Quicky Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the last of the month and I haven't joined up to Rudolf days yet so I shopped my stash and made a very quick christmas card using a Tilda Cutout

I know these were really popular with the Victorians but I think I was seduced by the angel carrying the bunny.  I die cut a silver glitter star for the top of the tree and added a silver sticker sentiment.  Since it's Christmas, and there's a bunny, I'd like to remind you about the Christmas Kickstart Challenge where the theme is Christmas Bunnies and I am Guest Elfing.  I also have a christmassy bunny giveaway on this post

Peeps!!!

Hello Nomad Friends.  Well, that was April.  Mine was crazy busy.  How about you??  Here's another project life layout featuring hens.  Bound to be animals or gardens with me!  This is Henriette with her brood.  She used to like to jump up on my lap or shoulder if she got the chance.

The 15 x 15 card in the top left is actually a dictionary I started making and failed!!  I have about 6 letters completed and H is for Hen was one of them.  When I saw Monica's moodboard sandy steps reminded me of the colours of my hens, and I thought the green stripey paper looked like the pages of the closed book, if you squint maybe LOL, and there's a bird on the moodboard as well.........  The blue circle behind the cut out hen is actually a piece of fabric.  I used a journal card and an acetate overlay with awesome printed on it.

Heart Melter

Hello Nomad friends.  One more PL layout for this evening and it's an orphan lamb I took home in 2011.  This was the first day home with us and he learnt really fast to follow me around.  What a cutie!!

Oh my, he was so sweet.  I used Pebbles journalling cards and some chipboard pieces from PL Here and There kit.  The pink heart is an acetate overlay from PL Clear set.  This layout was inspired by Elisabeth's moodboard - hearts, pink, flowers and love.

Hurrah for Pizza Boxes

Hello.  Welcome.  I have been doing some more PL layouts.  Here's one of some chicks my hen Lillemor hatched back in 2014.  This is their first day outside.

I used cardstock stickers and printed acetate pieces from a Nine&Co. collection pack and some PL cards from the This and That set.  Peeps are so cute!!  I was inspired by Emma's moodboard - greens, flowers, hearts and nature.

Stargazing Guest Elfing Giveaway

Hello Nomad friends.  Is the sun a bright, shining ball of fire with you too??  We have been enjoying seeing so much of it the last few weeks.

That said, I'm guest elfing over at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge this month and the new theme is Bunnies!!  I have a sneeky suspicion that the lovely Jo was thinking of me a bit with this one!  I love my bunnies, and it was my birthday yesterday, so in the spirit of birthday's I have a little giveaway.  Bunny themed of course!!  But first, my card.........

Squueeee!!   When I saw this stamp I couldn't resist.  It's called Falling Star by Nellie Snellen and I loved the cute bunny pulling his little reindeer on a sleigh.  I cut the card base using Stamplorations Double Stitch Rectangle die.  I used an embossing folder for the snowflakes and sentiment at the top of the card and tinted them with Stormy Sky distress ink.  I stamped the bunny onto the card and coloured with Promarkers and gel pens.  I smeared more Stormy sky for the ground and added glitter.  Some more glitter on bunny's hat and a gold star brad to cover the stamped falling star. To finish I found a tiny white with sliver tinsel pom-pom and added it for bunny's tail.

OK, here's what's on offer.  The cute bunny stamp and embossing folder I used on my card.  For your chance to win please leave me a comment including the magic word BUNNY.  If you link up a bunny/hare themed card over at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge then pop back and leave another comment with your entry number for an extra chance or three.  You know how it is with bunnies!!  Giveaway will close May 6th.
Check out my hat!!!  Might have to get some bunny ears on that!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Stay tuned for more bunny fun and more giveaways, probably involving bunnies!!!  Hugz

Snow Ballet

Hello Nomad friends.  I have spent another day in the sun!  It's wonderful.  Got the little tomato plants potted on and threw a bit of water around.  Some things are starting to look a bit crispy.  Briefly popped into the warm craft room and chilled out with a one layer christmas card.

I used a stamp from Pink and Mains Frosty Friends set.  Talking of which...... I'm guest Elf over at Jo's Christmas Kickstart Challenge.  The theme is snowmen, so don't forget to join the fun.  That little penguin looks like he's En Pointe mid lift!!  I used a sentiment from Joy Clair's Merry Christmoose stamp set.  I coloured with gel pens and added some glitter to the bear's hat.  Time Out want to see embellishments so I gave them each a sticker snowflake.

