Such A Deer

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm elfing out at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge again this month and we want to see your deers, mooses, stags, reindeers, hinds, Bambi's and Rudolfs.

Add a deer and don't forget to keep it Christmas!

I decided to go tall and slim with this gold stardream base card.  I couldn't find silver card but stumbled across a sheet of metallic blue!  Blue and gold always looks classy, so I used it to cut the Kort og Godt trees and the Stamplorations Merry Christmas.  The moose is a Frantic Stamper die, cut from kraft card and then coloured with Promarkers.  Isn't he adorbs!!

Hop over, check out Jo's fabulous card and don't forget to join the fun for a chance at an awesome prize picked out specially by Rudolf!

Silver and Pink

Hello Nomad friends.  Found this lovely die cut piece in my scraps pile and decided to use it before it got squished.  It's Winnie and Walter's Can You See What I See cutting plate cut from pink card.

I mounted on Kort og Godt designer card with a brick pattern.  I built up the embellishment with two large silver metal flower charms from Korthobby.  I added a pink brad in one of them.  I also found some silver metal wings, also from Korthobby, but they were quite heavy, so I used a Cuttlebug cut and emboss folder to cut a pair from silver mirror card.  I added some pink and white twine and a preprinted pink sentiment panel.

Scrap Angel

Hello Nomad friends.  I used some square scraps and a new to me Sizzix angel die to make this card.

I cut the scrappy squares with Gummiapan stitch square die and arranged them on the card base.  I cut the angel from kraft and a scrap of patterned paper.  I added a couple of flock corner stickers to finish.

Carved Fox and Owl Cards

Hello Nomad friends.  I have a couple of cards over on the Rubber Dance blog today made from some inky scraps I had lying around.

I've used stamps from Carved Whimsy Wood and Carved Fox and Owl for these two cards.  Have you seen the new January release??  I am so happy Susanne is adding to the 'Carved' range.  Very exciting to see more stamps in this style.

The scraps were coloured with spray inks and some Aztec paint splats.  I stamped with black archival and added some orange and white gel pen colour.

Don't forget to check out the Rubber Dance webshop.  There is a selection of stamps on special offer so hop over and check out the sale.   The new January release is also on offer and available for pre-order now!

Have a Bee-utiful Day

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy New Year.  Hope you had a lovely festive season and happy and safe New Year celebrations.  Let's hope 2021 will be a better year for us all.  It's the second of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge reveal.   My card is winging it's way to Jo in the UK.  Still winging......  I think it got caught in the borders closures during the latest let's blame the UK for this virus mutation, which was really silly cos that particular mutant has been kicking around since September and is already all over Europe.  But watching political events from the comfort of Norway gives an interesting oversight on how childish European politicians are.  Anyway, can't do much about stupidity, but can share this card with you.

We don't usually do a December exchange but decided to give it a go and changed the options format to Tic-Tac-Toe.  Some of the ladies went full house, but I just chose Yellow, Bee, Torn Edges.  The bee is from Rubber Dance and the textured hexagons and sentiment are from Unity Stamp Co.

There is still time to sign up for the January exchange if you would like to send and receive happy mail.

Do hop over and check out the reveal.  The ladies of the card chain challenge sure are a talented bunch.  Proud to be a link in the chain.  Humbled to be called friend by so many beautiful souls around the planet.  HUGZ

Thanks for dropping by.  Back soon.  Hugz

Onward and Upward and 2 Chances to Win

Hello Nomad friends.  The end of  2020 is looming.  Let's hope all the crap gets left behind.  I have made a New Year card in shades of blue using Lost Coast Designs stamps.  I think this gnome is my favourite of the bunch!  If you haven't checked out the Lost Coast Designs Gnomes then hop over, cos they are so cute and awesome, and Linda is still offering 25% off your order!!!  What a way to start the new year with some of these dudes dropping through your letter box.

I used Lost Coast Designs Tall Trees Background, Profile Gnome, the sun from Sun and Moon and Misc. Words for the sentiment.   I stamped the Tall Trees background and sentiment using blue dye ink and the sun using black archival onto my card base.  I stamped the gnome on a scrap of white card, fussy cut and coloured with Promarkers.  I stamped the sun on a scrap of yellow card, fussy cut and added it to the card.  Some iridescent glitter glue in the tree tops and done!!
