Wot No Beer

Hello Nomad friends.  Welcome.
It's November and time for skulls and flowers.   If you can't bear to pack away your spooktacular stamps then hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where we are kicking of the month with our Day of the Dead celebration.  It's not a holiday we celebrate here in Norway, so I usually just think sugar skulls and flowers with the odd beer thrown in to help the party along.

This card actually started with the black piece in the middle.  It was a negative cut from inside a heart wreath die and had a wiggly edge.  I decided to die cut some Sizzix bats into it and then smeared with SugarCube white ink.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut Lost Coast Designs white nose skull from the Three Skulls set and added it to the middle of the card.  I decided it needed flowers so I grabbed some scraps, smeared various distress oxide colours on them and stamped with Lost Coast Designs Sketchy Rose stamp.  I fussy cut the roses and arranged them in an artistically pleasing manner around the edge of the card.  Done!!

And not a beer in sight......   Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

It's an interesting (I mean unexpected)combination of stamps, but that is exactly what excites me about stamping so it's perfect for our Country View Challenge this month! x

Great card Gail! I love how you used bright colourse to take some of the spookiness away from the skull :)
