Blue Is The Colour Of My True Love's Hare

Hello.  Welcome.  I couldn't resist this Unity kit, all because of this rabbit........

How adorable is that!!  I started this project in blue because HLS wanted blue for their CAS challenge.  It became obvious that it wasn't going to be CAS LOL, but then I spotted their mixed media challenge, where they wanted rip or tear.  What a fun idea.

I die cut a tag in navy blue using Stamplorations Luggage Tag die and added pale blue chalk ink through Stamplorations Stars Align stencil.  Then I ripped my tag in three places.

Accentuated the rips and then distressed the edges.

I stamped a Unity heart stamp on pale blue card using Dare2BArtzy Midnight Blue ink.  I die cut using the tag die, layered it behind my ripped layer and distressed the edges in the ripped areas.  The bunny is from Unity KOTM 1/17, stamped, embossed, fussy cut and coloured with brusho's and pigment inks.  Then I added another tag behind, medium blue edged with the midnight blue ink.  You can just see it behind the hearts layer.

Ooh, wanted to make a two layer tag for ages.  Animal lovers beware!!!

Yes, I'm sad to say two bunnies lost their ears so I could fussy cut the roses to put at the top and the bottom of this tag.  I stamped the heart from the KOTM 1/17 in Stormy Sky distress ink and then the sentiment from Unity's Anastasia (Believes) in Midnight Blue.  I should have stamped it a bit lower, clear of the heart.  It reads

'she decided to schedule some time each day to be
overwhelmed by the sheer amazingness of it all'

The silver heart is a metal charm from Korthobby.no.  I added blue rhinestones to it and some blue wool and silver thread to finish.

Thanks for dropping by. Hugz

Quick Make Hot Chocolate

Hello.  Welcome.  I was going to punctuate the title but couldn't decide......

Quick!  Make hot chocolate.

Quick Make, Hot Chocolate.

OK, can't do more than that.  But while I was waiting for glue to dry I made this.  No, really!  I was waiting for glue to dry.

Super quick tag.  About 26 and a half minutes.  Don't look too closely at the embosssing!!  It's a bit specky.  Less haste, more speed obviously needed.  Anyway, tag cut from snowflake patterned paper using Stamplorations Luggage Tag die (large).  Add a scrap of green card.  The cup is from Unity's January KOTM (NBUS) stamped and embossed on some paper that I coloured with brusho's.  The sentiment was created by using Promarkers to make a quick plaid pattern on a piece of card and die cut with Stamplorations Peace, Love, Joy die.  It was fading into the brusho background so I cut two more joy's from black card and layered them to give a shadow.  A bit of recycled sari and done!!

All New Almost

Hello.  Welcome.  Decided to go all out for my final entry to Darnell's final NBUS challenge.  Was trying for 100% NBUS but it all went a bit, oooh, 75% maybe.  So here it is, tortoise on a tag.

I decided I would try Darnell's dare - stamping with bubble wrap.  Well, why not??

I cut my tag using the large Stamplorations Luggage Tag die (NBUS).  Then I stamped with bubble wrap and Picked Raspberry distress ink.  New technique for me.  Pretty cool texture.

I stamped and embossed the turtle from Dare 2B Artsy Turtle Couple (NBUS) with pink embossing powder (NBUS) and fussy cut her.  I also stamped, embossed and fussy cut the tiny tag from LOTV and added some wool stuff.

OK, maybe 50% NBUS.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

It's Here!! Check it Out!!!!

Hello.  Welcome.  I have heard that excessive use of exclamation marks is a sure sign of madness!!  Oops.....   No madness here, honest guvnor'.  Just excited, cos the January Reveal of the Card Chain Challenge is up on the Card Chain Challenge blog.  I am working behind the scenes with Deborah and Jo to keep this awesome exchange running smoothly and you really need to check out the awesome cards that have flown around the world in January.  They are Awesome!  But before you rush off.....

I have already shared the card I sent to Betty for January, but I actually made two this time.  This is not usual, but sadly Anita lost her father this month, very unexpectedly and suddenly, and I offered to send her card to Cat in MD, just to help her out a little at this very sad and difficult time.  I know everyone is sending their love and best wishes to you Anita. I hope that you like the card I sent to Cat on your behalf.  Hugz

I didn't really notice that both cards I made used fairy images until Betty commented that she liked the little fairy I used on her card!  This one is a LOTV stamp.  I thought she looked like she is about to blow a kiss to the ladybug.  I used the January CCC colours and the theme of friendship.  I've coloured with distress inks and my waterbrush, and you might be able to see the glitter from the W&N iridescent watercolour medium.  The sentiment is from Crafty Individuals.

Thanks for stopping by.  The February sign up is open until 6th February, if you think you would like to join this chain of awesome ladies and get a little snail mail dropping into your letterbox.  We would love for you to join the fun, especially if you are from a country beginning with L, O, Q, R, T, U, V, W, X, Y or Z, cos Deborah, whose wonderful idea this card exchange is, has never had people from countries beginning with those letters join the chain.  Come on, you know you want to.......   Hugz
