Hello Nomad friends. I spotted that Darnell has a Your Choice Twofer challenge this month. It's basically anything goes, but with all the other Twofer rules of course. So here's my two, both using a die from Creative Wavy Lines and Circles die set.
One be happy spring card and one puppy Christmas.
Both cards joining the fun at
Twofer Card Challenge 36 - Your Choice
My first card, which was actually my second card, is all about spring. Spring colours, spring flowers, even a bee. Can't wait for them to be springing about the place! Green Bazzill Dots card base, the same card cut with the Wavy Lines and Circle Die, but I used the back of the Bazzill as the front for the die cut. I edged the card base and the circles with green Promarker. The flower was a yellow painty scrap cut with a Stamplorations Trendy Spring Bloom Die and a little extra Promarker colour. The bee is Rubber Dance, stamped, coloured with Distress inks, fussy cut and a little iridescent glitter on the wings.

Stamplorations CAS Challenge
Actually planned this in my head last night whilst waiting for the Sandman to visit. Hi five for a good hit on scrap mountain!!! White card base and a panel of Weetabix box cut with Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle die. A white scrap cut with the Wavy Lines and Circle die and embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. I edged the circles with brown Promarker and the kraft panel with red Promarker. I used Marianne Designs Puppy dies and a Sizzix santa hat die to build my scrap puppy. The sentiment is a clear sticker. A little white gel pen and iridescent glitter on the pom-pom and hat fur and done!

Two lovely cards using that swirly die cut Gail! love your sweet pup on the second one - with his Santa hat on already for Christmas! Thanks for joining us at CAS Christmas!! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun die, Gail! I love how you've used both sides of the decorative paper to make a subtle design in the background that lets that beautiful bee stand out! The puppy on the second card is adorable and a perfect fit over the large circle! Thanks so much for sharing with us at The Twofer Challenge!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards, Gail. I love the different ways you’ve incorporated the lovely wavy lines die cuts. xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful Gail. So happy to see you at our Cards und More Challenge this time.
ReplyDeleteHugs xx
What a unique die! This is my first time seeing it, Gail, and I love your designs showing two ways it can be used. It looks cool as a background for your traveling bee (sort of like an air highway) and I love the detail of adding iridescence to the bee's wings! And how cute to use it to frame the new puppy someone got for Christmas, complete with Santa hat! Adorable! Thank you for playing in TCC #36! Great choice of prompt! Roll on spring! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLovely cards!
ReplyDeleteWow, two totally different and very creative ways to use that die. Love both cards. I often plan cards when I can't sleep. I sometimes dream card designs too. Jo x
