Hello Nomad friends. It's time for a new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and we want to see GNOMES!!!!!
Call me biased but of all the gnomes I'm seeing in blogland I still think Lost Coast Designs' are the cutest. There have been three gnome releases at Lost Coast Designs for a total of 23 gnome and 4 gnome home stamps!!! Hop over and check em out. There is 25% off your Lost Coast Designs/Carmen's Veranda stamp order with the code QUARANTINE. But first!! Redneck Gnome is on his travels......
Hmmm, Mayan Steles. Must be wandering in South America!! I used Lost Coast Designs Redneck Gnome, Mayan Stele, Freedom Dictionary Words and Travel Quotes
I started with a grungy stone look designer card base and stamped the Freedom Dictionary Word with dandelion archival and Redneck Gnome with black archival ink.
I masked the Gnome and using a piece of ripped card as a mask I blended in some hills. Needs practice!!! I stamped the Freedom Dictionary Word twice more behind the gnome and then added the Mayan Steles either side using Memento London Fog ink.
I used that ripped card mask to add some ink to the edge of the steles for added dimension and stamped the quote from Travel Quotes in the grass.
'A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles'
Join the gnome fun for a chance to win and don't forget to check the blog for lots of gnome awesomeness. Please remember we are a real stamp challenge. Your gnome must be a real rubber or clear stamp. Please state the company and if you use Lost Coast Designs gnomes you will get an extra entry in the random draw.
Thanks for dropping by. Hugz

ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Gail, and I love your hills. I am absolutely rubbish at tearing card and inking backgrounds, so I too need lots more practice! Take care and have a great weekend, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteSuper cute gnome and I love the background you created, Gail - thanks for sharing the how-to!!
