Brusho Magic

Hello.  Welcome.  I keep saying I'm going to join the Paperartsy challenge but I'm obviously not listening cos it's been ages since I linked up.  This fortnight it's pigment powders.  For me that's brusho's.  If you have these and you haven't played with them then check out the Paperartsy blog for a ton of fun ideas.  I was inspired by the video on the challenge post to make a brusho background

Terrible photo.  Looks pretty cool in the real.  I used yellow, ultramarine and brown, sprinkled on some filter paper and spritzed.  I laid it on a rack to help it dry a bit faster and I got these cool lines.

Lots of the posts at Paperartsy have used embossing so I decided to get out Winter Wonderland plate 6, love this stamp, and just emboss it on my brusho background.  Then I cut around the image leaving a border.  I wet the border and scrunched it, then mounted the panel on a blue card base I had tinted with Stormy Sky distress ink.  Love how the colours glow.

Love this stamp, I haven't noticed it before in the large PA catalogue! The brushos background works well with this image.

This is such a cool creation! I admit that I'm not too familiar with pigment powders, so I admire your skills here! I really like how you included the bright colors, but the background is subtle enough to look absolutely stunning with the stamp you chose. In the wrong hands, the stylish girl on your stamp could've looked like she'd been hit with some sort of crazy confetti bomb, but the way you did it is really breathtaking. Way to nail it!
