Hello Nomad friends. Happy 4th July! If you are celebrating than have a good one. Today I have some inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Celebrate It! challenge. I've gone for a birthday celebration.
For this card I used Lost Coast Designs Mona Flying, ATC Doodle Flowers, large rectangle Shadow Frame and Party Words.
The design was inspired by the current Lift Challenge where they want
you to mask an area, blend inks, over stamp and then add a black and
white image. I had an idea to use the large rectangle Shadow Frame,
ink it with distress inks, spritz a bit with water and stamp it on my
page. Nice! But then thinking about masking off to stamp into the
inked area I didn't fancy fussy cutting that frilly edge.... So I
decided to try stamping the flowers onto the shadow frame stamp and then stamping
the shadow frame onto the inked page.
Ooh,
pretty!! Having a stamp platform or stamping tool is really helpful
with this technique so you can perfectly over stamp LOL. I used
Spiced Marigold, Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed distress inks for the
background and Rusty Hinge to stamp the Flowers.
I stamped Mona Flying
on white card and fussy cut her and added her to the card. To finish I
stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on my inky stamped panel.
