New Year Kiss

Hello Nomad friends.  Here again with a simple New Years greeting using the lovely Kiss stamp from Carabelle Studio.

I stamped her on white card, extended her shoulders down and fussy cut.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs New Years sentiment and mounted her on a brown designer card base.

Scrappy Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  It's never too early to make Christmas cards!  Especially when they use some of scrap mountain!   I've picked some scraps from my desk, and also found a couple of die cut snowflakes and Stamping Belle's Snowbunny already stamped, and Lo! a card is born!

Quite pleased with this curious construction.

Poof!

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the 2nd of the year so time to share my card I made for the December Card Chain Challenge international card exchange.  If you like to make cards and you like to get real, old fashioned style happy mail maybe you would like to join the fun.  We have been sending love around the planet, one card at a time, since October 2009.  Nothing can stop us!  Not even a pandemic!  It's been interesting, sometimes it's been slow, sometimes it's been really, really, really slow, but the love in an envelope has got there in the end.  I'd like to thank all the amazing talented ladies and gent who have taken part in the Card Chain Challenge over the years.  Some take part every month, some just now and again, or maybe only once, but your love and support and awesome art warms my heart and soul.

Here's the card I sent to Brenda in the UK.

I love dragons.  After hesitating for a long time I bought a couple of these colorize die sets.   Then I have to admit I took advantage of the November sales and went seriously crazy on these colorize sets, so stay tuned for whole savannas and christmas scenes and allsorts of other stuff. Must say they are an excellent way to use up scraps!  OK, big white card base, cos this dude is big!  I covered most of it with some fancy printed foiled vellum I got as happy mail.  Thanks Susanne.  At the bottom I added a green scrap offcut from a drips die.  Then I started cutting the dragon.  Quite complex looking, but pretty easy really, except I do start to lose interest when you get down to the very tiny fiddly die cut bits.  But lovely result.  The sentiment is from a Prima dolls set, also stamped on a scrap, which I fussy cut to mirror the background pattern.

If you would like to see all the amazing cards sent in December check out the REVEAL

If you would like to join the fun the JANUARY SIGN UP is open until 6th Jan.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year Nomad friends.  I hope you have had an wonderful festive season and New Year celebration.  Here's hoping for an awesome 2022.

I am kicking of my 2022 blogging with a card for the start of the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity challenge Let's Fly!  Shared your stamped anythings featuring things that fly.  I chose Lost Coast Designs Gryphon and perched him on an own made column.

I made a simple background by sprinkling various blue Brusho powders on a sheet of white card and spritzing with water and Windsor and Newton Iridescent Watercolour Medium, which gives a beautiful fine bling similar to Wink of Stellar pens.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Gryphon on some very pale lilac card and fussy cut.  I added gold tinsel gel pen to his claws and beak and a bit of red and green gel pen colour to his eye and tongue.  I stamped the 2022 using Lost Coast Designs License Plate Alphabet stamp set on the same pale lilac card.  Then I fussy cut it into a plinth shape, added some score lines and smeared it with grey archival ink.  Not too bad me thinks........  Then I just glued the column and Gryphon in place and mounted the panel on a navy blue slimline card base.

Link up your stamped anythings featuring things that fly to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity challenge for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.  See you there!!

Gnome With Treats

Hello Nomad friends.  This week I'm the hostess at the Mod Squad Challenge and the awesome sponsor is Lost Coast Designs!!!  Yeah!!!   We hope you will play along!  I chose the theme New, so new year, new baby, new home, or maybe share some new crafty goodies you got for Christmas.  Just mention what you 'new' thing is if it's not obvious.  There's a chance to win wonderful Lost Coast Designs stamps.

Here's my inspiration for you.  I am spending New Years Eve with a friend and I wanted to take a little gift, so I decided to make a self-closing box and decorate it with Lost Coast Designs stamps.

I folded the box from red Bazzill and then I stamped the pink panels with a new Lost Coast Designs background stamp called Flowers.  I stamped Front Sign Gnome, coloured and fussy cut him.  I stamped the Let's Party from the Party Words set on his sign, and also made a similar Happy New Year banner for the top of the bag.  Now I just need to fill it with something yummy!!

Thanks for visiting.  I am looking forward to seeing all your new things.  Hugz

Toffifee Snowman

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh, 2021 is zooming to a close and I'm playing catch up sharing some Christmas gift boxes I made.  This one I prettied up a toffifee box with Marianne Design papers and dies.

I used the Marianne Design sketch and papers from Eline's Woodland Christmas.  The star circle and snowman are Marianne Design dies.  I coloured the embossed detail on the snowman with Promarkers.
