Lost Coast Designs Fridafest Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello.  Welcome to Day 2 of Lost Coast Designs Fridafest Blog Hop.

Have you seen the amazing Frida Kahlo Stamps in the Lost Coast Designs Shop??  Linda has now added 4 new designs so we decided to showcase these beauties with two days of blog hopping.
Hop around and leave some love here and on all the team's blogs for a chance to win $10 to spend at Lost Coast Designs and/or Carmen's Veranda.
The more comments you leave the better chance you have to win a prize!

For another chance to win you can share up your Frida Kahlo inspired projects. If you need some inspiration check out the wiki link above, or the teams makes of course!!
Your project can include a Frida Kahlo image, or be inspired by anything associated with her, but please explain your inspiration if it isn't obvious and don't forget that we need to see the use of real rubber or clear stamps.  Please don't forget to tell us the maker of your stamps and those using Lost Coast Designs and/or Carmen's Veranda stamps will get an extra chance at the random draw.

I used the new Woodcut Frida and Leaves Background stamps to make my card.

I stamped the Leaves Background on kraft card with Potting Soil archival ink.  I stamped Woodcut Frida on white card with Red Geranium archival ink.

I coloured parts of the Leaves Background with Leaf Green Brusho powder diluted in water and then added some sprinkles of the same Brusho powder.

I diluted some Brown Brusho powder in water and used it to add a colour wash in the background of the Frida inage.  I cut a wide border around the image and also a piece of craft foam the same shape.

I added the craft foam behind the image so it pops it up from the card base.

Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to leave a comment here and on the other blogs for your chance to win Lost Coast Design dollars.  Happy hopping!!  Hugz

Here's the hop list

The Woodcut stamp is striking and more so as you stamped with red. Your beautiful leafy background is the perfect setting for Frida. Lovely card, Gail! x
