Happy New Dog

Hello Nomad Friends.  I've made a card today for a friend of mine.  When her old dog died she said she couldn't handle a puppy at her age so she wasn't going to get another dog.  I couldn't see that lasting and I was right.  She decided to adopt an older dog and happy together they are.  So to celebrate new beginnings and new friends I've made her a card.

I used dies to emboss the background then used Brusho wax resist sticks and Brusho's to colour it. The stamps and dies are all from Paper Smooches, Chubby Chums Dog, Lucky Dog sentiments and Paw Print dies.  For more details on how I made the background hop over to the Colourcraft blog.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

This is such a wonderful idea and bet she really appreciated it. We had to put our old cat down on New Years Day and said we wouldn't get another one for at least a year...two weeks later we have Remy the kitten and couldn't be happier. Love how you embossed the background and then coloured overtop, adds so much interest and the bright colour is a wonderful backdrop for the puppy. Always wonderful to see you at TIME OUT!
