Wedding Season

Hello.  Welcome.  Janis reminded me today about the Unstampabelles challenge. I have been meaning to join this all month!  I even found the perfect metal charms a week or so ago.   They have been sitting on my desk and amazingly have not been stolen by gremlins.  Then some new to me Marianne Design dies came and I decided it's now or never......

Actually love this!!   I used two Marianne design sets and cut two doilies from silver mirror card and layered them.  Then I added the two metal charms from Korthobby.  The intricate square and heart looked so pretty together.  A Kort og Godt die cut sentiement, which means dear bridal pair, and done.  Simple, but beautiful.

Paradise Tours

Hello.  Welcome.  I seem to be in a bit of a shaker mood.  Here's a shaky double decker on it's way to a birthday party.

I cut Memory Box Double Decker from rainbow corrugated card and added a Stamplorations Bird of Paradise, also rainbow coloured, as the driver.  I used acetate, craft foam and gold glass micro beads to make the shaker elements in the windows.  I cut the wheels from gold and black card and embossed them with Darice Retro Circles embossing folder.  I  used the same folder to emboss the card I used to back the shaker windows.  I used Sizzix Tyre Track embossing folder for the ground and added a charm on a ball link chain from Korthobby.  I stamped a few stars behind the charm so the driver has something to look at when it is removed.  It will make a very fun dangle for a phone or some such.  It reads til den kuleste gutten (to the most cool boy).   I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from Rubber Dance on vellum and added it to the side of the bus.

Quick! Penguins

Hello.  Gail here today with a terrible cute and very quick make.

Squuueeeeee!  Isn't that little penguin just adorbs???  Perfect for a kiddy christmas card, although I know a number of adults who would probably be smitten as well.  This is Blank Page Muse Curious Penguin with Small Fish.  You can also buy this penguin and some others the same style plus a load of small stamps as a sheet, Penguins on Ice Winter Holiday Stamp Sheet.  I think I will be using these a lot LOL.  I stamped the penguin and fish with black archival and coloured some details with a red and a yellow sharpie.  Use Pumice Stone distress ink and a water brush on the penguin and his scarf, and Spiced Marmalade on the fish.  Do a watercolour wash of Stormy Sky and Salty Ocean distress inks to make the background.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you get time to stamp something pretty today.  Hugz

Man In The Moon

Hello.  Welcome.  It's my Nan's birthday today.  Happy Birthday Nanny.  Love you millions.  I was lucky enough to do a video call to her yesterday when the family had gathered to wish her well.  Being in another country means I couldn't make it in person, but a big huge thanks for my sister making the video call possible.  Here's nanny blowing out her 96 candles!!!
Way to go Nanny!!!

I have a fun mixed media tag over on the Colourcrafts blog today.  I had a wonderful time gathering scraps and fun elements to make this.  It's got super bling with shiny bright Silver Aztec Metallic paint and Iridescent Flash Brusho SprinkleIt.  This is a really cool product that will stick to any wet medium.  You only need a tiny amount to give a super bling look.

The Moonface is from a piece of MME patterned paper and I framed it with a chipboard ring.  I used a stencil and the Silver Aztec paint to make the stripes.  The sentiment is from Carmen's Veranda stamped on ripped vellum.  I  added a balllink chain, a lucky metal heart charm and a little bell, cos you need a bit of jingle, all from Korthobby.no.

Do hop over to the Colourcraft blog and check out all the fun details.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

As Above, So Below

Hello Nomad friends.  Tonight I have made a tag with the wonderful MFT Viking stamp.  Love this guy and he fits right in here in Norway.  I based my tag on this weeks MFT Sketch.

I started by stamping MFT Viking on a scrap of white card, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  He's in his summer clothes.  They are just like his winter clothes, just more green.  Then I found this cute Plain Jane chipboard.

My camera had a bit of a mare with this picture!!  I've painted the chipboard piece with Colourcraft Aztec Blue Metallic Lustre paint.  Then I embossed with Sizzix Cirque embossing folder.

