31 Days of Halloween Day 30 - Into the Between

Hello spooktastic friends.  Looks like it's gonna be a full moon Halloween.  Bootastic!!!!

I made three artist trading coins (2.5" diameter) using stamps from Lost Coast Designs.  I stamped the sunflower using Dandelion archival and then stamped with brown archival and one of the Pieces of Calligraphy stamps.  I stamped Happy Cat in three different archival inks on white card, fussy cut them and added them to the coins.  I edged them with archival ink and added a few die cut bats.

31 Days of Halloween Day 29 - Smart Bats

Hello bootastic friends.  It's fun walking under lamp posts on these dark evening and watching the bat acrobatics.  I wonder if it is only because they concentrate their evening flights under the lights where the night flyers congregate that they are so visible at this time.  Maybe that is why they are associated with autumn.  I am quite certain they have been diligently working all summer.

I folded a DL card base from Craft Creations red plaid card which felt very autumnal.  I used Memory Box Underwater Scene die to cut the pierced circle frame and added a solid circle of the same yellow card.  Then I cut Memory Box Tree of Wonder from black card.  Three tiny bat sequins and done!

Hello spooktacular friends.  Got these really cool Humanoid stamps from Katzelkraft.  Love these weird guys.

Well, what more do you need than a card with a weirdo stamped on it??!!!!

Zoomed in for a close up.  Love that tie guy.
There's usually a large dot above his head but I masked it out and added a star, because I can.

Little Ginger

Hello Nomad friends.  The day started well.  Expectations and motivation was high.  Things went well, and that extra hour was just magic.  Time is a funny old thing.

I used Papirdesign Melisglasur double sided paper for this card.  Does it count as two designer papers when you use both sides of the sheet???  A layer on the card base, then a stitch die cut panel then the adorable Papirdesign Pepperkake (Gingerbread man) cut from the same designer paper.  There are two main dies in this set.  The largest one cuts a tag and then you have the smaller layer.  I didn't want a tag so I cut the largest die from brown card and snipped off the little hanger.  Then I added the smaller ginger, cut from the patterned paper, edged with Tea Dye distress and decorated with white smile and iced squiggles, a couple of black enamel dots for the eyes and three bronze half pearls.  The God Jul (Merry Christmas) is wood, also by Papirdesigns.   I thought it needed a little something so I used irridescent glitter glue on the outside brown frame.  Always good with a bit of Christmas bling.

31 Days of Halloween Day 24 - Ghost Dog

Hello spooky friends.  I'm more a hammer house of horror rather than nightmare on elm street sort of girl, but I was feeling the omen today.

This gorgeous photo real red rubber stamp is Milo and Raphael by Lost Coast Designs coloured with gel pens and distress markers.  I've placed them by a spooky Tall Trees forest, courtesy of third generation stamping with grey archival ink, and added that rather cool Carmen's Veranda sentiment.  Well, it's so useful at this time of the year!!!   Friends til we die and beyond...........  More details over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.

Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to join the fun at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where we have our 31 Days of Halloween and our Furry Friends Challenges running.  Your furry friends don't have to be spooky but please remember to use real rubber or clear stamps and the theme.  Hugz

Let's Squash It! Challenge Inspiration

Hello Nomad friends.  In case you missed it Jo and I started a new challenge blog this month.  It's called Let's Squash It! and it's all about using embossing folders.  The first challenge is in full swing and you have another week to grab your folders and join the fun.  The challenge theme is Geometric And Metallic.  You need to use a geometric pattern embossing folder and metal sheets or metallic card.  You need to use both parts of the challenge on your card to be eligible for the prize.  Yes, we are offering a prize to a randomly selected Squashette.  Hop over and join the fun.  Don't forget to check out the few simple rules, join our VIP friends or follow by email so you don't miss any of the squashy fun.

