City of One

Hello.  Welcome.  If you go down in the woods tonight
Watch Out!!  It might be spooky....

I started with a white card base.  I used a mini-blending tool to stamp a Mustard Seed circle.  Then I blended Ripe Persimmon, Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet distress ink.  I also used the Ripe Persimmon to cover the edge of the card.  I cut a panel of black card with Creative Expressions double stitched rectangle die then used Poppystamps House in the Woods die.  Love this cute little scene.  I added some yellow paper behind the windows.  Then I used Poppystamp Batty Triptych to cut the three bats from a glossy black card, clipped them free and added them to the scene.

If History Repeats Itself I Want a Pterodactyl

Hello.  Welcome.  Love this little Pterodactyl from Stamplorations.

I used Tando Distorted Harlequin stencil and sponged white dye ink onto black card.  There was quite a lot of ink on the stencil so I transferred it to another black card, and that's the one I used here.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment from Stamplorations Baa Baa set with white powder.  I stamped the Pterodactyl from the Dino Things set with black archival, coloured with Promarkers and distress ink Peacock Feathers for his body.

Strangely Ooman

Hello.  Welcome.  After moving about a ton of soil out of my chicken garden this morning I decided it was time to try and join a few more cards to some of the World Card Making Day challenges that are open still.  I love World Card making Day Week!!!!  Here's a funny little chap amid monotone leaves.

The Lost Coast Designs Leaves Background is a current favourite and adds lovely texture.  I stamped the leaves using black archival, which I must remember to re-ink!!  I was going to stamp Carmen's Veranda Monkey Face on white card and fussy cut but decided to just stamp him straight on the leaves and emboss with black powder.  Love the leaf texture on his face!!  I used white and blue gel pens on his eyes, a Sizzix deckle die to cut the panel and mounted it on a black base card.  Pleasingly quirky.

Tiny Little Town

Hello.  Welcome. The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday is Cityscape.  I had a momentary blank moment and then this stamp sprang to mind.

This is part of Crafty Individuals The Star in the East stamp.  It's quite a large stamp and I wanted to make a chrismassy ATC, so I selected a section to stamp and embossed it with black powder and a bit of silver for the big star.  I've coloured with gel pens and distress ink and dotted around with a silver pilot marker to make my sky a bit more starry.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Autumn Beauty

Hello.  Welcome.  I always think this Geisha looks a bit thoughtful so I paired her with a stamp from Rubber Dance Norwegian Greetings which says Thinking of You

I made this distress ink smooshed background at the same time I made the one for the previous post, but this one has more yellow.  I stamped PaperBabes MaryLeeDee Kimono clear stamp and embossed her and the sentiment with black powder.  I coloured her with Promarkers and stamped some of the small hearts from the Rubber Dance set with red ink.  I cut the panel with Sizzix Deckle edge die and mounted on a red base card.

Sheep in a Hat

Hello.  Welcome.  I was lucky enough to win the Cards Und More September challenge and they invited me to guest design for their October Anything Goes with an Autumn theme challenge.  Here's what I came up with.

I made a smooshed background with distress inks and stamped the lovely Lost Coast Designs Leaves Background, also with distress inks.  I stamped the sheep and re-mixed sentiment from Penny Black's Animal Kingdom stamp set and embossed with black powder.  I removed some colour from the sheep with a baby wipe and added some highlights with white, red and green gel pens.  I cut the panel with Stamplorations Double Stitch Rectangle die and mounted on a gold stardream card base.  Love that sheep in a bowler!!

Thanks for dropping by.  I'm off to enjoy the sunshine that has unexpectedly arrived today after weeks of rain!!  Hugz

When Only Extra Large Will Do

Hello.  Welcome.  I liked the colours of the Card und More moodboard and was also looking at the coffee cups in the picture.

There's probably a die somewhere but I just winged it.

I started with a scrap of a weetabix box, a tiny scrap of red and some snippets of MME patterned paper.  I cut a cup shape and used one of Memory Box Gentle Stitched Landscape die to help cut the lid and cup sleeve.

I added the lid and stamped the cup with Joy Clair coffee bean stamp from the Coffee Love set.  I stamped the sentiment from the Joy Clair Coffee Love set and edged the cup sleeve with blue die ink.  I was originally going to leave it at that but it wasn't floating my boat.

So I stuck it on a pearlised steel blue card base.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz
