Strings of Beans

Hello.  Welcome.  Let's have coffee!!

I used a piece of Oh I Love This Patterned Paper and think it might be Basic Grey?? as it just seemed to fit the coffee theme.  I stamped and fussy cut the Unity Girl stamp and coloured with Promarkers.  I used a scrap and cut the tag from Stamplorations Tag O'Coffee set, shortened it a bit and tinted it with Tea Dye and Walnut Stain distress inks.  I cut the Stamplorations sentiment Java Great Day from a scrap of gold mirror card.

On Wings She Flies

Hello.  Welcome.  The Rubber Dance challenge has moved to fb and I have made a little inspiration piece using the colours, red, orange and purple, and also the theme, greeting card.  

I stamped Rubber Dance Large Postoid with Royal purple ink and masked.  Then I took the two large Maple stamps and starting with Fossilised Amber, then Spiced Marmalade, then Ripe Persimmon and finally Worn Lipstick distress ink, I stamped then randomly to make my leafy background.  I used my waterbrush to add Wilted Violet distress around the postoid frame and stamped and embossed the sentiment from Beautiful Words on a piece of red card.  I cut it out and added some black archival to the edges.

Young Rocker

Hello.  Welcome.  I love this image and it's a perfect card for a young rocker I know.

I stamped the music staves three times and part of the sentiment once on a white card base with black archival.  Then I stamped the unicorn image on book paper, coloured with Promarkers, gel pens, a silver plot marker and fussy cut.  Stamps from Aall and Create #103.  Rock on!!

Chi Chi Wow Wow

Hello.  Welcome.  Here's a little canine fun with Carmen's Veranda Chihuahua stamp.  

Isn't that sentiment just perfect!!  Yes, let's all have a cookie!!  Look at that puppy!!!  Such a character!  I had to add the witch hat cos it's still 31 Days of Halloween at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and now we have added a Cat and Dog challenge.  So if you aren't feeling 'Weeny then roll out the felines and canines and join the fun.  Or combine both for double the fun and double the chance to win Lost Coast dollars.  Hop over to the Portal for more details on how I made my puppy card and to link up your makes.  All stamps by Carmen's Veranda.

Moosely Confused

Hello.  Welcome.  CASology have Punctuation as a cue word this week.  This cute moose came to mind.

This is Lost Coast Designs Carri's Menagerie large Moose.  He just looks so puzzled!!!  So I stamped him with a recently reinked black Archival ink pad, added a Sizzix die cut question mark and a little wash of Stormy Sky distress for him to stand on.  Standing on a stormy sky is probably confusing for everyone!!

There are a whole flock of these cute silhouette animals over at Lost Coast Designs.  They come as a pair in two sizes and are just adorbs!!

Quirky Sunday

Hello.  Welcome.  Rain, rain, rain, rain!!!  Well, what can you do??  Let's craft!!  I decided to perk myself up by going a little quirky.  And blokey as well!!  Me thinks the day is looking up already!!!  It's always a good day when I get a masculine make!

 I started by finding my shaving foam and reinker experiment from last weekend.

Hmmmm!!  This has been hanging around a week but thrifty crafter felt that there was still some potential here.  So I pulled another print from it.  It was a bit dried out and had lost it's foamy texture but I got to use it once before it suffered a total and irreversible collapse.

OK, it's not a WOW background but I thought it would make a perfect base.  And it smells nice!!

I grabbed a Sizzix embossing folder called Numbers, smeared Tea Dye distress ink on it and embossed my panel.  

I made a border using some pale blue card, a Sizzix Tribal border die and this PaperArtsy stamp from the Dolls 1 set.  I cut the card and inked the number bit of the stamp and randomly stamped with Salty Ocean distress ink.  Then I pieced all those little bits back in.  OK, not really!!  Life is too short.  I cut a piece of the blue card and backed the diecut with it.  

A couple of bits of ephemera made with the Paperartsy Dolls 1 set and a Stamplorations stitched tag die from the Tag O'Coffee set.  I cut the tag and stamped with the two postmark stamps from the dolls set with Salty Ocean DI.  I stamped the male doll on brown paper with black archival and fussy cut him.

I added a scrap of plaid paper and it all went together like this on a brown card base.  The sentiment is from Paperartsy Ding & Dong Plate 5 cos sometimes quirky needs direction.
