I was interested in a project I saw at PaperArtsy by Anneke de Clerck. She made a notebook using a background of patches of colour so I thought I'd give it a go.
I used fresco finish pansy, butternut, pea coat and rose and post it notes to make my patch background. Must admit at this point I was less than impressed with my efforts. Ah well, white may cure a thousand ills......
I added some white acrylic using a scraper and then used the edge to add some lines. A huge improvement one feels

This is lovely, Gail! I was the same as you, I didn't like mine until I added the chalk layer. For me that's the beauty of having the inspiration to follow because otherwise I would have lost faith. It's a great technique,

Haha! You make me laugh - "White will cure a thousand ills". It's a very pretty card and I think you're right that the white does bring out its best features.