A Day In May

Hello Nomad friends.  Today I am trying something a bit different for me.  I have been following the Project Life Norge blog for a while, even made a title card or two!  They are celebrating their 5th Anniversary and the PL Norge ladies have made 10 moodboards that really inspired me.  But just in case, I popped over to my Muse and said, wanna do some PL pages?  Once I actually explained what a PL page was my Muse was amazingly enthusiastic, so together we made our first pages.  Here's mine.....

It's a new challenge for the photographer as well!!  Trying to get a good picture through the plastic sleeve.  I've gone with spring flowers.  I love my garden and my spring display is always one that makes my soul sing.  These are pictures from a day in May last year.  I am still waiting to see that glorious lily, but the Hellebores are looking lovely now and the tulips have started to bloom.  I used a couple of preprinted 4 x 6 journal cards.  The first one says forget the laundry spring is here.  The second one I cut in half and added either side of the tulips.  Everything is amazing!  I also used a printed acetate heart from a PL kit which I backed with silver glitter card and added it to the lily picture.

I took my inspiration from Gunilla's moodboard.  Loved the bold lettering, the pale turquoise, the flowers and the heart.

Thanks for dropping by.  I'm off to enjoy the sunshine and my spring flowers.  Hugz

Pixie Tea

Hello Nomad fans.  Gosh, busy here today!  I must have bus syndrome.  You know, never one when you want one and then three arrive at once.  Anyway, it's the 15th so time for a new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and this time the theme is On Wings She Flies.  We want to see your stamped makes featuring winged females.  I decided to use the sweet Tee Hee Hard Luck Pixie and a tea cup die cut from Marianne Designs.

Hmmm, tea!!  Bliss for me.  Being British I have a distinct weakness for a lovely cup of tea.  Loved when Lost Coast Designs released this cute tea bag carrying pixie.

I started by making the tea cup.  I die cut it from some greyboard ex-packaging.  I masked the inside of the cup and then stamped with Lost Coast Designs Yourba Adire background stamp and Stormy Sky distress ink.

I made a card base from some patterned paper and stamped Tee Hee on it using black archival.  That gives me all the little details I don't want to fussy cut.  Then I stamped again on a scrap of white card and coloured with distress inks.  She's got Worn Lipstick socks, Peeled Paint trousers, Stormy Sky shirt, Mowed Lawn hair and a Rusty Hinge tea bag.  I gave her wings a very pale Stormy Sky wash and added some glitter.  Then I fussy cut her, the tea bag and tea tag.

I stuck everything on the card base, tucking the tea tag behind the cup cos I do dislike a soggy tea tag!!  I added a few black pen details to make it look like the tea bag is causing ripples.  Oh yeah, I used Rusty Hinge for the tea in the cup as well.  Then I finished by stamping the Carmen's Veranda clear stamp word Bliss.  Hmmm, tea!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Link up your stamped winged females for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.  Remember, the more players the bigger the prize!!

A pot of Keemun tea has been brewing whilst I've been typing so me and my tea are going out in the garden to enjoy the sunshine.  Hugz

Pink Dragon

Hello.  Welcome.  Sketch + Colours + Theme = Card

My lemon chiffon is more lima bean but hopefully it qualifies.  I used Sizzix stitch rectangle die to cut my card base.  My MFT Magical Dragon(s) was stamped on pink card, fussy cut and watercoloured with Picked Raspberry distress ink and white gel pen.  I cut a circle of card from a pizza box, painted it with gesso and then Fresco Finish Limelight paint and added a Stamplorations die cut Bloom.  The dragon is sitting on some Prima Mulberry mica flakes and the happy birthday is also from Stamplorations.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you have sunshine.  We do!  I'm off to do some gardening.  Hugz

Sleepyhead Bunnyslippers

Hello Nomad fans.  It's time for a new Christmas Kickstart Challenge and I'm guest elfing this month.  Gosh, part time elf.  But I do love the hat!

This fortnight the delightful Jo has chosen Frosty and Friends and we want to see snowmen.  I have a soft spot for a cute snowman and I recently got my sparkly mitts on TH's Snowman Scene dies.

Yes, he looks a bit surprised to be whisked away from his winter wonderland and find himself hanging in a christmas bauble.  I am sure he'll get used to it.  This was a fab die for using up the scraps of white and I also used a few silver scraps to jazz up the Sizzix bauble diecut.  Kort og Godt card base, some pale blue with copper foil accents designer paper and of course, wool with snowballs on to hang it all up.  The lovely scripty Merry Christmas is a Mark Finest Papers stamp.

Squuueee, love the hat.  I get to wear this all month!!  It looks great about town.

Link up your snowperson makes for a chance to get a cool badge and there is also a prize on offer in the fabulous Rudolf Random Raffle.
