Troll, Gardening and Art

Hello Nomad friends.  A lovely dry calm day today so I was out in the garden tidying a couple of beds and admiring my hens.  Troll was looking particularly dashing today.

I'm having fun with Hobbygarasjen at their digi-scrap weekend.  The Norwegian craft shops are being so nice, keeping us entertained with some awesome events.  I also have a plan to use scraps and little used stash this weekend so expect to see some oldies, but goodies LOL.  Here's a few things I made this evening.

Challenge 1 - Spring, mostly green, at least one leaf 1/2

Now this was an arty idea and happy accident.  I've made this with the It's a Girl Thing Turner Syndrome Awareness Challenge in mind.  I found this piece of diamond patterned paper with a ripped edge and thought I'd try stamping Aall & Create's Flower Kido partially on it and partially on a slightly textured green card.  Actually, quite cool, even though the texture gave me a patchy image.  No one is perfect, so actually, this is perfect LOL.  I added the two pieces to a green card base and added two pieces of different green twine top and bottom.  I stamped the flowers from the Flower Kido set on yellow card using green ink and fussy cut.  Lots of fussy cutting.  A couple of leaf sprig die cuts and a couple of Stamplortaion clear sticker sentiments and done.

Challenge 9 - At least 3 folds

I made this simple little triangular gift packing inspired by Rita at Papirdesign.  Her post includes the dimensions.   I used Papirdesign designer paper for the box, Papirdesigns scallop circle die PD 18414, and Papirdesign stamps from Revestreker and Nyt Livet.

Challenge 10 - Decorate a tag and use it in a project

I've combined this with Stamplorations Love Vibes challenge, inspired by Sue's first card.

I cut a tag using Stamplorations medium Luggage Tag die, stamped it with Stamplorations Vignette Live and Laugh and inked the edges.  I embossed with Do-Crafts Lovers Lane Hearts embossing folder and did some more inking.  Then I added a couple of heart glossy dome stickers.  ASA (ancient stash alert)  LOL.  I folded a card base from large dot patterned card and embossed the edge with the same folder and inked it up.  Added the tag and done!!

Don't forget!!  Tomorrow is the last day to join the Let Squash It! Challenge - Red/Pink with a loved themed Embossing folder.
