Hello. Welcome. A couple of days ago I celebrated my summer birthday. Me and the queen, we have two! A real and an official. I decided to make my second one a summer birthday cos I am solar powered! I get so much more done on a sunny day. Grey days find me quite un-energetic. And in keeping with birthdays there was a whole slew of happy mail!! I couldn't have timed it better, but since I have absolutely no control on when Postman Pat delivers my orders I suppose we should really chalk it up to happy coincidence!! But don't you find happy mail always makes Mr Mojo stand up and dance?? If not you obviously aren't ordering the right stuff!! One of the many amazing things I got was this beautiful Carabelle Studios Lion stamp.
Isn't he a hunk!!
Lion comes with three other stamps and I used the small concentric circle stamp, stamped and embosed with white powder and added colour with Shabby Shutters distress ink. Then I cut with a sizzix circle die.
A white base card, Stormy Sky DI and a stamp from Rubber Dance Pine Fir Yew set, stamping repeatedly to get this furry sort of border.
I cut a larger circle using the Sizzix dies again and smeared it with Stormy Sky DI. I cut Poppystamps Boddington Tree Cluster and coloured with Peeled Paint DI and glued the die cut and the two circles on my base card.
I stamped, embossed and fussy cut Carabelle Studios Lion and coloured him with the same distress inks I had already used and also a little Marigold and yellow. And I have no idea what he is saying but I am sure it will come to me, in time......
Thanks for dropping by. Hugz