I cut a tag from a scrap of gold stardream card and stamped the wheel from MFT Saddle Up and Celebrate.  Thought it matched the shield a bit LOL. The sentiment is from this set as well.  I cut a scrap of pp for the bottom of the tag, smearing on a bit of Salty Ocean distress ink, added the chipboard and the Viking.

I stamped the sentiment and added some snowball wool and done!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz.

Going Big

Hello.  Welcome.  I spotted a challenge at Power Poppy where the theme is Go Big.  They want big subtle background stamping.  I got the Prima Anelie stamp recently and was trying to work out how to use her, cos she's big!  Perfect!!!!

Isn't she pretty!!  I stamped her on a white hammered card base using Memento London Fog ink.  I stamped the hummingbird on a scrap of white card, coloured with Promarkers and added some gold pilot marker details, and fussy cut it.  The sentiment is from Carmen's Veranda stamped with black archival.

Crazy Dancer

Hello Nomad friends.  I have a card over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today where the challenge is Use Some Words.  Lost Coast Designs is also a sponsor of the Allsorts 10th Birthday challenge so I decided to go all bright and happy and birthday.

I made a one layer card by stamping and masking Lost Coast Designs Thin Dancer, then stamping Lost Coast Designs Small Circle Shadow Frame stamp with Picked Raspberry distress oxide to make those crazy polka dots.   I used Carmen's Veranda Queen of Everything and black archival ink for the sentiment and edged my card with Picked Raspberry distress ink.

Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to check out the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for fabulous inspiration from the team and the challenge linky

Hello Nomad friends.  There's some springtime inspiration over on the Blank Page Muse blog and I made this simple flower card using Beautiful Daisy Flowers and Everyday Is A New Beginning

This image is so pretty, with or without colour and I love that sentiment.

Bare Skinned Bloke Before Coffee

Hello Nomad friends.  Today I'm going all risque for my Lost Coast Designs Inspiration piece over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  I've used Weeping Man and staged him for that BC (before coffee) look.

He doesn't usually have a coffee cup hanging off his finger!  If he did I am sure it would be a much better looking than that one my amateur drawing skills came up with!!  The sentiment made me do it!!

Hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity to check the details and link up your stamped I Spy Something Beginning With B makes for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.

Tea Time

Hello Nomad friends.  More after midnight crafting.  Seems the only crafty time is late evening at the moment, but crafty time is crafty time!!!

I've made this card using Spellbinders Small Scallop Octagon die.  I stamped Art Impressions Bird Brain on white card, cut a bit around the wing and feet so I could tuck them behind the die when I cut the card shape.  Did a bit of fiddlin' with the cutting plates so the card hinge is straight.  I coloured with distress inks and gel pens.  The sentiment is from Stamplorations Always Tea Time set.

An Expression of Infinity

Hello.  Welcome.  After midnight there is no telling where the crafty mojo will take you.  The most basic way to use a stamp is to stamp it.  The most basic way to use a die is to cut it.  Very few of us would consider leaving it at that.  And this took a lot longer to do than you can possibly imagine cos I kept trying to find things to add to it.  Then I remembered Milka's Math Challenge has a theme of Infinity.  It was stuck in my head cos it had me stumped.  How do you represent infinity.  Ahhhhhhh........ Winnie and Walter's Peppermint Zone die to the rescue.............

Infinity if ever I saw it!!

Now you may look at this and say, so what, you cut a die and stuck it on a base card.  But the thing is, I stopped and allowed the amazing qualities of this gorgeous die to embrace me and take me on a journey to everywhere.   I actually really, really, really love this card.  I'm gonna stare at it a bit longer.

Birthday Coffee

Hello Nomad friends.  Just needed a quick birthday card for a cat and coffee loving friend so La La Land's Morning Coffee Molli fitted perfectly.

I folded the patterned paper base and stamped Molli onto it with black archival.  I coloured with Promarkers and used a pale paint pen for her skin to cover up the pattern.  Oops, missed her hands!!  Never mind, they stamped quite nicely over that pink highlight on the paper.  Don't you love serendipity!  I found this lovely metal embellishment from Korthobby.no with the word Gratulerer (congratulations in Norwegian) which is used for all sorts of special days, especially birthdays.  I added some polka dot ribbon, cos polka dots are always fun and the green make me think of spring.
