Trick or Tequilla

Hello Nomad friends.  Hope you are having a splendiferous day.  I would like to thank Jo for sending me this awesomely fun stamp set by Whimsy Stamps called Pick Your Poison.  I just had to make a bottle tag with it.......

I cut the bottle tag using a Papirdesigns die from card I had blended Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Blueprint Sketch distress ink on.  I returned the circle outcut to act as the moon.  I stamped the spooky dudes on white card, coloured with distress markers, fussy cut and added them to the bottom of the tag.  To finish I stamped the little spider and two of the fun sentiments.

Snippets Deer Snippets

Hello Nomad friends.  I was desk diving and found a few blue bits lying close together that seemed to be made for each other.  The gloss white card base was a bad idea for a number of reasons, but I loved arranging these random bits into a fun geometric design.

I used an acrylic block wrapped with string to stamp my subtle blue lines on the base card with distress ink.  I arranged three triangle snippets, a die cut circle, a tiny spiral and a white snowflake chopped in two.  Then I cut the elizabeth craft deer and added a Papirdesigns chipboard button.  Merry Christmas!!

Happy Doll

Hello Nomad friends.  It's been a busy sort of a day.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some more inspiration for Black and White Plus One Challenge.   I decided to go yellow, cos it's a happy colour and I don't use it enough.

This Lost Coast Designs Oriental Doll stamp always makes me think happy.  I started by stamping Lost Coast Designs Pondscum Background on dark yellow card with black ink.  Then I stamped Oriental Doll with black ink on yellow and white card.  I cut round the yellow doll image removing the chequered border and mounted it on the white version.  I stamped the sentiment from Lost Coast Designs Party Words on white card and mounted on a piece of black.  I added the doll and the sentiment to the stamped background and done!!!

Hope you enjoyed my happy oriental doll card.  You have all month to join the fun at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with your stamped makes using black and white plus one other colour.

We need at least 20 entries to award the prize.

Breakfast Chocolate

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some inspiration for the Black and White Plus One Challenge.  I really hope you have a chance to join the fun.  I think this will be a super pretty gallery, and if we get over 20 entries one of you will win a real stamp prize!

Today I have used Carmen's Veranda Kukla and made a simple mixed media card.  This little clown is a favourite of mine.

I die cut a thin piece of corrugated card from a box with a Simon Says Stamp stitch die.  Love how the corrugated card gets compacted and makes a robust but light panel.  I ripped a piece of A4 white paper and used the two ripped edges to form a mask before stamping Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background with brown ink.  I found a piece of tree bark, dampened it with a bit of water and pressed it in my die cut machine to flatten it.  When it dried I added it and a small piece of brown die cut card to my stamped panel.  Then I stamped Kukla on white card with black ink, fussy cut him and added him to the card.  To finish I stamped the Carmen's Veranda Not Just For Breakfast sentiment.

Starry Starry Bauble

Hello Nomad friends.  I am a little behind on my xmas card schedule after making none last month, so after tripping over this wooden bauble decoration yet again on my desk I decided it was time to get it used.

I paired it with a piece of blue card that I had cleaned my brush after using Aztec paint, so it's got some nice pearlescent brushstrokes on it.  I couldn't make up my mind about the bauble hanger dings and in the end cut a star from card and added a Papirdesigns text button.

Chocolate Mousse

Hello Nomad friends.  Second of the month and time for the August Card Chain Challenge Reveal.   Make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card.  Everyone is a winner!!!!

26 awesome artists exchanged cards around the world this month.  I received a beautiful card from Joanne in the UK and mine winged it's way to Imke in Germany.

I went with the options of colours, exact matching not required LOL, friendship and mouse.  But I only need to use one so it's all good.  I used a Graphic 45 journal card for my base panel and added some promarker colour to some of the printed elements.  I stamped around a bit with Lost Coast Designs Small Circle Shaddow Frame stamp off block with tan ink and added a die cut hello from Poppystamps.  The mouse id Lost Coast Designs Ta Dah! stamped on grey card and fussy cut.   I added some texture using promarkers to give him a bit of a fluffy look.

If you would like to see all the amazing card that winged their way around the planet for August check out the REVEAL POST

Panda Happy

Hello Nomad friends.  Another new month and new challenges to play along with.   I'd like to thank everyone who continues to keep us entertained and inspired with challenges and prizes.   It's a lot of work to run a challenge and real prizes cost money and postage!!!   Maybe try and support a site this month that you don't usually have a chance to, or maybe a new one to you.  Share the love and make new friends.

Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity we are challenging you to use Black and White and One Other Colour.  We also require real clear or rubber stamping on your anythings.  I am so looking forward to seeing the linky gallery this month.   It should be very striking!!!

The team have shared some fun inspiration to get us going and I made a tag with this fun Lost Coast Designs Large Panda.  The tag was cut with a Dasiy Mae die and I randomly stamped elements from Lost Coast Designs Travel Stuff and the Corner Swirl.  I added my stamped and fussy cut Panda and gave him a pink bow.  I stamped the Party Words sentiment on a couple of white scraps, added some pink and white funky wool and done!

Hope you get some time to hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity, check out all the fun B&W + 1 from the team, and maybe join the fun.   We need 20 entries to award the prize.

A Boy and His Dog

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some more masculine inspiration for the For The Men Challenge.  They say man's best friend is a dog and, starting them early, here is Milo and Raphael.

Love this little boy and dog stamp.  I stamped it onto a white panel with archival ink and water-coloured with distress inks.  Then I took 4 pawprints from Lost Coast Designs Pawprint Border and stamped them repeatedly up each side of the image.   I had a little over inking on the top of the rubber but liked the effect, so left it in and accented it a little with the hickory smoke distress ink.

You have all month to join the fun with your stamped makes featuring men or masculine things.
We need at least 20 entries to award the prize.

Truckin'

Hello Nomad friends.  Playing with Poppystamps Whittle Panda Pickup today and I decided to cut it from patterned paper.  This first attempt was a fabulous success me feels.

I used Stamperia design paper for the truck and some from Authentique for the background.  I cut Poppystamps Brilliant Star Oval from yellow Bazzill and Whittle Witch, cut from white card and coloured with promarkers, is your driver today.

Souwester Mouse

Hello Nomad friends.  I am snowed under with beans and picking fruit like it's going out of fashion.  I do love this time of plenty.   The weather is a very changeable so harvesting is interspersed with making when it gets showery.

Today I made a maritime themed card with this awesomely cute Memory Box Rainy Day Mouse.  Isn't he adorbs in his rainwear!!!!   I used paper addicts Ahoy There patterned papers and added some aztec paint blue and silver splatts.  I used lots of little scraps to cut the mouse, and also the fish and frame, from Memory Box Underwater Scene, and to stamp my sentiments, which come from Memory Box  Oceanside Typewriter Sentiment stamp set.

Travelling Boris

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some inspiration for the For The Men Challenge.

I've used Carmen's Veranda Boris.  Isn't he wonderful!!   I do love these big people faces stamps.

I decided to go black and white for this card.   I stamped Lost Coast Designs Mini Phrenology Collage twice on a white card panel with black archival ink.  Then I stamped Boris on white card, fussy cut him and added him.  To finish I stamped a couple of stamps from Lost Coast Designs Travel Quotes set.

Forever After Fusion

Hello Nomad friends.   I do enjoy making wedding cards.  This one was inspired by a sketch and 7 Gypsy papers.

It all started with that spellbinders stitch die panel cut in black and red and the marianne designs wedding couple silhouette.  Goth wedding me thinks, but then I found these lovely 7 gypsy papers and the background went a bit vintage.  Used scraps for the tiny tag, those cute little heart envelopes at the bottom, the vertical stripes, and the just married and mr and mrs words were hanging off a partial cut sheet.

One Man and His Truck

Hello Nomad friends.  The new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is For the Men.  Did I hear you groan???!!!!  Where's your spirit of adventure??  Your get up and go??  I know, it got up and went bwahahahahaaa.  But do not despair!   The team and I are going to inspire your socks off and masculine will be our new favourite topic, at least for this month LOL.

I started by digging out some game stamps, Carmen's Veranda Dice Background  and Lost Coast Designs Domino Border.  I stamped the dice background with midnight blue archival on pale blue card.  Then I stamped the domino border a few times on white card, fussy cut and added it as a frame around my background.  I stamped and Carmen's Veranda Old Truck with black archival ink on some UHK mottled blue patterned card and fussy cut.  Then I cut out the windows with a craft knife and backed them with a piece of the same UHK card.  WHY???!!   Why did I do that??  Answers on a postcard to me..........   Of course, it looks so much better because I did use a piece of the patterned card that was 2 tones lighter bwahaahhaaaaaaaa.

Anyway, hop over and check out all the wonderful man makes.  The team has so many amazing ideas, and we even give a real red rubber prize when we get more than 20 entries in the linky.   New ideas will be added all month so grab you coffee and box of after eights and join us.
