Hello Nomad friends. I seemed to have misplaced a week and the end of the month is looming so I'm gonna hopefully have a bit of a blitz. To save me some writing and you some time I thought I'd post these two cards I made this afternoon together. Any similarities between them stop there. Let's start with a vintage style Christmas card
I liked the De Egel sketch and they want a vintage or nostalgic theme so I went all neutral colours and cut my Creative Expressions angel die and hearts from an ice lolly box. Don't you love when the pizza or ice lollies come in kraft coloured boxes?? It's become a bit of a highlight to see if the food carton cardboard is quality craft material or just bog standard grey board. This one was actually a bit thick and I peeled oFf the outside printed layer before I die cut the intricate angel. I also used scraps of patterned paper from Søsterens Grenes and the pretty circle is a Marianne Designs die. I stamped the Kort og Godt sentiment with brown archival ink. It says 'a big warm Christmas hello'.

and now for something totally different...........
I used Poppystamps Echo Blossoms die and made a rainbow flower, again lots of scraps used. The stem and leaves were cut using Poppystamps Poinsettia Stem die from scraps of green. I used Presscut clouds/rainbow embossing folder on a piece or grey woodgrain effect card for the background. I think this is a happy day/thinking of you/sending love and rainbows sort of card. I used a blue flower brad in the center.

Two very different cards in this post. Both fab. I SO agree with you about checking inside packaging for useful fake Kraft card! I do it all the time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering the first card as your homework for the Snippets Playground. Meet you in the treehouse for cocktails later xxx
