31 Days of Halloween Day 23 - Skullduggery

Hello Bootastic buddies.   I remember taking part in a study at school where they made up some of that just add water potato mash and coloured it red, blue and green, in addition to the usual cream colour.  Then we all tried it and said which tasted best.  Obviously our eyes were involved in this decision as an effort to prove that if the food is the wrong colour kids won't eat it.  Cold mash potato isn't the most appetising no matter the colour!!!   I must admit that when you boil the peas and the red cabbage together and the peas end up a lovely shade of black there are quite a few suspicious adults as well.  Despite the fact that black peas must be nutritiously superior to green ones due to absorption of all those lovely anthocyanins.  So I'm making a few labels for the more dubious looking party foods.  Not sure what this one suits, but it was fun to make.

A very simple make using Sheena Douglass Skullduggery embossing folder, white ink and a MME Something Wicked cardstock sticker.

I embossed a stitch die cut panel of dark blue card with the skulls embossing folder and then smeared white ink over it to highlight the texture.  Then just add the sticker and mount on a black card base.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Wow, wow, wow! Great card, Gail, I thin it's my fav of your 31 days jaunt. Thanks for the science lesson too - are these flavonoids, or am I getting them confused? Jo x

Love that embossing folder. Your school experiment with instant mash sounds absolutely disgusting! xx
