked Raspberry distress ink.

I stamped the girl and the Gummiapan sentiment on a piece of white card and die cut with a stitch rectangle die.  Then I had the idea to emboss a single line of the candy canes along the bottom.

The sentiment reads
'Dear Santa, just leave your credit card under the tree'

Let Talk About Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  Starting off my May xmas makes with a little gingerbread.  I don't know about you but for me Christmas is all about the three F's; family, friends and food!!!  Nothing beats the smell of xmas dinner cooking or the pre-Christmas baking.  Oooh, the smell of hot gingerbread makes me go weak at the knees.  So I made this card for someone special because, quite honestly, I exceeded my usual limits of pfaffing with this one and it took slightly longer than anticipated!!!!!  But worth it.  My vision was achieved........

I started by making the wreath.  I used this Sizzix Deer die and cut it four times and snipped off the bits I wanted.  I cut the poinsettia flowers from scraps of red card and added them to the foliage bits.

I found a green circle already cut in the scraps pile and added the wreath to it.  The ginger is a Papirdesign die cut from brown and white scraps.  I added red rhinestones to the center of each of the red flowers.  Then I used two Stamplorations dies to cut the sentiment from bits left over from the wreath cutting.

Gingerbread is definitely a joyful thing at christmas!

One Day It Will Be A Movie

Hello.  Welcome.  Gosh, what interesting times we are living in.  I hope you have plenty of craft supplies to see you through the chaos.  We had a little sunshine today so I was pottering around in the garden a bit.  Then a little trip to the craft room to stamp some winter flowers.

I used Crafters Companion BeBunny Poinsettia stamp, masked and stamped Stamplorations Poinsettia Row.  I coloured with Promarkers.  I stamped the round sentiment from the bunny set on black card and embossed with gold powder.  I cut a couple of the poinsettia points so I could tuck it behind them and mounted on a red card base.

All Right in the End

Hello Nomad Friends.  I have taken advantage of a balmy 10°C and a break in the rain to pop out in the garden and do a little this and that.  Today's this and that was cutting back some perennials, trying to convince Bo rabbit he wanted to go back in his hutch so Bob rabbit could get a run around, and putting some stuff on the compost bin.  I got a bit of fresh air and can feel good about doing a little bit outside.   And since Mr Mojo appears to be still suffering from a surfeit of Christmas Pudding then outside seemed a good place to be.  I am sure he will perk up for the New Year when the champagne starts flowing......

This is Crafters Companion Bebunny Poinsettia stamp, stamped on a white tag and coloured with Promarkers (red, green, yellow) and Distress markers (grey, pink).  I couldn't decide about grounding the bunny so I cut the tag to follow the shape of the stamp.    I die cut the word Peace using a Sizzix die and added a bronze snowflake charm from Korthobby.no and a bit of festive red/gold twine.

Thanks for dropping by.  If you find Mr Mojo do send him back to me won't you??!!!  Hugz

Fairy Christmas

Hello.  Welcome.  It's hot!  Damn hot!  30°C, that's 86°F, in the shade!!  I went to my craft room.  The only thing to be said for that was it wasn't in the sun.  But it was pretty hot there too!!  The UHU positively danced out of the tube......  And now I'm starting to have days ja view cos the other day I wrote about it being hot, frisky UHU and christmas cards.  And yeah, it's a christmas card again today.  I have been thinking about the Muse Christmas Visions challenge again and decided to get a bit more arty with it.

I will probably have to explain how I got to this one.......

When I looked at Chriss' muse card basically what I saw was a poinsettia between blue diagonal lines.

So that's what I did.  OK, my poinsettia has a whole sugarplum fairy attached to it, but basically it's a poinsettia between diagonal blue lines!  Poinsettias and sugarplum fairies are both seasonal items so I thought it would make a perfect alternative christmas card.

Since we were talking flowers I decided to die cut Poppystamps Large Sugarplum Fairy from Prima patterned paper.  The pattern was roses, but I figured that once cut that wouldn't be too obvious.  I cut the wings from the same patterned paper, backed them with vellum and added some sparkle with iridescent glitter glue.  Then I used Poppystamps Poinsettia Stem die, cut and embossed many times from brick red card and I layered the pieces onto her tutu.  I added a scrap of black paper as a belt and then found this cool flower shaped brad with a pink snowflake center.

I used Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle dies to cut the iridescent pale blue textured card panel and the vellum panel and mounted it all on a blue base card.  Now I need to find me a Fairy Christmas sentiment!  Anyone know of one??

Toasty Chestnuts

Hello.  Welcome.  They say today could be the warmest day in May since they started recording.  I don't think we are going to break records where we are, but it's toasty here!!  I had to re-ink my archival, and most of my glues were stubbonly not wanting to come out of their tubes/bottles, except for the UHU, which positively galloped out of the tube.  It's amazing how frisky solvent based products get when the craft room is too warm to be comfortable LOL.  So I decided to make a christmas card!! Well, that white hammered card always reminds me of snow........

I was inspired by Chriss' card over at Muse Christmas Visions, and it also reminded me of the YNS sketch.  I used Stamplorations Poinsettia Row, stamped, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  Then I used some chrismas ribbon (God Jul is Norwegian for Merry Christmas) and a Papirdesign die for the sentiment.  I cut the sentiment once from red card and twice from black, layered and added some red glitter glue.  I also added some gold glitter glue to the center of the flowers.
