Simple Wish For Christmas

Hello.  Welcome.  Love this weeks MFT Sketch and AAA want Made in Minutes, not my strongest technique LOL, but let's give it a go.

Voila!!  I cut a strip of white card using a wiggly edge die that I think goes with a Hero Arts stamp set.  I embossed it with Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder.  Cut two snowflakes from silver glitter card using Sizzix die.  I stamped the little girl holding her kitten from MFT New Best Friend, fussy cut, coloured with watercolour pencils and stamped the sentiment.

Spring Harmony

Hello.  Welcome.  It's a grey and wet day here in Norway, and I was just about to retreat to my crafty space when a challenge popped up in my fb feed.  I'm a member of a Norwegian group called ArJo's Tag and ATC Kos and Jorunn has done a step by step tag and wants to see our take.  There is also a monthly challenge, so I decided to see if I could cover them both.   Here's my tag.

The first thing that grabbed me about this step by step challenge was Jorunn wanted us to use scraps!!  I'm in!!!  I have just cleared most of the pile off my desk and am left with a load of really small bits of this that and the other.  I searched through the pile, bearing in mind that part of the other challenge is at least three pastel colours

The 'L-shape' frame element in the left and bottom was black and white.  I smooched some Worn Lipstick distress on it.  Got a bit of MME and some Crafty Individuals in there too.  I knocked it all back with some white acrylic paint and then stamped the small text from Lost Coast Designs Harmony stamp all around, all around, using Potting Soil Archival.

I used Stamplorations Some Birds stencil and texture paste and added some colour with buff paint.  The coffee pot and cup are wooden pieces that were sent by a crafty friend.  I die cut Cheery Lynn flourish and tiny flowers and added them in the bottom LH corner.  I stamped the Harmony word and definition on a scrap of paper coloured with distress ink.

A bit of fancy wool and done.
Birds flying north again, small flowers in bloom,
first coffee of the year enjoyed in the garden, the small harmonies of spring.

I used the Sizzix/Hero Arts Flourish stamp/embossing folder set, stamping with Plumeria chalk on light purple card and embossing with the folder.

I cut the embossed panel with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die and mounted on a dark purple card base.  The sentiment is from Paperartsy Ding and Dong set.

Wobbling Along

Hello.  Welcome.  Found my action wobbles!!  Here's a little leprechaun jigging with his friends.

Pink and Main Lucky Charm stamp coloured with green gel pens, sharpies and gold pilot marker.  I fussy cut him and mounted him on an action wobble.  The sentiment is a Rubber Dance stamp and I used Poppystamps Leaping Little Bunnies and Ring a Ding Corner die for the grass.

This is how I used the Ring a Ding Corner o make the grass.

Here's the little dude in action.

Mrs A Made Me Do It

Hello.  Welcome.  I had already decided on the colours and products I was going to use for this card and the butterfly made me think of Mrs A's Butterfly challenge.  Now, I admit, my participation is sketchy at best, and I hadn't dropped by in a while, so I hopped over to check the criteria.  And Lo! Mrs A has changed the format to include a card shape!!  I have already missed A is for Aperture and B is for Bi-fold.  We are now looking at C is for Center Step.  I was so impressed by Mrs A's third card I just had to give it a go.........

Mine isn't anywhere are elegant as Mrs A's.  And I am so glad that Mrs A spent time and effort working out variations on designs and has generously shared them.  It still took me a while to put this together, but it's a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon.

I used card from a paper pad I bought at the Works for my base card and the panels.  It's double sided yellow polka dots/green with orange flowers.  I also used some purple and yellow scraps to cut the little fancy frames using a Marianne Design die and to stamp the butterflies, also by Marianne Designs.  I stamped them on a yellow snippet, coloured with gel pens and fussy cut.  The girl was also stamped on a scrap of white card, coloured with distress inks and fussy cut.  She's a Marianne Designs Stampfairy and comes with a snowman, but he got the chop!!  I wanted this to be a springy creation so no snowmen allowed.......  The sentiment is from Rubber Dance Bling Bling stamp set.

White Space Green

Hello.  Welcome.  Been meaning to join the CAS Christmas challenge where they have the theme of Deer and they are also celebrating their first birthday.  So Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas everyone........

You won't believe how long it took to find the right shade of green for my white space!!!  I used gold mirror card, Sizzix Dashing Deer die and part of one of the Sizzix Holiday Knit embossing folders, and my green base card of course.  Me thinks this might be a good one for the boys.

Mermazing

Hello.  Welcome.  Flowers springing up all over.  I'm enjoying some time in the garden in between the showers and positively basking in the longer, lighter evenings.  Roll on warm days, roll on.  Over at the Blank Page Muse blog this month the team is looking at beachy things and under the sea.  I used this sassy mermaid and embossing to create an underwater sort of scene.

I used Blank Page Muse Mermaid 2 and I'm Not Perfect Phrase, an embossing folder from Crafters Companions, Promarkers and Deckle Edge dies from Sizzix.

Do hop over to the Blank Page Muse blog for all the details and more photo's.  You can also save 15% of your whole order at Blank Page Muse Stamps with my code BPMDtIona2019

Using Up the Leftovers

Hello.  Welcome.  So I was dressing up a die cut the other day with distress inks and used a scrap of paper to protect my desk.  At the end of the process the scrap was way too pretty to throw away so I made this card.

The background is my scrap, inked with Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon distress inks through Winnie and Walters Peppermint Zone Cutaway die cut.  I mounted it on a gold base card and used Stamplorations Snowy Stitched Hills dies to cut the same card and layered them at the bottom.  I stamped the elephant and monkey from W&W Big Hugs on grey card and added a little colour.  I cut a circle of yellow card using the pierced circle die from W&W Carly die set and edged it with Ripe Persimmon ink.  The 'for you' dies are also from the Carly set, and I decided to dress them up with orange flock stuff, which is why they look a bit furry.  Probably best not to say anything else about that........

Frosty Noses

Hello.  Welcome.  A quick christmas card using the very cute Polar Bears from Winnie and Walter's Big Hugs set, a snowflake stencil and the very lovely Joyous Noel die from Stamplorations

and it all went together like this........

I stamped the Big Hugs bears with black Archival ink and masked them.  I used another mask, cut using Stamplorations snowy stitched hills die, to sponge Stormy Sky distress ink as a blue 'snowbank' and then masked that off.  Then I used the Stormy Sky ink through a snowflake stencil over most of the card.

I found a scrap of Brusho coloured paper which had also been stencilled and cut it with the Stamplorations die.
