Beary Merry Christmas

Hello.  Welcome.  Just wanted to share a quick beary Christmas card.

I used Kort og Godt patterned paper for my card base and stamped the sentiment from The Cats Pajamas Polar Holiday set with black Archival.  I stamped the bear from The Greeting Farm Let It Snow set on white card, fussy cut and coloured with Promarkers.  I stamped the solid heart from the Let It Snow set with Rusty Hinge distress ink on the scarf.   Quick make!!  Possible contender for The Christmas card LOL.

Top Of The Morning

Hello.  Welcome.  Feeling lucky??  I've got that leprechaun feeling coming over me.

This is Pink and Main Lucky Charm and the sentiment is from the P&M Lucky Friend set.  I based my design on the current My Favourite Things sketch.  I used Stamplorations Dots and Dashes stencil with Peeled Pain distress ink on green designer paper cut with Stamplorations Double Stitch Recangle die.  I coloured the little lucky dude with Promarkers, used Zig green wink of stella and a yellow sharpie for his checked shirt, Worn Lipstick distress for his face and hands and gold pilot marker for the buckles.  He's a lucky little mixed media dude!!  The clovers were stamped with Mowed Lawn distress ink.

Woodland Friend

Hello.  Welcome.  Had an idea.  Made card.  Like it.

I used papers from Papirdesigns Tur i Skogen (walk in the woods).   I cut the feather paper with Stamplorations Double Stitch rectangle die and mounted it on a rust Bazzill dots card base.  I cut the mushroom paper and a piece of white card with Papirdesigns scallop circle dies and stamped the sentiment from Nyt Livet.  I edged the scallop circles with Archival Watering Can ink and Dried Marigold distress ink.  Then I fussy cut the little fox, which is the backside pattern of the feather paper, and added him to the card.  The sentiment translates as 'lucky me to have a friend like you'.

Do You Think He Saurus?

Hello.  Welcome.  Just wanted to share a card I made for a special little man.

I've used Signature dies, T-Rex and Wanted Poster.  The flower paper is a scrap of MME paper I think and the red is a posh envelope that I cut with the die and sanded.  The T-Rex was cut from a scrap of blue pearlised card and I used a Stormy Sky Distress marker to outline the details. I layered on a blue mat and black base card, using scissors to wiggle cut to match the die edges.

More Wings Please

Hello.  Welcome.  I have a little vintage style piece over at the Blank Page Muse blog today featuring this thoughtful man.  The white wings actually belong to the bloke, but I decided to get arty and splash them around.  Never be afraid to fussy cut bits off your image for a totally new look.  I have even been known to take scissors to stamps and rearrange them, but that's another story........

I used three Blank Page Muse stamps on this piece, Vintage Steampunk Gentleman with Wings, Steampunk Pocket Watch with Wings, and the sentiment Be Brave.  The stencil is from That's Crafty and is called Random Ovals.  Do hop over to the blog for all the details and leave me a little love so I know you passed by.  Thanks for visiting.  Hugz

Praline Chocolate with Sprinkles

Hello.  Welcome.  Whilst rattling through my stamps earlier I spotted this cute little dude with a cupcake and decided to use him on a tag.

I cut the tag from a scrap of yogurt packaging using Stamplorations large Luggage Tag die.  I stamped the boy from Panduro's Children set onto the tag with black archival and used Promarkers to colour him.  I used a white gel pen for the candle and highlights.  Then I went a bit crazy with the glitter glue sprinkles!!  I stamped the small clustered hearts using a Rubber Dance stamp and blazing red StazOn, which is not the blazing red I was hoping for but more a crimson pink.  Has anyone got a tip for a really red good stamping ink???  I used Poppystamps Love Script Heart and cut a scrap of red card.  Then I backed it with a scrap of pink inked paper.  I cut round the boy's hat so I could tuck the tip of the heart behind him.  Some fancy wool and a red heart brad and done!!

Scandi Christmas

Hello.  Welcome.  I was checking out the gallery over at the Kickstart Christmas challenge where this time the delightful Jo  wants hearts.  There are a few entries that are red and white and hearts and look very Scandanavian.  I also saw the colour challenge over at MFT this morning and the red, red, grey and white also made me think Scandi so I had a quick hunt through my Panduro stamps and found this cute little Nisse with a tray of heart shaped cookies.

