Dylan Loves Coffee

Hello Nomad friends.  I have been playing with the cyber scrappers again today.
I've made some Artist Trading cards.......

I cut my ATC bases from white card.  I stamped Gummiapan Coffee background stamp in various distress ink colours and then edged the ATC's with the same ink.  I stamped Gummiapan's Life Happens Coffee Helps sentiment and then I stamped the adorable Dylan four times on white card, fussy cut and added a little Promarker colour to his glasses and heart.  Adorbs..........

On The Roof

Hello Nomad friends.   I made a card to remind you that when the snow is up to the roof of your cabin and the only way out is through the chimney then it's always wise to check that there aren't any polar bears sunbathing on the roof!!!!!

I've used Waffle Flower Big Bear stamp and The Cat's Pajamas Poochie Xmas and Polar Holiday stamps. I stamped the bear, masked, stamped Poohie inside the chimney and extended the lines to make it look like a roofline???  Well, OK, maybe.  I gave the area over the roof a watercolour wash and stamped the dotty swirl from the Poochie set in blue.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Polar Holiday set.

What a scene!!!   Proably happens all the time in Svalbard!!!!   OK, maybe not so many swim trunk sunglass wearing polar bears in Svalbard either!!!

Let's Ski

Hello Nomad friends.  It's was a lovely sunny day again here.  Easter approaches and many Norwegians would usually be heading for the cabins and the mountains, hoping for a snowy holiday.  Due to the current situation this won't be happening this Easter but I've made a snowy ski scene card using Maja Designs Holiday in the Alps papers.

I cut partly round the skier so I could slip the treeline die behind her and then die cut using a Sizzix mountain die and a treeline die.  I coloured the trees with green Promarker.  Thanks for that idea Jo!!  I edged the mountain cuts with grey Promarker and mounted on a piece of grungy blue patterned paper that I cut with Gummiapan's Square Stitch die.  I used a white card base, but let the mountains flow to the edges.  I used a Papirdesigns cardstock sticker.  It translates as Magic Moment.

Thanks for dropping by.  Stay safe, keep well.  Hugz

Cyber Scraping

Hello Nomad friends.  The weather is glorious today.  Heading for the garden very soon, but first a little CAS birthday card using Gummiapan's very cool Unicorn.

Yesterday I found a few of the crafty fb groups are having Easter events.  I stamped the Gunniapan Happy Birthday bachground, stamped the Unicorn on another piece of card, die cut with the matching die and added him to the card.

If you know of any other fun events going on let me know.  Mr Mojo is in the mood......

Thank You Farmers

Hello.  Welcome.
The wind blows, the snow falls, the hail does it's thing.
The craft room is the place to be!!

I know we are thinking a lot about people who are essential workers and today I'd like to spotlight our farmers.  I live in the country.  Plenty farmers here.
Without them, where would we be??
Hungry!!

Farm work never stops, and we are heading into the lambing season here in Norway, so I had a play with the new Gnome and Sheep stamps from Lost Coast Designs.  I love these gnomies.  Red Neck Gnome has a crook, and I thought he needed some sheep, so I paired him with Lost Coast Designs Many Sheep stamp.

Ha, ha!!  I stamped the Many Sheep background (now also available ATC sized!) on a piece of white card and cut along the top to give a complete row of sheep.  I stamped Red Neck Gnome on a piece of white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  I wanted some grass and found a CC Designs drip die and a scrap of green card.  I decided it would make perfect gnome grass.  There were some advantageous gaps so I re-positioned a few sheep heads to fill them in a humerous manner.  I stamped the Happy Birthday and done.

Dear's Leap

Hello Nomad Friends.  Big storm here today.  Wind, rain, the occassional blizzard.  Got my order from Lost Coast Designs/Carmen's Veranda that woke Mr Mojo up.  They still have 25% off unmounted and cling mounted stamps with the code QUARANTINEUS.  The sale has become a bit open ended, like the virus.  Anyway, let's do Christmas!!!!   I saw the sketch over at 52 Weeks to Christmas and it's fab.  I thought I'd missed the linky but it appears I have hours to go yet, so I make a leaping deer card.

I used Stamploration Stitch dies for the panels and the Deer is also one of their dies.  I cut the deer from gold card and embossed with a winter flower embossing folder.  The stars were cut with a Gummiapan die.  A bit of red and gold twine and done!!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Mr Mojo is still looking hopeful that we will ink up the new rubber so maybe I'll be back soon.  Take care.  Keep well.  Hugz

DADDY 1.4.35 - 3.4.2020

I will burn a candle
Place it in the window
So you can see the light
And find your way home

My dad is 85 today.   My daddy is a gentle man and a gentleman, with a ready smile and a twinkle in his eye.  I love you Daddy.  A wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather.  I am proud to be your daughter, and I know you are proud of me too.  I learnt a lot, but not enough, from you.  I should have taken time to listen to more stories and wisdom.   But I did learn from your example to work hard for the big things and the little things, to love the garden and nature, good food and time spent with you.

I lit you a candle.  Just the one.  But it's a big one.

Last Thursday my daddy had a catastrophic stroke.
My daddy has the heart of an elephant.
Big, strong, gentle, kind.
Soon it will be silent.

I know that I will take pleasure and pain remembering our times together and use my tears to mix the colours of my life into a new tapestry where you smile at me and walk with butterflies into infinity.

Today we should be celebrating, instead we hold ourselves together, but alone, waiting to mourn, yet already mourning.   So I'm going to make a cake and enjoy it and think of you.  What'll it be daddy, fruit or chocolate??  Let's dance down Wells highstreet daddy, have a cream tea, or fish and chips and compare notes on successes and failures in the greenhouse.

My only regret is that we can not be with you at this time. HUGZ

3rd April 2020
My daddy's heart is still.
Rest peacefully sweet soul.
