The Great Little City

Hi.  Again!!  Welcome everyone.  This morning the postman came with happy mail and I just couldn't resist having another play with my new LP stamps!!  Even though I have a really early call tomorrow.  Make that later!!  OK, quick post.  Lovely sunny day.  Had a fab time with my sister in Wells.  A lovely city.  Especially on a sunny day.  The horse chestnut trees in front of the Bishops Palace were glorious.  And there was ice cream.  Perfect.

This tag is also one I embossed and inked before the trip.  I said I was feeling taggy this week......

I should have got a picture of the tag before I put the LP images on but it's just too much fun.  The tag was embossed with Sizzix Rays embossing folder and coloured with my most favourtest ink DI Dusty Concord.  The LP images are from LPC022, again!  I haven't edged my images in black as suggested by Carol Quance, although I was going to because it's a great tip.  Since I am still using the American Craft Memory Marker, which are drying a bit quick and giving this sort of faded effect that I am starting to really like, I thought a really strong edge would be a bit much.  I love this new LP set.  It was a heads/tails between this one and LPC024 (love the girl with the fish) but I decided this set was such a great mix of traditional and modern images that I would start with this one.    I added a bow, tied by me from a technique I learnt here.  Thanks Ginny.  I have used a triple loop with purple satin ribbon.

OK, Gail! This tag has me loving *everything* about it! Dusty Concord is one of my favorites, too, and that oh-so-perfectly tied ribbon is a beautiful blue, as well! I like the crisp effect gained by outlining one's images in black, but, I have to say that on this one, I like that all elements seem just to blend one into the other--and I love that technique, too! This is just awesome!!

A little practice and you will be tying bows all over the place.