OK, maybe I shouldn't have coloured the cookies bright red!!  I am sure they will still taste delicious.  Maybe they are red velvet cookies?  Made them one year.  Chocolate cookies with loads of red colouring.  Very festive.  So, stamps from Panduro.  I stamped the girl and the God Jul (Merry Christmas) banner.  I stamped the big heart and added some doodles to connect it to the banner.  I coloured with Promarkers, Molten Red, Crimson and grey and added some iridescent and red glitter glue.  Gotta have a little bling at christmas.  I did a simple Hickory Smoke distress ink water colour wash for the floor.  Cookie anyone????

Menagerie Set

Hello.  Welcome.  I have made a set of cards inspired by a design by Heather.  I liked the dotty patterned paper card base and the simple stamping on the panel.  So I cut up a 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper to make my card bases, and since I got three from one piece of paper I decided to make a set of three cards.

The patterned paper is from the Works.  I used Sizzix double stitch oval die to cut my panel and stamped the animals from Winnie and Walters Big Hugs clear stamp set.  Then I added a sentiment from Rubber Dance Just a Note (Norwegian sayings) to each panel.

Cute giraffes with a sentiment that means Thank You

Sweet bears with a sentiment that means Thinking of You

A cute elephant and monkey with a sentiment that says a little hello.

Unstamped Christmas

Hello.  Welcome.  There's a couple of challenges looking for no stamping, and I am so trying to use some of my stash, so tonight it's the turn of the stickers!!!!   I have lots of stickers!!!!  And it's christmas as well, cos I need to be making a few christmas cards a month.  So here we go, Memory Box Frosted Christmas tree with stickers embellishments.

I started with a white hammered card base and cut and embossed Memory Box Frosted Christmas Tree.  I used iridescent glitter glue, which has a pink sheen, to highlight the embossed areas.  I cut a pot from a scrap of black card and added a couple of strips of pink and cream paper tape.

I found a couple of sheets of christmas stickers.  I added the fairy on the top of the tree and a teddy and a couple of presents at the bottom.  I cut a sentiment sticker in half and added it on either side of the tree.  Then I thought the pot was too dark so I added a poinsettia sticker on it.

Stained Glass Jester

Hello.  Welcome.  It's the 15th of the month so that's a new challenge starting at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and the theme is Hip To Be Square.  The team are showcasing a particular range of really cool stamps from Carmen's Veranda which are called Squares, cos they are!!!  You can enter any stamped Square creations, or stamped creations using square elements, but do hop over and check out the inspiration from the team cos these stamps are really cool.  I used the Jester square and made a faux stained glass CAS card.

I love this!!  I'm allowed to say that cos it's true!!  I love the stamp, I love the fact that the alcohol markers on the acetate give such a beautiful bright creation and I love that it was quick!!  No really!  Very quick.   If you ignore the time wasted while I tried to emboss the image on acetate that was not heat resistant!!  So, after I chucked that away I stamped the Jester on acetate using black Staz On.  I left it to dry and cut my gold mirror card frame using square stitch dies from Gummiapan.  Then I flipped my acetate over and used Chili Red, Sunflower, Bright Orange and Blossom Pink Promarkers to colour my image.  Scribble, scribble, scribble!!  Forgot to colour the bells!!  Oh well.  Cut the acetate, add the frame and stick it on a square white base card.  Stamp the first part of Carmen's Veranda Have a Cookie sentiment with black archival.

Then stamp the rest of the sentiment inside the card.  I saved even more time by cutting my sentiment apart!!   No need for masking and the danger of inky smudges cos I didn't mask it right, and cos it's a clear stamp it just sticks to the block as one piece or two and no one will ever know!!  Except I told you!  But that's OK, cos I know you understand.  ROFL.

Some Bunny Otter Love You

Hello.  Welcome.  Happy Valentines Day every one.  Hope you all got a little extra love today.  I decided to jump on the band wagon and make a little love giving card.  Here's Poppystamps Cupcake Party Bunny giving his heart to the otter from Christmas Friends.  Is so cute!!!!!

Keeping it black and white and red and heart full.  The die is Poppystamps Heartland Oval Frame.  I made a shaker and filled it with red sparkly bits from Doodles Paper Playground Garnet and Crown Jewels Sparkle Blends.  OK, I admit, I tipped out the blends and selected just the red sequins!!!  It's a labour of love........  I cut the white panel with Stamplorations Double Stitch rectangle die and mounted on a red and white stripey base card.
