So Far Behind, Oh Deer, Oh Deer

Hello.  Welcome.  I am feeling very optimistic about 2015.  Hoping that it will be a good one.  I have been having a blast joining in with Claudine's Altered Playing Card Challenge but must admit I have slipped a bit.  I think I am 5 weeks behind!!  So I decided to sit down today and try and complete a couple of weeks.  Here's my first offering.  These are for week 14 and the theme was Christmas and Deer.  Claudine provided lovely inspiration with her two cards HERE.

For my first card I embossed a piece of white card using Cuttlebug Snowflakes EF and stuck it on the card.  I added some ripped blue paper with inked edges.  I cut Cheery Lynn Snowflake 2 from red glitter card and Die-Namites Floral Deer from black card.  The sentiment is part of a Crafty Individuals stamp.

For the second card I roughly painted the card with pale blue acrylic paint and stamped and embossed Hero Arts Stunning Snowflakes with silver embossing powder.  I cut Die-Namites Deer Birch Background in black and added a Lawn Fawn sentiment.

  8. Saw your card on the NBUS challenge. I love how you put together the different mediums - paint, embossing, diecuts - to create a work of art.