I used Sizzix Mermaid Dreams embossing folder with blue metal sheet and used a blue Stazon ink pad to highlight the texture.  The whale is from Rubber Dance Whale Wishes set, stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut.  I also used one of the sentiments from the same set and cut a little speech bubble for it.  Blubb blubb.

Hop over to the blog, check out all the fabulous fun makes from the team and in the linky gallery and join the fun.  See you there.......

31 Days of Halloween Day 23 - Skullduggery

Hello Bootastic buddies.   I remember taking part in a study at school where they made up some of that just add water potato mash and coloured it red, blue and green, in addition to the usual cream colour.  Then we all tried it and said which tasted best.  Obviously our eyes were involved in this decision as an effort to prove that if the food is the wrong colour kids won't eat it.  Cold mash potato isn't the most appetising no matter the colour!!!   I must admit that when you boil the peas and the red cabbage together and the peas end up a lovely shade of black there are quite a few suspicious adults as well.  Despite the fact that black peas must be nutritiously superior to green ones due to absorption of all those lovely anthocyanins.  So I'm making a few labels for the more dubious looking party foods.  Not sure what this one suits, but it was fun to make.

A very simple make using Sheena Douglass Skullduggery embossing folder, white ink and a MME Something Wicked cardstock sticker.

I embossed a stitch die cut panel of dark blue card with the skulls embossing folder and then smeared white ink over it to highlight the texture.  Then just add the sticker and mount on a black card base.

Hello Spooktacular friends.  Let's be friends forever....

I embossed the black card base with Sheena Douglas Twisted Vine embossing folder.  I cut Sizzix twisted twigs die from green card and blinged it with Winsor and Newton Iridescent Watercolour medium.  The ghouls are a combination of IO Ghosties and Sixxix Spooky dies.  The sentiment is from Carmen's Veranda, staped on grey woodgrain paper, distressed with a craft knife and edge with Promarkers.

31 Days of Halloween Day 20 - Many Shades of Pumpkin

Hello Nomad friends.  The best pumpkin parties require some pumpkins.  This year has been middling successful for squash.  The weather was variable and nothing really started growing before August, but as always we are grateful and thankful for the harvest we have gathered in.

This isn't the total haul, but there's the star of the show.  A not so giant Atlantic Giant, but 10kg is a nice size.  A couple of Blue Hubbards, a yellow Patty Pan and some always impressive Rampicante's.

31 Days of Halloween Day 18 - 2020 20 Limit

Hello Spooktacular friends.  It is my tradition to have a thanksgiving/harvest/pumpkin party the last Saturday in the month, which this year is the 31st.  Due to 'the situation' I am limited to 20 people this year, as opposed to inviting everyone.  So here's the invite.  Sorry, it's not for you.  Maybe next year.  HUGZ

I've cut the cards with a rectangle stitch die.  The invitation stamp is from Inspired By Stamping Halloween Labels set.   Frank is a Frantic Stampers die, cut and coloured with Promarkers.  Frank is pissed that it's not gonna be a mega party this year but he's looking forward to the Chicken Red Curry soup.

31 Days of Halloween Day 17 - Pussy and Pumpkin

Welcome moonlight walkers.  Here's a little black cat and pumpkin.

I've used a MME card to make the card base which I grunged up with Walnut Stain distress ink.  I stamped the round pumpkin from Inspired by Stamping Pumpkin Faces set onto the card and coloured with Promarkers.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding sentiment on light beige card and added a black layer before adding it to the card.  The cat is a MME chipboard element.

Pink and Glittery Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  I made a quick Christmas card using Rubber Dance Coming Home stamp set.  Love these winter themed houses.  You even get a church and a toy shop!!  I went all pink and blingy.

I stamped the church, masked and stamped the two houses.  I used a pink card panel and pink Cactus archival ink.  Then I coloured with distress markers and iridescent glitter glue.  It's blingy! I mounted the panel on a gold textured foil card base.  Hop over to the Rubber Dance blog for masses of amazing inspiration from the team and don't forget to share your makes featuring Rubber Dance stamps in our fan group.
