Blue Bubbles

Hello Nomad friends!!  Happy Sunday!!!!   Hope it's going well. Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity the current challenge is Winter Blues.  We want to see winter and/or blue featuring on your stamped projects.  I've used the beautiful Mistletoe Goth and many shades of blue with lots of sparkle, which makes it all feel festive.

I stamped Lost Coast Designs Bubbles Background on the card base and embossed with dark blue embossing powder.  I stamped Mistletoe Goth on pale grey card with Manganese archival ink, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  Then I went a little bit crazy with the glitter!!!!   Bling!!!!  The Peace Dictionary Words was stamped on vellum.  I ripped the edges then backed it with pale blue card and fussy cut the edges to match the vellum.

Hop over to the Portal and check out all the awesome inspiration from the team and link up your blue and/or Winter makes for a chance to win.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Lovely - very dramatic! How do you 'back' vellum without it looking all gluey and horrible? Jo x

Hi Jo. I used a solid glue stick. Make sure you cover the vellum totally and evenly and it usually looks OK. I use kitchen paper to smooth it down onto the card backing. Vellum doesn't like to get wet so work quickly otherwise it starts to curl and wrinkle. Enjoy. Hugz
