Big Shoes

Hello.  Welcome.  Thanks you all for your lovely comments on my post before last.  I had such fun making that card and it seems most people, 8 out of 10 who expressed a preference LOL, would prefer to act their shoe size rather than their age.  Personally, since I have small feet and was quite a precocious 5 year old, I may have to find some bigger feet and act that size instead.

I've been working on an ATC for Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge.  This week Jenn has set the challenge of Crazy for Coffee.  Knew I should have bought that coffee bean embossing folder!!  So short of coffee themed stash I went to the kitchen.

Tonight friends I have decided to build my ATC from coffee filters.  Natural colour ones of course.  If anyone is interested, including me if I check back for tips, stick your filter layers together before you cut.  Coffee filter paper stretches when wet so I cut, stuck and then had to cut again.  I think I went with 6 layers and am quite pleased with the thickness and strength of my ATC.

I forgot to take a picture before I added my letters but while my stuck together layers were still wet I added some instant coffee powder.  Doesn't that give a nice mottled effect.  And a little Eau de Kaffe as well.  I was going to die cut letters but couldn't find the size I liked and then decided I wanted big letters.  I fussy cut from brown card and went around the ATC edge with VersaMagic Jumbo Java chalk ink.  Did you see that?  Jumbo Java = Big Coffee.  Yeah?

I checked the stash for a suitably crazy looking subject and found Rabbit from Stampotique.  The coffee is coming to get you!!  He looks so worried.  I stamped him in Jumbo Java, just to keep with the theme.

Coffee Crazed Rabbit is joining the fun at

Thanks for visiting and thanks to everyone who voted for my card over at Joan's Touch.  I wasn't lucky last week but am working on this weeks offering.  Take care, be crafty.

I love the humor here, Gail, *almost* as I love the art! And, yes, I am a BIG coffee fan. Love your fussy cut letters and also the fact that you were not derailed by not finding the perfect side to die cut! By the way, I now must take a new look at coffee filters!! Great project, beautifully done!
