Prancer

Hello.  Welcome.  I'm in a reindeer mood.  Actually, I haven't had this one out for a long time and I'd forgotten how pretty it looks, especially on mirror card.


This card started as a case of Cecilie's card, Day 5 of the Ett Trykk Advent Calendar.  I went with similar colours, and it was going to be a similar layout, but it kinda took on a life of it's own.  I'm blaming it on the reindeer........


I started by cutting a piece of patterned paper with Gummiapans stitched square die.  The paper is brown with white printed snowflakes.  I edged my square with Tea Dye distress ink and then decided to stamp Hero Arts Stunning Snowflakes using the same ink.  Uhhhhhhh, who didn't clean the stamp last time???  So I got greenish snowflakes instead of brown, but I like it!!


I used Sizzix Ornament 2 set to cut and emboss the leafy cluster and coloured with Pine Needle distress ink.  I was going to hang it around the neck of Sizzix Reindeer 2, cut and embossed on gold mirror card, but it seemed a pity to cover it up.  It is rather magnificent!!  So the leafy cluster went behind the deer and the Rubber Dance God Jul (Merry Christmas) ended up down in the bottom corner.
